Rich it's very effective. That's why they continued to send people to those games. They literally had tickets on the opposite side of Ohio Stadium on Saturday. You don't risk your career and reputation for something that isn't helping you. C'mon man!
They wouldn’t have him directly next to the DC during the games if this guy didn’t know what he was doing.
There is no way Harbaugh did not know this was going on. As head coach of the Michigan football program the buck stops with him. The head coach of any program knows what every assistant coach under him is doing, as well as the staff members and what there function with the program does. Sure this goes on in every program, but in the case of Michigan. They got caught and must suffer the consequences. Just as any other program would.
No doubt Ohio State is behind this 😂
I needed a good laugh......thank you.
There's been rumblings on their message boards for awhile that something was coming down on Michigan soon. No doubt Ryan Day, who has a history of whining about stolen signals (Clemson) is behind this so he has another built in excuse when his team gets run over by Michigan for the third straight year.
His own coach turned it in. Michigan does not want to pay him. U of M wants him gone. And I am no fan of ichigan.
Connor Stalions is on Michigan's payroll. How is Ohio State behind this?
@@Al-Rudigor They're not. The B1G Conference is pushing this... UM fans are just salty. This filth and dirt from being cheaters will never wash off.
Sounds like a bunch of they don’t know. I don’t think anything is going happen.
Most people do not understand the purpose of the rule against "off campus" scouting. The rule was enacted to keep a level playing field for all teams in a league whether it is the Big Ten, SEC or Pac 12. in the Big Ten only the big programs (OSU, Mich and possibly Penn st.) would be tempted to do "off campus" scouting. The Northwesterns, Purdues and Indianas of the Big Ten do not do "off campus" scouting. "Scouting" here is not just watching the game, rather it the hard work of "sign stealing": attending 6 or so OSU games, videotaping OSU's 3 different sign signalers, and use of UM computers to synthesize all the info. Is this what college football has become? The NCAA did not know about today's technology but they were wise when in the 1990s they adopted the rule against "off campus" scouting.
Look at michigan prior to these allegations. Come on man
FBI
Wishigan from crappy in 2020( scared to play OSU ), too looking like world beaters since 2021? You do the math R.E.
I’m sorry but considering how sxummy UM’s administration IS, they’d totally have been in on it, too.
If this is a conspiracy and nothing burger... eg elaborate and organized in-person scouting, multiple tickets per game to 30+ games (seats on both sides of the field), sheets with cartoon characters, an intern with headsets during the game... why would UM fire homeboy?
The ncaa wants to pick a fight with the best law school in the country 🤣
They may turn out great lawyers but they sure are sloppy cheaters.😄
Go Blue !
Dude was so desperate to beat OSU. Had to resort to cheating. What a joke.
Harbaugh and Tom Mars should sue the NCAA. This is ridiculous.
For what? Doing their job? He actually broke recruiting and Covid rules doof
FACTS hit Michigan fans in the face, and they still don't believe it. Wild LOL
sad Rich can’t just say if they did it they should be punished and leave it at that versus trying legitimize a couple of good years by discounting any impact. It’s against the rules to do on-site scouting and this appears to be a well financed and coordinated effort to break the rules. Period, next topic.
Rich is like any other Michigan alum/media guy. These people can't be unbiased. It's like they are brain washed to not hear, see or speak of any wrong doing from their beloved school. I still can't believe Dr. Anderson didn't get way more publicity. But Michigan people deflect and say well dead guys can't tell their side of the story so let's sweep it under the rug.
Dan Wetzel does not strike me as being very bright.
That’s because your a ohio state or sec fan.
Honestly, it's bizarre to me that scouting your opponent in college football is illegal. Why wouldn't you? All pro sports teams do it. Why is that even unethical?? Who cares who did it for whom?
Dan's a BOOB
So other teams are mad that UM has the best sign stealer out of everyone. That checks out.
This is a nothing burger … teams should be changing their signs weekly… plus college game plans aren’t that intricate to figure out. Ryan Day and Greg Schiano should focus on their own teams and job security
Yeah it's so ineffective that they sent people to every future opponent during their winning steak. Maybe they figured it's a nice vacation for the low level staffers.
Dan seems to assume that these allegations are true, does he know something I don’t?
@@appleaccounts2524 lol, source?
Dan didn't assume anything. Michigan is innocent, as well as Coach Harbaugh. You're reaching.
@@sdb1218 did you watch the video? He doesn’t discuss the possibility that the allegations don’t have any merit, just whether Harbaugh knew about everything.
@@Lakersdude7 did you?
@@sdb1218innocent? You really think that?
This is a conspiracy
This screams Ohio state
No, it literally screams Connor Stalions. An employee of the Michigan football program. Is Ohio State scouting and sending the info to Jim? Don't cheat, can't be reported.
Ryan Day is going to cry about the air pressure in JJ's footballs after he torches them again this year.
This is a whataboutism fest. Michigan is going down. Hard.
For something the NCAA considers to be a minor, level 3 infraction? 😂
@@paulmayer8654
Only in Michigan's mind. This is going to be a gift that keeps on giving as the scandal continues to grow every day. Funny watching Harbaugh claim he doesn't know the guy standing next to him on the sidelines at every game and has no idea why this mystery guy is talking to his oc and dc before every snap. This won't take long. Harbaugh has already lied (again) to the ncaa.
@@salembuckeye9030 no, not in Michigan fans’ minds. That’s what the NCAA considers it to be. The NCAA considers it to be so minor that they wanted to eliminate the rule because it’s pretty much useless in today’s technology age and that the minimal advantage provided isn’t worth the effort to try to enforce it. That’s not my opinion. That’s paraphrased from an NCAA statement 2 years ago about that rule.
@@paulmayer8654
Keep burying your head in the sand. The massive lying right now and the deep conspiracy is what will kill you. The cover up is always the death blow. Stay inside the Michigan bubble where it feels safe. It's going to get ugly.
Nevermind that teams change their signs every week. Michigan is a really really good team with or without stealing signs. The NCAA is very ridiculous should be the only real story line here.
Wow this being blown up way too much. You would've thought that Harbaugh killed someone. The weasel is so excited about this.
This entire thing is a joke. College football by nature is a fast-paced, dynamic game where opposing teams engage in a chess match to create plays, communicate them to the team, and then execute them with both finesse and power. Do I have to explain fast-paced? When a team signals in a play, that signal is a puzzle with a life span of a few seconds. From the time the signal begins until the ball is snapped, the opposing team has a 10-40-second window to figure out the puzzle, decide what to do about it, and then signal in a defensive alignment to counter the offensive play, then position or reposition the defense to meet the threat. Do you mean to convince anyone that a 21st Century college program can't create a sufficiently complex system to signal players and confuse the rival football coachs for 30 seconds? Are you kidding me? College Football is a billion-dollar industry, sitting on campuses filled with the best minds, facilities, and, technologies in the world. If these institutions can't devise a secure method for a coach to signal a play to his quarterback and not have to worry about it being decoded and countered in 30 seconds, then that coach should be fired immediately with cause for being a complete moron, and the school closed and boarded up. This is a waste of time, money, and effort for everyone with 2 brain cells left in their heads.
Yahoo sports and espn are blowing this story way out proportion ( kind of sleazy) baylor got into trouble for scouting in 2016 and got a 2 quarter suspension suspension
Great analysis by Dan. Bottom line is someone ratted on Michigan for doing this and the NCAA hates Harbaugh. Their objective is to drive him out of college and it will succeed.
He's not going anywhere. Don't be surprised if he still signs his extension by 10/28.
This is how it translates into wins and losses: Jim Harbaugh went 2-4 in 2020, capping a 47-22 run (.681) over six years. Since Pete Thamel reported the Michigan allegations began in 2021, Michigan has gone 33-3 (.917). Conference record has improved from 34-16 (.680) to 22-1 (.956). 🤔
nice analysis.... correlation versus causation, idiot
Lol this is a ridiculous comment lol look at the offensive line at Michigan from 2020 to 2021 that’s your advantage right there look at JJ last year compared to this year lol that’s the advantage. Your clearly a Ohio state or SEC fan and I can’t wait till we see you either In November or in the playoff because that will out to bed all of this lol Michigan didn’t know Michigan states signs last weekend and that was a close game wasn’t it. We’re going to kick your asses this year and it is going to be even better than the last two years.
@@jacejenkins8085 you act like Michigan state is world beaters lol. Iowa would beat them. A team with the history of never being able to win a big game doesn’t get that good overnight. What happens when Michigan can’t “scout” ahead of time? Oh ya. They give up 51 to a team that lost by 58 to Georgia
Don't forget they dominated OSU, who was a FG away from beating the national champ, but then gave up 51 points to TCU who no one thought would make the playoffs. The same TCU who lost by the largest margin in a natty game in history. That tells me UM had an edge with all B1G opponents but not an opponent they couldn't scout.
@copenhagencowboy5466 well jj McCarthy who was 18 years old on that stage, happened to throw not one but 2 pick sixes... so maybe just maybe that had a thing or two about 58 being scored... and then mich only lost by 6 points...
Sure, let's believe lil Jimmy is doing nothing illegal. Jimmy, who for 6 season was an utter FAIL for the Vulvarines, so much so that his salary was cut and weighted towards "incentives". Then, out of nowhere, he starts winning against KNOWN roadblock teams on his schedule, like Ohio State. However, somehow they keep getting hosed by teams in the playoffs, that they didn't know they would play? Jimmy soundly beat Ohio State last year, but loses to TCU...the worst team to ever make the CFP? TCU who got utterly destroyed by Georgia? Georgia, who escaped with a 1 point win in a game they trailed by 2 scores most of the game against...Ohio State???? Jimmy, who has been trying to get out of UM like he just robbed a bank? Why has he been trying so hard to find an NFL job when he has seemingly just started to win? Yeah, nothing to see here.
You let Donovan Edwards gash you for two 70+ yard runs and you want to blame sign stealing cause you can’t stop the run? Maybe Ohio State just sucks. Sorry lil bro.
Hahaha! The Vulvarines are 4-17 against the Buckeyes in the 21st century, so you are still the "Lil Bro". Actually, when the NCAA strips the last 2 wins from you, then you'll only be 2-17, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there. PS: a "vulva" is the female private body part. I always have to explain that to male Michigan fans. Blo Gue!@@7782estesm
You Buckeye fans are all over this story because you're desperate. Can't handle losing.
My thoughts exactly, getting skull dragged by Ohio State on a yearly basis. Team was a dumpster fire in 2020 and covid cancelled the Game. Then with virtually the same players beats the Buckeyes soundly in the Big House and then goes to the Shoe and beat the Buckeyes like they had been getting beat by them. Took down by TCU and then supposedly weak OSU loses to Georgia by a missed FG and then Georgia destroys TCU like they stole something. Bill Belichek won multiple super bowls when he discovered recording future opponents practices and stealing their signs and knew what teams were going to do before they did it. Anyone who has played football knows that is an advantage that obviously is against the rules. Already suspended for three games this current season and now this? He may just "retire" like Urban Meyer.
I think you’re forgetting that Michigan changed their entire offensive and defensive schemes but yeah it’s definitely because we knew the signs that get changed every fucking week regardless. Typical Ohio State fan operating at about 2% brain power
If there was an inclination that Michigan did this then I could totally see Harbaugh sending people prior to games JUST to make them think about it and then have to focus on switching up all their signs the week of playing Michigan. Checkers vs chess MFers!
Cheating vs not cheating mfers
For any of you viewers who are old enough to remember the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show, perhaps the NCAA thinks that Boris and Natasha are really Michigan's sophisticated spy operation. What a joke!
I heard Michigan paid the spies with cheeseburgers
