I work security at the Paycom arena in Oklahoma city and I had the great pleasure of meeting and talking with Darci and her parents when she did a show here recently.
First and formost, Darci has an AMAZING voice , plus an incredible ventrilaquist as well.
But to me, what really impressed me was her genuine peronality and down-to-earth attitude.
Both Darci and her parent were delightful to talk to....just wish I could have spent more time with them.
A TRUE CLASS ACT AND FAMILY !!!
We love you Darci, Go whichever direction you please, it's your life. Please stay close to your puppets. Lots of people can sing, Lots of people can write songs, Very few people can bring the magic to ventrilloquism that you can. That makes you unique. Few people in the world have the talent you do. Your talents bring happiness to people. And that is a gift. God Bless
Well said, and echoes my thoughts. She's an excellent singer, but singers are, yeah whatever. Her ventriloquism is her uniqueness, especially when she includes the puppets.
Darci, If you read comments.. i think singing is the way to go. Seriously you don't need anyone else's approval to do whatever makes you happiest. I think you're an absolute sweetheart.

You're a good ventriloquist, singer, comedian, and actress. You can do all those art forms. And as a singer, you can play any style of music, and keep this diversity to avoid being put into a box.

I knew you were a great writer just from the dialogues you wrote for you and your puppets from your very first performance on AGT and every performance after. You always make my face and heart smile. I love how you pointed out how the AGT judges are always saying to up your game and to surprise them and you did just that on AGT Fantasy League. I thought that during your performance and was surprised by their reaction. Good for you for not letting anyone limit your talents.

Darci, I really enjoyed your ventriloquist acts, but you have a beautiful singing voice. I think you should listen to your heart and hone your singing voice and songwriting skills. Collaborating with different artists that you are a fan of is one way to do that. I also think you need to keep writing your own material. You are a beautiful young woman and you have many strengths, skills, talent and determination. You seem very well-grounded and you need to use the beliefs and values you were raised with and your family and friends as your anchor to reality. I believe you will continue to evolve and grow your talent and skills. I think you are on the path to stardom. Remember to stay true to yourself. Fame and fortune can be very alluring so surround yourself with the people who love you and know you well. Her puppets seem like real people to her. Maybe that's one of the reasons she's so good at it. She takes them seriously.

listened to your other vids n songs. Eda is heard, love the rifting, absolutely heard nora, cool yes on amy... think more on the fusion of it. maybe think on like blue by leeann r. but with a push - crazy piccolo rift, cello rift .. just throwing out some concept avenues to consider. you know the yodel growl history. let the imagination of a new personality find a way out. just pull more out of the gut felt instinct may try a belting push topped with a serine quiet... a few concept words maybe even read poet.. i can wait - loved the way you interviewed here and could see your excitement on the answers n the future oh for an extreme twist frank s. and carole king story telling ability is there to be brought out too

There's an old saying, "you have to dance with the one that brought you". Ventriloquism brought you to the dance, so don't turn your back on it.

Just look at Lennon and Maisy. A brilliant career made famous by a leading singing roll for 6 years on "Nashville" and they walked away from it. Lennon even stupidly stated she did not like country music. Now neither one of them can get a gig in a local bar. Even the Opry dropped them like a rock. In my opinion..... bad managerial advice, and not the first time that has happened. All your act needs is some money thrown at it. The talent is there.

Now she's entering a run-of-the-mill form of entertainment: Singing country music.

A lovely interview however maybe nerves contributed to her continually touching her face, neck, earrings, etc. It was distracting. I hope she will pursue her musical passion but as she commented, she is following her God given calling, so is on the right path. ❤

You're great Darci. Try to stop picking at yourself (during your interviews). The neck pick was a bit much in this interview.

Darci you're a beautifully maturing singer/vocalist, and you can always keep the puppets in your quiver. Live your dream.
All you promoted yourself on was VENTRILOQUISIM. IT SEEMS TO BE GOOD ENOUGH FOR OTHER PEOPLE TO DO AND YOU WANTED TO PROMOTE IT TO EVERYONE. HOW YOU'VE CHANGED. (Sorry it's in caps. I'm too tired to go back and change it)
