Hey everyone!!! I absolutely adore convenience stores in Japan - they're an amazing place to pick up cheap and super tasty food, so what better place for me to do a 24 hour vegan food challenge than at 7-Eleven in Tokyo! Yep, that's right, in todays video i'm only eating vegan food from Japanese 7-Eleven for 24 hours (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
With the 2020 Tokyo Olympics coming up, i'm sure that there will be a lot of new visitors to Japan with dietary requirements. I've got a Gluten Free video coming soon, and i'm open to other dietary suggestions as well!

I like your video but even if the nuts mix you eat didn't have any animal product in it, there were cajon nut in it and the process of those nuts is hurting poor women in India . For those nuts, the processus burn those women hands and lungs, so I don't think it can be consider as vegan

I feel like unless you allow vending machine restaurants (buy a ticket and hand to chef) there is very little in japan (atleast this is the care in Kyoto) vendies tend to be drinks and maybe soup in winter (normally corn, consume or red bean) 😊 interesting idea though 😊

I practically lived off those dark chocolate cereal bars the last time I was in Japan. The best chocolate bar I've ever had! I regret not bringing back a whole suitcase of them.

When I was in Japan for a 3 week trip last year I really struggled to find vegan meals so must have ate from 7Eleven for maybe 70% of my meals 😂 they were super delicious and cheap so ended up having more money to spend at Disney instead of food
Is there a possibility you could do a Japan travel tips? Starting from when you collect your bags how to get to your hotel, tips at the train station, helpful apps for phone, what to do for data/phone, etc... Planning on a trip to Japan post Olympics and bit nervous about the getting around part.

We used the Happy Cow app last time we went to Japan in October 2018, and we found HEAPS of options! Our group was a vegan, 2 vegetarians and an omni and we found options for all of us sometimes at the same restaurant. It was easy for us :) in kyoto, tokyo and osaka

I think there’s an entirely vegan 7-11 in Tokyo! I can’t remember where or the name but I’ve seen other you tubers cover it. There are also apps you can download that will scan the barcode of Japanese products and give you the ingredients list in English. Again, I don’t know the name of them but they exist!
I googled this (because I found it hard to believe as it would go out of business) and that's not accurate; there's no 'vegan" 7-11 but there are some 7-11 who are starting to carry vegan option with an English label sticker. Most likely due to the Olympics coming up.

you can pretty much rock into any cafe in Australia and be guaranteed bomb coffee. I for one can vouch for anywhere that uses Pablo & Rusty beans
As someone from Seattle, I can say with confidence that Seattle’s coffee is not that great :)

Dollskill doesn't have the best reputation anymore, it's kind of going downhill due to some controversy, so I'm not sure how likely it is for Alex to do a vid! But that is a decent idea. I just worry about potential backlash!

@@hopefreespirit6358 I'm not Kayla who you were replying too but Dollskill have come under fire in the last year or so for a number of things. They've been caught stealing artwork from independent artists before, and not just "oh it's coincidentally similar!", like blatant copies of artists' work, without crediting. They also had an incident with an influencer whose name escapes me rn where they were super eager to work with her until they found out she was in a wheelchair, at which point they completely withdrew their offer. They also ran a campaign titled "Goth is white" and sold Native American Halloween costumes so they're kinda racist. It's sad because they have so much cute stuff, including Current Mood shoes which I covet with my whole heart and can't find anywhere else (except Depop if I'm lucky). That said my go to alternative to them is a site called Attitude Clothing, who are UK based but ship internationally! I mostly go for the more punk/Gothy stuff but they have a whole tab for pastel stuff and another for kawaii stuff.
Edit: I had a look, the lady they cut off because she's disabled is called Katherine Church if anyone was wondering. Also discovered in this googling process that they also fired a model after finding out she'd previously been a sex worker and had a tee shirt that said "Dead Girls Can't Say No" which like... holy rape culture/necrophilia batman.

I wish face masks were common and more fashionable and normal here in America. One, it's cute (I have like a gothic street style so it would go well) two, if your sick you won't make others sick, and others can protect themselves too, 3 when it's cold it keeps your nose and face warm! Or if you don't want your lips chapped from wind, or maybe you have a pimple you wanna cover, I STAN FACE MASKS !
I use face masks. People give me weird looks? Yes. Do I give a damn? Nop. If you think is cute you should wear it 😉👍🏻

Hey! I definitely think you should wear face masks if you want to and if they make you feel comfortable and happy, that’s amazing! But just so you know not all face masks protect you from sickness or prevent other form getting sick from you. Surgical masks and respirator masks may, but fashionable cloth ones are not made for that purpose so they do not provide protection health wise. But are they adorable and do they keep your nose warm? Heck yeah!

A point on recycling in Japan (if anyone’s interested lol): In Japan the burning of plastics for fuel is considered recycling, which is partially why they have such a high level of recycling HOWEVER there is a Japanese scientist who has developed chemical recycling where plastics are broken down to their chemical elements so even dirty and sun damaged plastics can be recycled into new bottles etc! It’s really amazing and a great step forward for everyone!

I've lived as a vegan for a year in Japan. In Tokyo, there are sooo many options and it's getting better and better all over Japan.
