Did anyone realise that when catnap gets electrocuted he gets up and breaths his gas the gas gets caught on fire from the sparks of the electricity so that's why he goes on fire
Not sure about that.. the flares didn’t set it on fire, so. Pretty sure some sort of device overclocked and exploded which probably set him on fire.
@S_N1ST3R Some things need something hotter to light them the flares weren't hot enough but the huge amounts of electricity were probably thousands of degrees

A lot of people forget about the fact that he literally said that they would eat you inside out and just think he's being puppted around which do you think is worse?

I feel insanely terrible for dog day.. may he rest in piece he looked up to us like a little last bit of hope in this nightmarish factory just wish there was a way we can even save him being the only smiling critter alive and normal..
Catnap knew the Prototype was there for him. But beckoned him to come willingly, and he did as he worships the Prototype like a god. Hence the holy effect with the light and the hand stretching down all godly.
But what about the hour of joy? Poppy lied to us! We should call the fbi!
I feel like catnap thought the prototype would grab his hands and bring him up with him but instead killed catnap instead so he could gather another toy to add to himself

Maybe catnap knew that his time has come, and has accepted what ever fate/death the prototype gives him or he wanted to be part of him so he can stay with him forever since before he became catnap, him and the prototype were friends.

No look at Prototypes hand, it comes down and CatNap is first scared but then Prototype turns his hand around and puts it out as if he is trying to help CatNap. CatNap then thinks everything is ok and is about to take Prototypes hand but then Prototype turns on him. I thought it was pretty obvious that Prototype tricks CatNap
Hard to say who the true monster really is Playtime co or the Prototype. Its like the toys are saying "the Prototype has freed us" and the Prototype just says "oh I wouldn't say saved, more like under new management"

This story was WILD from start to finish.
Honestly I think the thing that Kissy was fighting was none other than Boxy Boo since we haven’t seen him anywhere in the warehouse and he was never confirmed dead.

After Chapter 3, the biggest question I came away with wasn't what happened to Kissy, who's Ollie, or any of the obvious. I was wondering who's ultimately right: the Prototype, or Poppy? On one hand, the Prototype only sought vengeance on the employees who have been turning kids and other adults into toys, as did the toys, and they achieved just that on the Hour of Joy. On the other hand, Poppy seems to be anti-violence and was not happy with the killing of every employee inside Playtime Co. This is one of those classic soul-searching questions of peace or war. Here, I am at a crossroads.
My only complaints are first, that CatNap wasn't as much of a threat as expected. I thought he'd be a roaming enemy, therefore a much bigger problem to deal with. Instead, we only saw him in a couple of scripted sequences and then dealt with him in the boss fight.
The second is that the Prototype killed him in the end. I wanted to kill him myself lol
But that’s the thing though the Hour of Joy was a bloody rebellion where everyone was killed. Poppy stated that they killed innocents who had nothing to do with the Prototype and other Play Co experiment’s treatment. The Prototype deserved to have vengeance but when its wrath extended beyond its captors that’s when it became wrong. The fact that it’s planning to assimilate the others into a new body and potentially threaten others is reason enough to stop it and side with Poppy.

My question is can't they just leave the factory. I know it might not be easy but from what I've seen the front entrance must not have locked in order for the player character to enter, so it's safe to assume that they could leave just as easily as we got in.
I’m pretty sure poppy made a point to say not just the guilty was killed but bystanders and innocents meaning most likely kids were also killed if we’re to believe poppy told us the truth -which yeah the footage supports this(just most likely they don’t want to show children being attacked for obvious reasons)

I found the tapes about the kids who are taken to be turned into experiments being the most disturbing. The one with the parents who were willing to adopt one of the kids but they were already taken for 'testing' was straight up heartbreaking 💔

DogDay is an anthropomorphic orange-furred dog with black eyes, floppy ears, a black nose, and a yellow outer mouth and belly. His paws and ears, along with the left side of his face, have a copper-red color. Similar to the other Smiling Critters, DogDay is depicted with a wide toothless grin (the inner mouth shrouded in darkness), and he possesses a black zipper line running down his center, with the zipper sporting a gold sun pendant with orange sun rays.
DogDay’s cartoon appearance is roughly the same as his toy appearance, albeit with his zipper line removed, the addition of white pupils, and the zipper pendant now attached to a black necklace.
The Bigger Bodies version of DogDay takes on a ragged and costume-like appearance, and is missing his legs. He has large black stitches connecting his right arm to his body, and, like CatNap, his black pupils have white irises. He wears iron shackles around his arms and a belt is tied tightly around his waist (likely so his organs don't fall out).

I think that at the end it symbolizes how he was burned my the green hand when he was still a kid and now the same thing happens and the protype is there to help again at least that’s what we thought at 10:04 we see his ears drop like he knew he was abt to be killed but was hesitant but gave in and was like “ my lord, take my body and make it apart of u” and open his arms up to make himself vulnerable

Prototype - Elijah Delaney, Nola Klop, Eric True, Avalon Delaney, Baldwin Williams Jr., Micah Preciado, and Joaquin Auguste.
Note that these are voice actors from the other voices we hear throughout the game. EX: Baldwin Williams Jr. Is dog day, Harley Sawyer, and the radio voice. And Nola Klop voicing Poppy and Stella.

My theory is with Olly is the robot-boy connects with the technology and the phones he might be working with a prototype that’s my theory anyway. I’m going to get more tragic story

To be Honest.I thought Catnap would be the scariest character in the chapter but turns out the new character Miss Delight was the one who gave me nightmares.just look at her face😫😢
i want an official or fan made animation of catnap vs the smiling critters, cus dogday said that "We tried to fight it, the prototype's control." meaning that the rest of the smiling critters' big bodies, along with dogday dont seem to be too keen on the whole hour of joy thing.
This entire game did definitely freak me out lol

@LtzSavge according to poppy, catnap was the last obstacle before 1006, so I would say the story is only going to have 5 chapters and that they’re gonna make chapter 4-5 about defeating it

I liked this chapter and all, but I can’t help but think that Catnap had more potential as an antagonist compared to what we got in the end. His concept as a monster is much more terrifying than Huggy or Mommy. A creature whose fear factor is the result of him playing with your mind. His regular form alone is creepy enough but with that gas he looks otherworldly. I just wish this chapter offered more sections where he chased you.
yeah same, huggy and mommy got these long chase sequences, especially mommy when we had to play hidenseek with her. but catnap was hardly there to even do anything besides stalk us and then do smth at the end
I don’t know I’m kind of conflicted about this chapter, on one hand, it did have plenty of content and puzzles to solve, but catnap barely did anything, there was literally no other smiling critters besides him and dog day, from the bigger body initiative anyways? I do like how they made experiment 1006 sound
I mean, Dog Day did say he was the last among the smiling critters. But I don’t think he considered CatNap as a smiling critter anymore. And the fact that DogDays is chained could mean that Catnap killed the others.

But a boss fight it was so cool and his final form was terrifying

Ahh, the prodotype is actually ollie, hes mimicking him in doing th hark work, as in killing all the toys to make him stronger, he forced us in the teacher area where we smashed here face, and and she was vulnerable then he did the exact same with catnap, hes gonna be the big bad of chapter 4 and we will see his fate!

Why are people thinking that CatNap willingly sacrifices himself to Prototype? I thought it was pretty obvious that Prototype tricks CatNap. Prototype sticks his hand down and CatNap is scared at first like he thinks Proto is gonna be mad at him but then Prototype turns his hand around and offers it to CatNap as to help him. Then CatNap thinks everything is ok and puts his arms out like a child waiting for a parent to pick them up, not because he is sacrificing himself. CatNap IS a child after all in case you all didn't realize it

Actually I do agree with you there in a bit but now I DO get why people think he seems willing to give his body up for him and I have a theory in which I believe this narrows down to 1 Thing: Cultism.
If there’s one thing that gave the toys what they believed is worth freedom, it’s IN the Prototype. A majority of them would do anything for him. Willing to off, and feed people to his will. To help prove your point, it’s
possible that the Prototype didn’t give 2 shits about Catnap just so he could use his body parts up for something. Cult leaders love being in control. This is evident too in how the voice narrations of some smiling Critters, when they “break out of character” and how they die. It shows you how they are finished off when they don’t follow him.
But it can contrast because the prototype mentions the pain they go through being tortured and beaten by the scientists. As revenge, he’d endorse on killing other people for this just out of immense hatred and the player is the breaker of his peace

I wonder why Poppy hides who Ollie is, he can't be the prototype like many people suggest, cause Poppy refers to him as if she knows him in person and knows he's good. I do believe Ollie is a good person, helping Kissy probably before Poppy got released. Wonder if he was a human that managed to calm down some of the toys, we never see the toys attacking actual children in the video, so maybe an orphan managed to escape and found a way to calm them down and make them realize he's just a kid? Though it would be hard to explain how a human would survive in there, rotting corpses are not known to be a good source of food for a human. Though I doubt he's just any normal toy, he clearly knows how the factory works and what's going on inside the playhouse. Only realistic theory I have is that Ollie is one of the smiling critters who's made it out, probably ashamed that he did not go back for Dogday, but clearly knowing about the little critters inside the building.
Since cat naps gas is combustible it might be a vital key in the next game. Probably to spread throughout the facility and blow it up in the end, but frankly I don’t think the Dev would take that route

Yeah, the story is pretty messed up, but it’s also all over the place too. They did an awesome job though! And this chapter is way more terrifying than the other 2 chapters.

I have a feeling that kissy missy was the girl that inhaled the red smoke in one of the tapes, and that poppy is the woman who wanted to desperately see for herself if her little girl was okay.
That is why they are so close to each other. Just a little theory i guess!!

Stella can't be Poppy, Poppy was made in the 1950s and Stella is still alive in 1991, this was confirmed in Chapter 3's ARG with the cross-department report
The story really reminds me of the Deathstalker books, where there was a planet for adults to be children again, ran entirely by AI with animatronic toys that controlled everything. Was peaceful, let people heal, until it wasnt. Rogue AI who hated humanity injected knowledge, "free will" and a kill order onto the AI on the planet, causing every single toy to go on a murder spree. Afterwards the planet was quarantined to stop them from leaving the planet until the protags arrive and find out that there is now an ongoing war on the planet. Toys that follow the rogue AIs kill order and those who while shocked to their core, wanted to be the toys they were based off of and protect humans.
I like that this chapter confirmed Poppy IS good, after all.

The Next chapter is the prototipe, Poppy and Olly Warned us that catnap was the last obstacle the prototipe created, now hes the only One left

I am honestly surprised that nobody questioned where did this random kid came with so much knowledge on whereabouts of everything fact that the prototype can mimic voices and “that shrine, did it scare you? If you thought that was terrifying just wait until you see that real thing Ollie said Ollie is admitting himself has seen the prototype that is interesting and also Ollie is a shady character because how does it know about the incident of Theodore? He sounds between 9 to 13 years old and how would he be able to remember that thing? And he also didn’t mention anything about him being an orphan, so surely he is one of them OR the prototype.

I think catnap didn't got betrayed by the prototype since the way he was standing and his pose more like he willingly sacrificed himself for the prototype so he can be apart of his so called "God"
What i found disturbing is the story. The notes which can be found is just from the kids, comparing to chapter 1 and 2, i think we should have some notes like brief information of dogdays, catnap, or other member of smiling critters written on playtime co. paper, but no such thing was found (i do not play the game yet, but i do watch the full gameplay from several channels, if i am wrong please correct me). Secondly, an ally Ollie appear from nowhere and force the player to follow him. Why the player have to do that? You don't have to listen to the stranger and do anything he/she wants.

No catnap gave up his body at the time of death because he knew he was gonna die soon but he wanted to help the prototype on last time so he gave up his body to make the prototype stronger OR he could’ve got revived but that’s not very likely heh

I wonder where Ollie is because sense the ending of chapter 3 we don’t know what happened to kissy missy I mean sense we helped Ollie out I’m just curious if we will meet him in chapter 4 because we don’t know where he is like I know we found out what the hour of joy was when we defeated catnap but after that we get to the ending really and I will say it did end on a good part because we all know we wanna know what happened to kissy missy sense we really don’t know 🥲 this chapter was so dark and definitely deep and scary but I feel so bad for dog day to be honest 😢he couldn’t escape and it’s sad what happens to him I know I’m typing a lot it’s just I really am curious I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who’s curious where Ollie is and if we will see him sense he’s the only kid alive I’m pretty sure he will appear in the 4th chapter I do feel bad for catnap after all he went through a lot because he was a normal person a child and tested on just to become something that would be useful for the company I also feel bad for everyone else who got tested and turned into I really hope nothing bad happened to kissy missy she’s honestly a good character I’m pretty I’m just assuming this isn’t true maybe the prototype didn’t attack kissy missy it could be something else we really don’t know 🥲I’m eager to know I think the tapes definitely told us a lot about what was going on when poppy plays the hour of joy tape it’s so sad I can understand why they attacked the workers and people they weren’t treated fair they were brought into a place that felt like home but just as it felt like home they didn’t know what they would get into I think when they were attacking they also attacked innocent people but they couldn’t know who to trust I mean they were test subjects that wasn’t fair to them but still a lot of in it people did and a lot of guilty people died I can’t blame them to be honest being test subjects they had to endure so much pain from what I know is the orphanage was inside the factory what sucked was they weren’t allowed to go out and get sunlight they couldn’t experience sunlight flowers trees etc I’m sorry to typing so much I’m just saying this chapter was phenomenal it definitely had a good story to it but it was also dark and sad hopefully the next chapter will come when there ready to finish it if it takes a year that’s fine they worked hard on chapter three they definitely will do something awesome with developing chapter 4 anyways enjoy your day and night sorry for typing so much I felt like I had to write this 😂
