I think Charlie is singing abt taking off your mask.. she’s always seen looking happy but in reality we know things trouble her.. hence why in the pilot (I think I haven’t watched in a while) we’ve seen her demonic form.. a dark sinister and twisted smile with red eyes which probably indicates the demonic rage in her peeking out if she gets overly excited.

When I first saw Hazbin Hotel and I heard Charlie say "Everyone should have a chance for redemption" that resonated with me so much cuz I feel the same way and I created an OC based on helping Charlie redeem others.
