Here you can see a revision of this game by nitsuja ( tasvideos.org/... ), 04:35.32 minutes faster than the previous run by mazzeneko ( tasvideos.org/... ). The strategy used was changed radically, using Raphael instead of Donatello and using dash moves more often.
The damage for every move was mapped out carefully by monitoring the internal values of the RAM, to be able to choose the best attack for every situation. Luck was manipulated to make some enemies appear in more convenient positions.

Neon Night-Riders takes place in 2020. We truly are in the wrong timeline.
And imagine, in that timeline, Krang gets defeated by the Turtles on hoverboards, then has to wait 80 years for the Starbase to get finished to have his shot at revenge.
16:09 A.D. 2020? Now it all makes sense. The reason no one is out on the streets is because they were too busy quarantining!

Neon night riders for me. Inspired me to start checking out synthwave stuff.
The whole soundtrack is one of the best. It's credited to M.IZUMI which I presume is Mutsuhiko Izumi, who still works for Konami. He has made songs that have appeared in various Konami music games (BEMANI titles).

Raphael is the fastest turtle in the game and his special attack hits the hardest, but he has very low health.
I thought Donatello had the lowest health due to his ability to hit the hardest. Plus his range is super good.
@@EsperHubb Mike hit the hardest. usually 3 standard strikes to take out most foot soldiers.
@@EsperHubb Donatello's heath is better than Ralpael. Tho still worse than Leo''s, and Mikey's health. Donatello is also the slowest. But his reach makes up for it. Not sure about the power tho.
Mikey is the toughest of all turtles, But his attack speed is a bit weak. tho movement speed is very good. only slower than Raphael.
I was wondering why Raph was chosen for this playthrough, and this is the reason why. Speed, simple as that?! I guess so! Thanks.
@@ChronoSquare Funny thing is I found out this stuff back when I rented this game back when BlockBuster was around. I tested things against Super Shredder and the one thing I remembered was how Raph took more damage. When the turtles get knocked back their animation changes based on how much health they have left and Raph was always go flying in two or three hits if I recall.

Wow, it's almost a longer amount of time between the run and now than when the game came out and the run happened.

For some reason, it cracks me the hell up that you defeat Shredder the first time by HURLING FOOT SOLDIERS AT HIM lol.
It's funny but when I was younger I had a hard time figuring out how to do that. I knew I had to throw them at him but I couldn't figure out how to do the throw in the first place
Damn this game I wasn't able to finish this back in the day, and here's this guy finishing it in under 20mins. I love it!!!
A timeless classic and tbh I even liked the shellshock remake.
I could only imagine how a 2-player TAS would work. Between this and the Donatello version of it, that would be a good place to start using Don and Raph together.

Dang, they totally missed the ball predicting F-Zero tracks surrounding our garishly-colored neon cities in 2020. I sure hope we get our Technodrome-recolor starbases by 2100 though :)
