Hands on Building Web API, gRPC Web, and Blazor WASM | Viswanatha Swamy | XMonkeys360

gRPC is a language-agnostic, high-performance Remote Procedure Call (RPC) framework. In this event, we will learn the basics of gRPC, its communication types, and its Interface Definition Language Protocol Buffers. We will be a small Hello world gRPC Server and Client and see the communication between the client and server. We will also develop another gRPC Server which will store that data into the SQL Server data store. We will create a client that will communicate with gRPC server to store the data into SQL Server.
Tech Stack: .Net Core 3.1, EF Core 3.1, SQL Server
Agenda:
1. Building Web API using Layers. Testing using Postman
2. Building gRPC using the resuable components.
3. Testing gRPC Service using Console App, Windows Forms, Web API, and Worker Service (.Net Core 3.1)
4. Adding gRPC Web capability into existing gRPC Service.
5. Creating Blazor WASM, retrieving content from Web API, and gRPC Web.
