    Actually worked, in a way. Seems to make everything bigger. I was focusing on the messages and why some of them are so narrow and the type so small. Don't remember having to do this before with any new install.

      Yes, I was hoping to find a solution to only make the text in messages bigger. It is disproportionately small compared to the rest of the font sizes in thunderbird.

    HI Chris, thanks for this video on how to increase the type size, but I have an issue with just the "message header size" Is there something similar that will just alter the size of this type? Currently, it appears less than 6pt with the rest of the message being around 12pt. Any ideas, I've tried various extensions but they don't work?

    Chris, I took Thunderbird 91 to a whole new level. Now I have TB running perfectly: Identities, HTML Signatures, Templates. I even found an amazing theme to replace the system dark; It's called TB91 compliant - Monterail Full Dark is in the addons repository. This theme is perfect for users who need a real dark theme due to light sensitivity.

    Hi again, Chris. I took your advice in the belief that it would enlarge all the print on my general Thunderpage page BUT, sadly, it only enlarged the print on any email I open, not the general Tb page. Even worse, I increased the print size to 2.50 for that reason but now the "risk" page is so big that I can't get it to reduce this down to realistic levels e.g. 1.25. Please, please, please help me and I'll gladly pay for your help. I just want to enlarge the print on the general TB page so that it'll be the same size as the print on each email.

    • @cwtek1
      @cwtek1  Před 2 lety

      If that did not work (I am not sure why as it increased everything for me) then you could come out of Thunderbird and increase the size of Windows 10 in General, just right click on any free space desktop, left click Display Settings, scroll down to Scale and Layout and try increasing the percentage to see if that helps, and/or try different resolutions.

    When I click on the 3 lines I do not get options? Using Preferences could not see config editor. Any suggestions what it is now named?.
    I would also like to remove the lines that are added when replying. Some programs have this as an option one just has to turn off could Thunderbird not do the same?
    I also came in to see if there was a easy way to contact the programmers. One of the recent updates moved the location of where attachments show from the top right corner to the bottom of the email.

    Hello - this tutorial is very clear, thank you. I have an issue that you might already have a tutorial for. You may point me in the right direction. How does one sync the color coded tags across all devices.
    I use 6 different computers for my business and have mozilla thunderbird installed on all 6 (all in different locations) I have a tagging system set up with 9 different colored tags assigned. I want them to sync with each other across all devices- I know it is possible as I had an office aide who learned how to do it. There must be a kind of code I can use to make this sync work much like you show in the tutorial about making the text larger. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

      I have TB 91.7.0 and just tried sizes 1.25 and 1.50 and they seem to work ok on mine.

    Man, you the best. If you was a woman I would kiss you and take all your money haha. I been seaching through heaps of google search to fix this with all sorts of stupid long routes to fix, and finally I find one that works. Good job mate.
    Now I got another problem... the text here in the comment boxes are too small also... any ideas? The cons of growing old haha.

      I am glad this helped, if you are viewing the comments on a Windows PC then you can hold down the CTRL key and tap the + key to enlarge or hold down CTRL and - to reduce the size.

    Options is NOT available in 98.0.2 So - write about:config - in Win search box - config editor opens - in search box - write Layout.css.DevPixelsPerPx - You can only select - 1 default or 2 VERY large - When options was available selection 1.25 good size WAS available - Some dopey , thoughtless programmer did this !!!

      v98.0.2 is a beta release at the moment, hopefully they will fix this before they release it to the mainstream.
