I like to have what I think of as a smoke house. Just a 1x2-2x2 wooden structure with shelves where you can place the dry meat and fish onto the shelves, (7 per space on the shelf and 4-5 spaces on each shelf,) and thus, be able to stack a crap load of it for later. Heck, you could add a campfire to make it look like the place is filling up with smoke. Not necessary, but hey. Stocking up when there’s lots of deer and fish around is useful so you can go off exploring and not worry about it when you get back. Then just keep putting meat on the racks, then transferring it into the smoke house. Of course you’d have to lock it from the outside so no one but you can take the meat.

Snowberries & twin berries are used for poison arrows 😊 useful to grow if your defending base with starter or compound bow.

Question - You're playing on (I assume) the Xbox; I play on PC. On PC I can hold down Shift and place multiple structure templates quickly (e.g. Fish Traps)... is this (not) possible on console/xbox?
hi rob--both chris and i play on pc and we use xbox controllers instead of keyboard,and for us we just hold the left thumb control down to mimic the shift key
Have you noticed any lag when building large structures? Particularly when filling floors and walls quickly.
I'm currently having issues on a giant pyramid build. Wondering if it's too big for the server/game/rendering, etc

How are you able to carry more than 2 logs? Also how are you able to place those quarter logs non stop. I think we can only carry 3 of them right?

Thank you, I like to have the gaps in the wall so you could see through if there’s anyone creeping around plus I think it just looks a little bit more open than having a closed wall. we are able to carry more logs because we are using something called sheet or console commands which allow us to have infinite logs which is also built into the game. And the quarter logs are exactly the same reason. Thank you for your comment.

Yeah it’s the shift key but I’m using controller so it’s a bit hard to do that. Thank you for your comment

Yo, if you like building you might want to check No Man's Sky it has a pretty advanced building system also you can just find planets that you like and build them there and people can visit them etc by giving them the teleportation symbols, it might be more interesting that Forest's building system 😂

Yeah, I honestly haven’t looked into the building mechanics of no man’s sky. Might be worth having a look.

How do you instantly build
hi roel---to activate instant build u must 1st activate the console commands,by typing
cheatstick while ingame.then hit your f1 key,and type in instantbookbuild on.and it will activate if u have typed as shown
