I always wanted to play the flute as a kid but lessons were expensive. I had a CASIO keyboard that I’d tinker with as a kid though, and I loved it. I also had my dad’s old acoustic guitar he’d let me strum on occasionally. His side was where I get my musical ability.

I have recently "stumbled" across your channel and subscribed. I enjoy listening to your playing! I'm not a professional musician, but when I was in elementary school I attended elementary music school as well, and I had played the piano and sang in the choir. I love music! However, I haven't continued with my music education, my life took a different course... But now, I really miss classical music and I would like to take up piano again, as well as singing.
Also, my daughter, who is now 7 years old and just finished 1st grade, LOVES music, and sings really well too. I enrolled her to music school this year (directly to 2nd grade, she skipped 1st grade), and although she really wanted to play the piano, it wasn't possible in my town this year (because she skipped 1st grade - it's a long story). So, to cut the long story short, in the end she picked FLUTE! I asked her what other instrument would she like to play, besides the piano, (she also likes the guitar, but that also wasn't an option and I didn't like that for her, honestly, lol), and I played some instrument presentation videos on CZcams for her, as well as some concert performance videos, and I mostly asked her about violin and flute. And out of all of them, she liked flute the most! I was very pleased with her choice because it's a very elegant, gracious instrument, and really adequate for girls, in my opinion, along with having a beautiful sound. I hope that she likes it when she actually starts (she starts this September, God willing).

Hi I hope you respond but am I supposed to be able to see my headjoint cork because my crown came off by accident and the cork is really big and it shows more on one side then the other is this normal or has the cork expanded because when you first got it I was only able to see the the metal on top of the cork.
It might need to be adjusted or replaced to ensure a seal. It is a routine fix for most name brand flutes. Find a local music shop they may be able to help.
Whyvdoesnt eastsr sell piccolo on their website anymore
Not sure, but I think there are new companies or they did a rebrand on there piccolos. But I can't be sure.
