7 Wonders: Edifice gives players the opportunity to work together to construct communal buildings. If you do your part and the building comes to be, you'll be rewarded. You don't have to participate, but if you don't - and the building never comes to be - you'll suffer a penalty.
In more detail, this expansion contains fifteen edifice cards: five each in ages I, II, and III. To set up, choose one card from each age at random, then place it project side face up on the table and place 2-5 participation markers on each card, depending on the number of players. The project side lists both the potential reward and potential penalty.
Once during an age, when you construct a level of your wonder, you can pay the cost of the edifice card for the current age (in addition to the cost of that level) and gain a participation marker from that card.
As soon as the last participation marker is removed from a card, flip the card over to reveal its constructed side and immediately give each player the listed reward. If at the end of the age at least one participation marker remains on the card, each player without one of these markers suffers the penalty. (If a player cannot suffer the full penalty, e.g., paying 5 coins, they instead take a debt token worth -2, -3, or -5 points depending on the age.)
7 Wonders: Edifice contains two new double-sided wonders; one of them, Ur, can only be used with this expansion, while Carthage can be used in any game of 7 Wonders.
7 Wonders: Edifice can be used with any edition of 7 Wonders.

I also liked Babel and the Project expansion but the same was out of print for long so I made the project cards and stuffs at home and loved it playing my group. I think Repos heard my request and came up with this Projects expansion. This really give some spice to the game play and makes the play more Intreactive and interesting. For us this is a must have expansion to play 7 wonders along with Leaders and Armada.❤
I was also a bit worried about storage since I also got the Folded Space Insert (which I also love, the best inserts out there). So thanks for this video. Now I'm getting dressed to go to the store I get a copy of my own! :)

I just upgraded from 1st edition to the 2nd with all expansions. Would you recommend the Folded Space insert? Good to hear Edifice fits as well
For 7 Wonders if you have everything? Yes!! It's not designed with Edifice in mind so I don't know if they will amend it in the future, but as I said, I can get everything in the box.

Honestly I don't know if a size exists, they fit nothing on the guide mouse mats I used to measure the cards

@@ishimwedesire4520 I had some spare sleeves from Paladin (Morgana if I recall). A little bit long but perfect widthwise. Maybe pricey for 15 cards but it was spares 🤣
So there exist sleeves for it.
I don’t know for other brands but the Morgana are 101.5*150. I’ll check later and come back if I missed the name.

I have a Folded Space Insert and I found space for them in there somehow.
The funny thing is that my game group that we primarily played 7 Wonders with never want to play with Leaders and always wanted Babel (I was the only one who liked Leaders). Seems we are in opposite world.
There seems to be a mix on leaders but when I hear reasons for disliking it, outside of extra icons I don't quite follow their logic.
@@TheBrokenMeeple what about my reason of it being super unbalanced, they havent playtested the leaders enough imo. Some leaders like archimedes are plain OP
really? Never had that issue with them. Have Archimedes, I'll just ditch /grab the science.
@@TheBrokenMeeple Maybe our experiences are different because I have rarely played with a higher player count (the game is less strategic and more random imo) but I would suggest you to the wonderfulplays youtube channel where the game is analysed as if it was chess (Yes the game is that good that you have new things and interesting plays even after 5k games even without expansions)
So if you have Babel the projects are almost the same? Can you compare them in another video? Then are only the 2 Wonders interesting.
There are some tweaks to the Projects. Firstly you can contribute after building a wonder stage, it's not keyed to colour card any more. And the effects are a little different. You also know at the start of the game what the 3 projects will be.
I never got the newest edition of 7 wonders will this work with the older edition

I reckon this won't be available for the old version of the game?
According to Repos this is fully compatible with the first edition and I can see why, because the cards are separate from the normal ones so there's no clash.
I own everything for the old edition of 7 Wonders, and I would be interested in this expansion, but I am not rebuying everything for the new edition. Especially since the new edition is functionally worse (the cards that provide a free card in the next age no longer show you what that free card will give you).
I probably would cave and do it if they came out with a definitive big box with everything, like you suggest at the end of your video.
This particular expansion is compatible with the first edition.
I saw it writted everywhere that it is compatible with the 1st edition.
I am also a fan of the original game, and like me, imagine how many milions copies were sold in the 10 years of existance of the 1st edition.
I have basegame, armada, leaders, cities, siracrusa wonder, the new wonders pack, leaders anniversary, coties anniversary.
The new expansion is not as cconpatible as you sugest. The wonders are bigger, the cards have different backs, even the card to choose wonder is different so will never be selected randomply as the game needs. The new guild also have another backs.
Please, for the loyal fanboys print it with the original version compatibility and stop trying to convince your fans that it is compatible
