    Thanks for giving James a break, some guys take a while to get it through their heads, myself I'm like that, those guys can be a benefit too down the road because they see things in different ways that others may not.

    Very good craftmanship in a very tight area. I can see two different techniques between James and the boss (1kb instruction). The boss laid the brick with high efficiency, less or no mess, nice/clean finish. Good demonstration !!!!

      I’m glad someone has the respect for it. People hear bricklaying and just think lazy fat fucker just laying brick after brick making out like it’s easy and describe it as “mind numbing”. Sometimes when helping out the joiners I wonder if I chose the wrong trade😂

      The real heroes are the laborers for the bricklayers 🤨
      I had a bricklayer one time at the end of the day told me to clean his tools. Now keep in mind this guy was a Mexican and he usually only worked with Mexicans non-union labor and I'm a white dude union labor. I told him straight up I said that's not my fucking job I said you might get away with it with your scab laborers that you're used to having work for you but you can go clean your own f0cking tools. I got enough shit to fucking do . Next day he comes around bitching at me where's my mud. I said are you kidding me you have a labor on the scaffold with you handing you bricks striking your work and brushing your work. Get your own labor standing right next to you to get your mud. Needless to say this dude got fired within 2 weeks😂😂😂
      I don't know how this dude got in the bricklayers Union but he definitely didn't last long.
      Anyway nice work man a little acid wash and everything will be sweet.

      Bricklaying and Dry Stone Wall building are the two hardest jobs I’ve ever done.

    • @maxammo6282
      @maxammo6282 Před 6 měsíci

      Well I guess I'll reply again since my comment mysteriously disappeared. The real hero of bricklaying is the labor.
      This could be a horrible job depending on who you are working for that's for sure. Basically on the worst side of this the labor is setting up scaffolding mixing mud moving bricks back and forth. While most bricklayers sit there on the scaffolding waiting for their labors to hand something.
      Believe me I know I used to be one of these laborers. I actually had one bricklayer at the end of the day told me to clean his tools. I looked at this dude laughed my a$$ off and told him to f0cken clean your own f0cking shit you lazy f0cking reeeetard who can't even count to four.
      And a lot of these guys have their labors striking and brushing the work. That's the bricklayers job to do that part.
      Not all brick layers are like that though. You usually find these types of dudes in the Union of bricklayers and tuck pointers.
      It don't take but a day to get the skills going to throw mud down and set a brick. Anybody can be a bricklayer it's pretty much a very low skill demanding job.
      So yeah if you guys want to pray somebody for a good job praise the laborer. Cuz those are the guys that are getting the shit done. The bricklayer is just a mindless robot. How most of them can't even read a blueprint for new construction. Guess how many times I ran into that situation.

      @@thebigdezshow8971im a laborer and joining is piss easy, it sucks for us labourers who get used and abused while the bricklayers just lay and order us to do all the intensive Labor, go mix, push the barrow around the house dish mix out, mix again, dish it out, go join, stack bricks here, scrub the walls, mix, dish it out, grab this grab that, no not there over there are you dumb? A good effort by the lad and as the foreman on the job it’s your supportive attitude will help up his speed and confidence. The client is critical when he needs to speak to you on your lack of overseeing a new employee. Random interlock stone is a skill which needs to be laid with care . His trowel work is ok.

      Beautiful work. I can’t believe people spend all that money just to live right next to their neighbor. It must be so they’re close to their job, which if it’s in the city and pays well is probably something pointless. What an upside down world.

    That's not how to mud a brick, most of this work is not level or plumb, and your mortar looks like rubbish. Knock down and start again but let a real brick layer at it.
