'aggressively ping laners off' is pretty much on constant rotation in my '3 things to work on' list XD
i lost yesterday a game where i got with my Yorick 6/6 grubs, but while i went topside for that bot lost hard and every time i was around botside they were dead. Sometimes it can be a bait objective that it's useless to get 6/6 if your bot loses
Grubs give a good amount of EXP, but not nearly as much as your video is showing. Because you loaded into practice tool and used the ptool buttons to level up to 4, the Grubs are the first camp you're killing - which means you're abnormally triggering the +150 first camp bonus EXP that normally procs on Blue/Red at the start of the game to get you to level 2.

Games are actually alot longer atm than last season so alot of challenger junglers are going for either first dragon or first grub into first dragon

Eagz is definitely the best, but remember there are things that will be happening in your games that you can’t account for every time. You may need to gank/countergank, dive bot, invade lvl 3, get invaded at lvl 1-3, etc all before the voids come up.
I still default to starting red most games because of this as a Belveth main regardless of what side I am on.

DUUUUUUDEEEEE!!!! a lot of guides did not really click a lot with me, like I would maybe pick up one thing every once in a while. Watched a lot of your videos and man I cannot believe the games I played. Initially your tempo video helped me a fuckton, then I kinda went down the rabbit whole to engrain them into my head. When I say crazy good knowledge I fucking mean it, like I was uncertain before and now backing times and being able to ping and track the jungler comes so easy. literally insane, started on red in two even matchups and literally, I kid you not once I invaded and kept pinging the enemy junglers location my teamates literally could not feed them because I was on top of it. 6 wins in a row and I feel confident as ever and honestly feel like I am smurfing in emerald LMAO, thanks a TON!

Good knowledge to have - Been playing like 20 games of jungle if not less now into season 14, and was vexed by how they get grubs most of the time - I just gotta get the timing down instead of doing a new full 4 clear camp of respawns mostly and account for fights that dragged out earlier

i don't like pathing upwards to play for grubs. you're not allowed to do anything except take scuttle and immediately reset. if anything happens, and then you play for bot camps, the grubs are already going to be taken. i like pathing down everygame, and then you can take 1 maybe 2 camps topside and then be on grubs

What I do is: clearing top to bot looking towards a gank in botlane, then recall, farm the top side and at 5:00 you are already close to the grubs anyway, and have that extra time for ganking
if grubs is warded, they just take your botside bro thats literally what hes saying

@@Eagzv9 If void grubs are so "op", and the enemy jungler goes from bot to top, and he decides to counterjungle your bot side, can't you just go to his top side? I am not so sure that he has time to do his top side AND cross the map all the way to your bot side. Even then, you have time to counterplay by ganking or going back to your own jungle and catch him right there trying to steal your stuff. If you ward your bot side of the map it is even more difficult for him to get away with it
@@GabrielCazorlaPersson1I 100% agree with you. I have had success doing top to bot. In reality, going bot to top likely makes you late to grubs and the gank bot lane you get when starting top usually helps them win lane. Even if we were to trade grubs for bot camps, isn't it still worth it cuz the stacks you get? Not to mention the rest of your reasoning where you get their top or other ganks off.
A video on what to do if team is trolling, never reacting and they're completely clueless and hopeless, would mean the world to me XD
if i think my top and mid wont have prio when voidgrubs spawn should i just start my clear in top instead to get drake?
im assuming you just read the map and matchups, yeah, that's just info he is not talking about because it isn't the point of the video (probably)

Ok, heres a question. If the first grub gives 150xp and the 2nd and 3rd 75xp each, are there cases where we kill only one and go back to standard clear? Also if I kill the first one and leave and then an enemy kills another one, do they get 150xp again or is it 75?

Clearing 1 and leaving is my go to strategy. It's fast and denies the enemy all 3
take as many as you can pre much, and pre sure you both get big XP for the first one you each kill

yeh this video was legit just made as a 'How to Grubs' video, so the pathing isn't optimal based on lanes...and yes I would not path top towards those champs because if a Grubs fight happens you never win anyway (play for lanes still 👍)

Small thing you can also do is ask your mid to get pushed in so you steal 1-2 minions worth of xp and get lv5 from 1st clear + krugs + raptors, been using this with udyr cause having lv3 ult lets you clear grubs in 16 second, best I did was 14s but not sure if it can be more optimized.

You can get exp from killing wards too
you get revealed and they can track you that way, but nobody will know that you leeched some xp mid unless they're actively tracking xp themselves @@Kyle-nm1kh

So Im manly an Evelynn player, and with all these lethality junglers running around, is there any counter play I can do or just afk farm to 6?
i mean if you run into them and stand still yeh it won't be fun but you just jungle bro, if there are no kills then farm camps

As an up 'n coming bel'veth main, I've found myself trying to put off grubs so that I can nab a super form when i get level six, but i'm usually stuck at 1-3 camps before 6 just as grubs come up, so I think like 75% of the time I'm trying to grab them before the enemy jg does and lose out on coral :(
The challenge of testing if the enemy jg is just gonna run the grubs down or hopefully clearing 1-3 camps for 6 so grubs can give coral is a toughie.
Same issue here as a belveth main, I'd just recommend forgetting about the coral on the first grubs spawn and aiming to get it on the second spawn or at drake if enemy jg didnt trade grubs for drake.
I think you can go topside, then botside, recall again topside into voidgrubs and it's the same result.
but you leave your bot side open, and if enemy jungle knows you started top and you’re on Grubs, they will take your bot camps
the difference is that if you start topside on your first clear, your botside camps will spawn while you take the grubs. Which allows the enemy to counter jungle you if they know you're on grubs - which puts you net neutral. If you start botside and reclear botside first after your first back, the enemy has nothing to counter jungle, because they can't invade you topside while you're right there doing the grubs.

What I've been doing is going from bot to top, scuttle crab(s), look for a gank going back towards bot, then clearing through towards top again up to grubs. You can get back when they spawn and the other jungler usually backs and does another full clear. Do this and you get to level 6 before 6 minutes.
You might get an early 1 lvl advantage on enemy jg but you give up priority for both objectives and become vulnerable to invades if you blindly do this because other jungler will have about 1200-1500 gold spent and you will be sitting on that amount of gold
yeh super risky because you’re doing this as just a jungle item jungler
dantes said exactly the opposite and many palyers agree on play for first drake and give first grubs so u can contest second grubs without giving second drake and from what i experienced i won more of the games where i focused on first drake rather than first grubs
in other words, give up Grubs so the enemy jungler is stronger for any fight in the future…it’s more nuanced in higher elos but generally speaking this pathing is goated
I'm pretty sure I saw some legit statistics that showed that taking or giving first drake still gives you 50% chance of winning a game. There's surely a small precentage change but it was so small it didn't affect the 50%. Feel free to present some evidence to show otherwise
First drake is trash unless your botlane gifts 2 kills with it
Why not start on top side, then after your first full clear; You go B and move to your respawining camps.
Doing that, you will be close to the grubs and can start ward before the enemy jg
because if you go to your bot camps and they do Grubs, you're just farming your camps and then dragon which isn't as worth

Interesting insight. I've heard other places say grubs are overrated and so I've been playing to at least take 2 so the enemy doesn't get the spawns around turrets, but I didn't think about xp. But should there be instances where you want to take drake instead? Aside from your layers being ahead and taking them in your place, an ocean drake as a first drake always seems really valuable, for instance. Or maybe the drake could help snowball for the rest of the team. Idk just some thoughts.
Do grubs, and then back and play for drag for the next 4 minutes. Should be around when your ref buff spawns as well. Taking Grubs and first drake is basically a win. Also, the exp from grubs is basically worth it alone.
Same exact thoughts. I'm probably going to do the opposite he said here, if only because it would mean 1) free bot crab 2) free bot dragon and 3) clears my top side jungle first so they can't invade after they take grubs.
@@Kyle-nm1kh More exp and gold from grubs if you do what he says in the video, you can still contest drag if you take grubs as well.
Taking grubs really depends on if mid or tip is winning or has prio. If possible, during or after your full clear, look for opportunities to apply lane pressure mid via transition ganks from bot to topside or mid or top gank after a first full clear to create the tempo/lane prio/advantage needed for grubs. Also tell bot to push and have support reset to help secure grubs.
If mid or top are both losing, but bot is even, just play for bot/drake. Grubs are ideal and should be prioritized over 1st drake, but only if you're ahead over enemy jg and you have mid or top prio.
And be sure to let ur teammates know to get prio before grub spawns.
@@savethebeez I can get exp and gold from anything on the map. I cannot get dragon buffs from anything on the map.
I like to start top, path down get a reset. Get the top two camps again, and then hit grubs, usually at 5 or just after depending on who I'm playing.
with your whole bot side up though
You have to remember that this is assuming the enemy jungler knows where you started and that you also dont know where he started. Cus if he wants to contest your botside then theres a chance his topside is open as well. The game is not fixed and set in stone when the clock hits 1:30, a lot of games you will find out where the enemy jungler started based on first crab as well. @@Eagzv9

Grubz buff is so insignificant, I always get 2 free drakes because them. So many champs just two hit towers anyways 😂 I just try to snipe 1 of each spawn camp to deny 6 stack grubs
Wait, when he gave the example path for red team at 4:36 , why would you walk past red to go Krugs and then go back to red? Am I missing something?
Next time your camps respawn raptors and krugs will respawn sequentially so you don’t have to wait as long
You want the 2 outer camps to spawn around the same time so you do raptors then krugs into red. If you do raptors red krugs, then the spawn timing of camps will be off and you'll be waiting for krugs to respawm

yep the boys have already answered it, but you want them to respawn together in case you can’t clear Grubs because mid/top are in base or super far behind with no prio, so you have to farm
It's specifically so your krugs timer immediately follows your chickens so that on your second clear you don't have to waste 10-20 seconds waiting for your krugs to respawn again
I feel like at 6:00 in the vid, there was no need to smite that crab it was basically already secured. Would've had enough time to do blue, smite it recall do your 2 camps bot and be on void grubs before the 5 min mark, correct me if I'm wrong though.
unless u wanna got ur scuttle crab stolen by enemy diana, u dont need to smite. its situational really

It depends on priority and item spikes, maybe you need a little gold before recalling, maybe not.

Its interesting about people saying grubs is more worth, yet riot said they made dragon more worth and want people to know grubs shouldn't be traded for dragon ( yet now it seems a lot of people think grubs are more important ) im curious to see as the season goes what does become more important long term

Parts of this video is very good, but having a fixed pathing based on some idea that grubs are op is flawed. The most important factor in being able to secure objectives is lane prio, in high elo you can tell in 75% of the games if your laners will have prio or not based on their matchup, you can also ask them to play for prio. But say you have a mid and toplane playing a matchup that they straight up cant get prio in, it makes no sense to path top and play for grubs, cus you shouldn't be able to contest them. Another thing that is very bad about pathing top in soloq is that toplane and midlane are infinitely harder to gank on most champions than they were in s13. Lastly grubs are not op always even if you have 5-6 stacks if you have midgame sidlaners that arent great sidelaners. Yes if you have trundle, yorick, fiora etc then they are turbo broken and can legit win you games. But if your toplaner isnt some champ that just perma sits sidelane in mid-late then they really dont have that much value.

How is void grubs better than an infernal drake?
more push=more money, one infernal drake is like...idk 7+ ad? maybe 10
His argument is that the exp is higher but it really depends on many factors. Maybe your team is more scaling, in which case dragon might be better. It also again depends on priority, weak side/strong side, team comp etc. People are still learning the new map so it's not 100%.
It's a siege buff that lasts all game. More early gold potential.
Grubs give you crazy XP and accelerate your level 6, amazing to snowball off
The siege power sucks. Don't you read the numbers when you attack towers? It's like +20 true damage after 10 attacks. Idk why it's not just the same buff from elixir of sorcery.
The only point of getting it is you have a team comp designed around split pushing and such like malzahar mid and urgot top.
Otherwise it's just exp and risks your life

It's not "nearly 200g" it's 3 times 20g plus some +1g for kills small ones Which doesn't happen often. Your biased by the +50g from your jungle stack. Your view of the gold is inflated by 150g, those gold you can get them from killing ANY jungle camp while having the stacks.

I've been jungling since season 3. I have loved the role all these years. This role is now the worst role in the game in terms of FUN. They have managed to turn every jungler into brain dead farmers and riot def wants junglers fighting npcs at least 75% of the time. Jungling in wild rift is actually funner than PC league it's kinda funny.
Disagree with that, dragon is for me much more important. Im trying to go for every single one asap and play around bot side. 70% wr says all.
