By promoting the food, they receive money from the food company. It is unknown how much they are being paid for each video, since they did not state that the video includes advertisement. By right, for the amount of payment they receive which becomes their income, they should be paying some tax. But by not stating the video is an advertisement, I think somehow they avoided paying the tax.

Some mukbang youtubers were doing mukbang and at the same time, advertising the food in the video, but they did not clearly state that the video includes advertisement of the food/product. Some people can buy sponsored food by watching the video but if when it is a sponsored food, they can feel bad toward the youtuber since they can think youtuber had pretended to be tasty because he was sponsored. Hiding sponsor makes people to feel disappointed and betrayed.
