Im guessinh its got electric dumps that open and shut....????
No it's a drag car. Open headers on all drag cars.
You should always prime with gas first methanol is a cold fuel
Yep! I know that now! 😁
Pour little gas in it. Methnal is hard to start could depending on timing. Little gas and hold go floor. It will start
Yep I know that now! 🤣
You need to talk to someone familiar with a methenol before you blow it up.
Yep! Already in the works! 😁
Merlin as in Merlin airplane engines?
🤣🤣🤣
I would say you have a 7 second car! & seconds in a 1/4 mile!
That's what I was told! 😁
Yeah that car don't way anything really and you have almost 1000hp wow really fast!
Does it have wheelie bars on it? If not your going to need them!!!
@@tonygrate623 no he said it doesn't need them. You can see in the videos of it running, that it doesn't lift very much. 👍😁
@@tonygrate623 ya id say 2600 maybe? Or less? 🤷
My name is will I look forward to hearing more about your sweet ❤️ motor I'm a Motorhead. I specialize in forced induction and nitrous oxide old school 🏫 who needs a computer when you going to do plug. I would do a vacuum reading at the base of the carburetor and depending on the vacuum reading put the proper power valve nothing like a real no guess work with that meth and oil in that motor out and burn holes in everything. Like I said I look forward do hearing more about the vega
Please subscribe to the channel. There's more to come, but right now I have other things to work on. 😁
The vacuum pump is four the rings
Huh? I thought it was for removing moisture from the crankcase because methanol absorbs moisture?
Your cosworth must of been worth a lot to trade for that
Not really? 🤷
I agree
Me too! 🤣
May have washed the cylinders down with all the raw fuel during starting attempts.
Yep that's why I removed the plugs and cleaned them & dried it out before I tried to start it. Just didn't know about the priming thing. 👍
Wow a vega lotta vega hotrods in the day
Hell yes and a badass Vega at that! 😁
Float problem or pressure
Yep. Carb is off getting rebuilt.
@@WagsAutomotive watch the pressure, try not to leave any ethanol in the carb, it pretty corrosive
@@ChrisMcCutcheon-wj2pp I removed it & drained it.
Come on harmless cat not going to hurt that car
Stupid cat! 🤬
Going to ware cam out you keep trying to start in cold weather no choke on race motor
But glad finally started sounds good drive safe
Yep I'm learning! 🤣
Gave up a nice car for a workout dragcar. And yes l own a nice street car .
I didn't give anything up. 😊 The engine in this car is worth what my Cosworth was worth. And it's a done deal so I'm going to just go with it! 😁
