Anyone who’s ever tried to talk to a cop or clerk at a court hose knows that this is EXACTLY how people are treated today !
Remember: It's cheaper to turn your entire country into a penal colony than it is to fix the problems plaguing it.
We're seeing it happen right now.
Which is why humanity is doomed. Greed is more valued than responsibility. Having lots of money is not a blessing, you have a responsibility to use it wisely. That doesn't mean buying yachts, that doesn't mean buying 50 million dollar penthouses in New York or Singapore, that doesn't mean being the most gluttonous pig on the planet, it means helping those around you. The funny thing is, billionaires and "philanthropists" couldn't care less about that, they donate to charities because they're tax write offs. How many "philanthropists" put forward the money to fund repairing bridges? Updating old roads with new technology and signs? Paying for expansions to libraries or building entirely new ones? There are things the wealthy could be doing all over to help increase everyone's quality of life with the money they've lapped up and saved, but instead they hide it in offshore bank accounts, they "invest" it in stocks, they do everything they can to keep from actually making people's lives better. Instead they focus on funding their next project to advertise to everyone, encouraging them to pay more for some new gadget, or app, or service that will end up simply making them even more wealthy.
@@bud389 I mean... no. There's nothing wrong with buying yachts and penthouses. Rich people have always existed and always will. Greed has always existed and always will. The problem is when the rich start to feel (and act) like an aristocracy and not just regular people with a lot of money.
The issue is that today we have an entire elite class which sets rules for the entire planet -- increasingly harsh rules -- and has no intention of following them themselves. They tell the middle class they have to give up their cars and stop eating meat, while they fly around in private jets and eat five-star meals. They tell us we have to 'lock down' in our small homes and give up our jobs while they sit comfortably in their mansions, totally insulated from the harsh reality of what they're forcing on people. They rig elections and own the media and brainwash people to turn against each other, while megacorporations censor our speech and drive our small businesses out of existence. They tell us we can't own guns or defend ourselves from rioters and looters, while they have private security forces to keep themselves safe.
I don't care if there are rich people. I don't care if there are greedy people. What I DO care about is the tyranny of the elite that we're now seeing develop right before our eyes. A class of new aristocrats that feel totally comfortable dictating morality and values to the rest of us. That's unacceptable.
Go ahead and make as much money as you want. Drive your Ferraris and live in your penthouses. But don't tell me or anyone else how to live, what to say, or what I can own.
@@Dr.TJ_Eckleburg No we should END rich people like Marx wanted to do.

This is the [Democrat/Republican] plan for America!!?!?!!!
Maybe not the best movie ever, but the message is right up there with Idiocracy.
Looking back on this years later, the social commentary is striking. The police are robots, yet they act as petty and violent as human police officers. The parole officer is automated, yet still manages to be callous and belittling. Technology has changed nothing about the way people like Max are treated. He's still a victim of police brutality and an indifferent bureaucracy. But the human element has been removed, the whole process automated, yet just as cruel as anything the downtrodden of today's society experience. It's as if to suggest that cruelty is the point. Knowing that some people will mock me for daring to suggest ex-criminals deserve any modicum of respect only reaffirms the point in my mind.

The clip should've been called "Stop Talking" LOL
This movie fails in which Matt Damon's character 'living there' all his life should have known better than to joke or try to be cute with the robots. He didn't just get there, he supposedly grew up there. Same thing with trying to reason with the second robot, he acts surprised and as if he did not know how these robots operate. This is part of why the movie was not a big hit like Jason Bourne.
