8 Deluxe was so good the next one will really have to improve on it in some insane ways to top it
Actually this game is so good cuz it's so polished they got almost everything right unlike most games so it's gonna be hard for Nintendo to top it by creating a game. If they want a successor to this game they better put more effort to that game to beat this game

Double dash unique items coming back is one easy way. Tour did it so WHY NOT NINTENDO.
They can even give every character a “unique” item or variation of the same item to further increase diversity.
Mario Kart 10 will have to really upgrade a lot

And Super Mario Kart was the first with drift boosting, but it had one boost level and was hard to pull off. It charged like in Super Circuit, but with no animation, only a sound. Coins were in Super Circuit too.
It’s so refreshing to see someone rank SMK and Mksc lower than tour, because people somehow rank the game with 50x more content than the two lower???.

7 being so low is very sad. 7 introduced much to the series, such as kart customization, glider, water, and tricking being the drift button. kart customization is a but controversial but is very good concept imo.

7 is the game that introduced single lap tracks in multiple segments, that wasnt something from 8.
also, technically, super circuit has the first retro tracks, taking a handfull directly from the original super mario kart.
Mario Kart 7 was my childhood. I first got the game in 2015 and had lots offun with it. Mario Kart DS was very unique with the mission modes that had a chance to make a return in Mario Kart Wii but sadly, they didn't. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is extreamly fun expecially with the DLC tracks. Nintendo could have at least added New Battle Courses in the game.
8 Deluxe is so good, I hope that they don’t change the engine for the next game in the series. I love the way the game feels (I have spent around 100 hours in the game). I think that we just need new battle tracks and new race tracks for the next entry

The 1 Big Lap Formula does not come from Mario Kart 8 it comes from 7. Both Wii Sports Resort Tracks are 1 Big Lap and so is Rainbow Road

I'm glad Mario Kart Tour is considered mainline by Nintendo themselves because that game was nice for what it was and it introduces SO MANY new ideas they're gonna use for Mario Kart X.
uh... who says theyre gonna? did they announce anything for it? i dont remember miyamoto saying "the next mario kart will bring all of the ideas from mario kart tour" lol
@@larrygriffin4343 It doesn't need to said, ideas from previous Mario Kart games are carried over to the next game like Retro Tracks from DS, Mirror Mode from 64, Gliders from MK7.
Tour introduces Costumes, Reverse Tracks, new items like Super Bell, Bubble, Ice Flower, Events. You think they're not using any of that? 😭
well i geuss lists are fun. so heres one of the ones ive played.
1. 8 Deluxe. kinda obvious, its just the highest quality.
2. wii. ive played it an absolute TON, and its basically the only one i consistently feel comfortable racing in. it does bring out the sweat in me though...
3. DS. from the mission mode, the doing some excessive snaking in time trials, the fun character and kart roster, and the great maps, both in nitro and retro (sorry 8 deluxe, ds has the best rendition of sky garden). it'll always be worth returning to in my books. even if the retro tracks are kinda just pulled from the previous games with little added.
4. double dash. i struggled to get the hang of this one at first, coming from wii to this, but once i did, it was pretty fun. a little too chaotic for me though.
5. base 8. good game, its sadly just 8 deluxe but worse.
6. 7. has some great tracks (specifically its wuhu courses are goated), but it just really doesnt stand out anymore since 8s release, its character roster also felt weird, but not in the fun way like DS including rob.
7. super circuit. very fun, but more a novelty for me. its gameplay lacks clarity and the mini turbos from drifting are just really annoying to get, but its good fun. the tracks are great in this.
8. tour. cashgrab mobile game with weird controls, annoying character unlocks, and honestly bad maps, its one i uninstalled quickly and wont be returning to.
sadly never played 64 or the arcade ones. less sadly never played the original.
64 has always been my favorite version of Mario kart.

8 Deluxe is my favourite game because it has so many characters, courses and items etc, and I would love to see a new game.
I just started watching this video and I’m waiting for another cool bowser moment.
They gotta add wheelys in MK9, Double Dash option/ game mode, limited lives Baloon battle and randomized/ procedural maps ( if done correctly ) along with keeping ALL things from MK8 from get-go and expand. Sick of hearing " bloated " so what?? Its called OPTIONS and player agency. What if they cut all your favorite characters? Wouldnt be such a fan now huh? Nothing wrong with tons of options unless stealing too much disk space for other neat things. Also if every koopalings with Morton, Iggy, Wendy, Ludwig etc are in MK9. Its an assurance Nintendo have not ditched them for other mainline games due to Bowser Jr.

It is true though, mainly cos of the Nitro's, Battle Mode and Mission Mode, and Base 8 on the Wii U Has very little content, especially without dlc
True, i dont understand the hate against mk7 its a great game, and ds isnt that good, its just striped down double dash, everyone just has nostalgia over that game

For me mk wii is my favorite its THE game why younger me became a gamer i played a fiew wii games before mk wii but mk wii was my absolute favorite (The wii was my first console and first time playing games when i was like 6-9 years old)
I can't rank all the mario Karts since i havent played all of them, but my ranking is:
1. Mario kart 8 Deluxe
2. Mario kart wii (but tbh 1 and 2 are tied, i switch between which one i like to play more often)
3. Mario kart 8
4. Mario kart 7
5. Mario kart ds (i played the least of that, other than the ones i have never played at all. but it was fun from whatr i played)

First of all, coins were featured in Super Circuit.
Second, it feels wrong to group all 3 arcade games together. Sure, 2 was just an enhanced port of 1, but DX is an entirely different experience.
Third, while kind of unrelated to the video, I have a feeling Nintendo will do what they're doing with Mario Party right now, and just subtitle all their Mario Kart games going forward to ignore the debate surrounding Tour.

I got used to DS, 7, and 8.
But I recently tried the first one on SNES,. And Super Circuit.
I thought these two were straight up unplayable.

If were judging games by modern standards why is Mario kart 8 on Wii U so high? There is no reason to play that version today, it's worse in every regard to the Switch version.
