Visiting the LARGEST Buddhist temple in THE WORLD 🇮🇩 Yogyakarta, Indonesia

- After Jakarta, we spent three days in Yogyakarta. Except, we actually spent the day in Bandung first. While I was editing that video, I didn't feel like it did the city justice or shared our true opinions of Indonesia. We were both tired, grumpy, and were staying in a HORRIBLE hotel and therefore we didn't really do anything except eat really spicy food, walk around the city, and meet some friendly locals. That being said, I did make the video but I'm choosing not to post it. If that's something you would be interested in, leave a comment down below and I might release it!
We LOVED Yogyakarta but not nearly as much as Jakarta. This city felt a little more touristy and after travelling for so long that put a bit of a sour taste in our mouths. But that was quickly turned around when we met the most lovely locals, tried some great food, and really got to see what life was like in this area. Candi Borobudur was BEAUTIFUL and we absolutely loved all of the culture and history that this area had to offer.

Every school must have a travel program while visiting places that can provide insight and knowledge to its students. This program is known as a study tour which usually takes museums or historical places where students can learn about the history of ancient objects there. Currently there is another program term that is also popular, namely Field Trip which also contains student activities outside of school with various useful activities. Both study tours and field trips have become routine activities in almost all schools every year.

Borobudur was on the middle of an ancient lake and it shape is like a lotus in the middle of a pond. Built during the Mataram Medhang kingdom and the landscape had already changed because volcanos activities and other geological activities in more for a thousand year. At least there is 5 Buddhist temple at Yogyakarta; Borobudur (sambharabuddhara), Mendut (Manjushri Grha), Plaosan, Kalasan, and Candi Sewu. All these temples built by Mataram Medhang kingdom.

Wait..wait.. ooh no.. you missed out 2 main tourist destinations in satellite cities near Jakarta. In Indonesia, every metropolitan/big city has a buffer/satellite city which is generally a tourism city. For example, Jakarta has 2 satellite cities, namely Bandung and Bogor and many tourist attractions there. Yogyakarta has Solo as satellite city, Surabaya has Malang and Batu as satellite cities, etc. Bandung is very famous as tourist destination for its culinary, arts, heritage sites and natural beauty of its mountainous areas.

We actually did go to Bandung I just didn’t post the vlog! It was nice but we were very tired. We stopped in Malang quickly as well! We’ll have to go to Bogor next time :)
We actually went to many cities in Java! Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Semarang, Surabaya, Malang/Bromo/Ijen, and then Bali, Lombok, and Gili Meno. We loved Indonesia :)

Traveling in Indonesia seems like a long journey. Many foreigners say that after traveling to Indonesia, they feel that Indonesia is very vast and can't be seen on a globe or Google map. Indonesia's territories that appear miniature on the globe and Google Map are actually different, this is due to the influence of the ancient colonial era when world maps were made using the Mercator projection, which was a misconception. Actually, if you travel from Jakarta city to Bali island then it is the same as the distance from London, UK to Rome, Italy. You can see on TheTrueSize website which I know is quite informative. That's why for some Indonesians traveling between distant islands is considered quite expensive. Enjoy your trip and hopeful your channel will grow quickly. In fact, Borobudur Temple is not in the Yogyakarta but Magelang, a city near Yogyakarta.
If it was kopi luwak then it is the most expensive coffee in the world
that's Prambanan. it's a Hindu temple.
Borobudur is the Buddhist temple
but for me personally,I prefer Prambanan more than Borobudur,since Borobudur is like an"artificial hill". it have no room,while Prambanan have rooms inside.

so sorry to tell u, actually you provided wrong information about the location of Borobudur Temple. Borobudur is geographically located in Magelang Regency in Central Java Province and not in Yogyakarta
