Follow Charlie, the princess of Hell, as she pursues her seemingly impossible goal of rehabilitating demons to peacefully reduce overpopulation in her kingdom. After a yearly extermination imposed by angels, She opens a hotel in hopes that patients will be "checking out" into Heaven.
While most of Hell mocks her goal, her devoted partner Vaggie, and their first test subject, adult film-star Angel Dust, stick by her side. When a powerful entity known as the "Radio Demon" reaches out to Charlie to assist in her endeavors, her crazy dream is given a chance to become a reality.
The HAZBIN HOTEL (PILOT) has been incredibly popular on CZcams as has ADDICT (Music Video) - HAZBIN HOTEL. It gave way to another Vivziepop animated series. Helluva Boss. It's my first time watching ADDICT (Music Video) - HAZBIN HOTEL and my first time watching Vivziepop.

Angel Dust is gay, not that that ever stopped shippers, but Cherri is just a friend. In a prequel style comic, Angel mentions he charges extra to sleep with women.

yeah they’re obviously pretty close, considering how he actually went out of his way to help her in the turf war and we also saw her sitting with him in the song when he seemed to be going through withdrawals. That’s best friend behavior for sure

Near the end of the video as they walk out of the club, you can see a neon sign that says "It was all a dream", theorizing that this is just angels imagination, dreaming of being free of Valentino, with cherri's help.
That makes a lot of sense!! Normally I’m better about catching the signs

The pimp in the beginning is Valentino. He currently owns Angel Dust, making him do whatever it takes to get his money. The whole reason Angel was out turning tricks DURING THE PURGE during the pilot is because Valentino caught Angel trying to do a job for that wasn't making another porno.
One thing that people don't point out is that the hotel is literally a safe space for Angel. Like, by Alastor being there, the hotel is practically his, being on 'his' property as he is one of the most powerful overlords in hell. Valentino is an overlord but more of a buissnes man, owning the adult industry in hell so if Angel were to escape, Alastor would dispose of Valentino as soon as he would make his way into the hotel, purely because he would be treppasing and not because he would care for Angel. There's ofc Charlie, but as we've seen, no one is really scared of her even if she's more powerful than Alastor
We don't know who the one-eyed character we see during Cherri's part is at this point, but we do know that the appearance of Sinners in Hell is directly influenced by their sins, as well as their lineage.
For instance, Angel's from a mob family...so we know he's got some relatives in hell, and they've all got spider traits.
Given this information, the mystery character is probably directly related, or someone she was very close to in life. He could be in Hell currently, or was killed during one of the exterminations, but it's not been stated by the creative team.
As for there being any shipping involved, Cherri and Angel are BFFs, but that's it. Angel has been directly described by Viv as a cis-gendered homosexual male, and we actually see this in both the pilot, as well as one of the official comics where Charlie and Vaggie offer Angel a spot in the hotel.
Briefly, he pissed off Valentino (the Overlord who we see assaulting, and controlling Angel in the video), by interfereing with a business deal when he was supposed to be at the filming studio. Valentino forces him to turn tricks on the street in order to make up for this, and he comments that since Angel was supposed to film a gang-bang, he's going to have a long night.
When a limo pulls up, he sees two women, and immediately backs off saying something along the lines of "For ladies, I charge extra!"
Oh, and the pig's name is Fat Nugget.

That guy at the begining is Valentino, aka Val. He's isn't like Stolas, he's a sinner demon, while Stolas is hellborn.
As such Val is stuck in the Pride ring. Val is a Overlord. Val is grouped with 2 others in the VVV asscoiation of three overlords. Each has their area of specialty: Vox overs television (apt as his head is a flat screen), Velvet covers social media and Val covers pornography ... thus his appearance here as it's his club and his connection to Angel Dust, who is a porn star.
Yes, drug overdose will come up when talking about Angel Dust as that is how he died: he OD'd on angel dust and went into a coma before dying. That's why he took that drug's name as his own name when he arrived in Hell.
honestly the bit i love about this is the song itself is actually perfectly fine for radio (except for swearing), the sexual assault and abuse are both in the images only

One problem with launching ships... Angel Dust is canonically The Big Gay. And there's no saying what Cherri Bomb is. I like to imagine she's an explosophiliac.
While true, Vivzie did give the fans full reign on making any pairings so long as they weren't genuinely problematic (both in the sense of the obvious like no pedo or bestiality, but also in the sense of the fans being civil with each other)
Yeah, i know some people like goin outside the cannon sexualities but i usually don't. I don't know though it seems like people only have a problem with it when the characters are cannon gay, like how many straight characters are shipped together without anyone saying anything but when its a gay character shipped in a straight relationship people are ready to correct.
While Angel is offically gay, fans don't care. Esp when in early drafts, Angel Dust was going to be paired with Vaggi. Vivzi changed Angel Dust to be gay later on, but before releasing the pilot, she still released art from the early drafts that had them paired.

Remember at the beginning of the pilot episode of Hazbin hotel we actually see this Valentino guy (well, not so much a guy as a demon moth and a pimp) on the phone? If you pause and zoom in you can see he's texting AngelDust demanding to know where his money is even though the 'cleanse' or whatever it's called just finished - re Angel getting out of the car with that guy. It's not that AngelDust really minds the work as a porn star or even an occasional hooker, but Valentino's abuse and demands for money is what makes AngelDust miserable - in fact in a short comic set before the pilot episode we see his old apartment and see a box full of sex toys that was labelled 'fun stuff' but that's been crossed out and now says 'work s***'. That's why Angel's in the hotel, gives him some protection from Valentino.
If only 7 people got the Homestar Runner reference, then we deserved 2020 and everything since.
Cherri Bomb, in this video; has been blowing up all the places where Angel Dust was emotionally damaged. A true best friend.
I’ll be honest. While I enjoyed the initial pilot alot I wasn’t sold in how good the show’s potential could be before this music video. It does such a good job of showing the depth that these characters can be explored further in. This made me LOVE the show and want it to succeed
I knew from the start that Angel's backstory (and Charlie, Vaggie, Alastor, etc) was going to be a really great thing to watch...
But this caught me very much by surprise by making Cherri Bomb into a really interesting character. I really, REALLY hope that we see more of her background!

When an Imp or other hellborn creature dies - It's over.
Both, sinners, hellborns and overlords can be killed with rare angelic weapons or directly by the hands of angels themselves.
So if you manage to die in hell - You just stop existing
If you'd like more awesome Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss music I would highly recommend checking out the original music of paranoid dj, his songs are incredible. They do lack the nice animation of addict but they are still so worth it for the songs themselves, plus they each still have a nice little story woven into them.

Gonna be a bit lengthy, so apologies in advance😅:
1. Nearly everything that Cherri blew up in the vid was Valentino's (Angel's Pimp) property. Most fans take it that this is what Angel owed Cherri a solid for.
2. Glad to not be the only one here who remembers Homestar Runner.
3. There are 2 official online prequel (at least the first one is, second is less clear) comics, the first being centered on Angel, and the second on Alastor. They might make for a good react, though even if you don't they are worth reading in general for the fleshing out. Fair warning, the Alastor one has been on hiatus for quit a while, with no clear update in sight, though I wonder if the show getting syndicated will prevent it from ever being completed given some of the other questionable standards A24 has imposed

You need to check this song named Valentino, it was made by one of Hazbin Hotel artists. Heart shape sunglasses demon who you saw in the mirror is called Valentino and he is Angel Dust's boss, Valentino is an Overlord as Alastor. You should check out the songs “Smile Like You Mean It” and “Use Me Up,” both by PARANOiD DJ. They are fan made songs about Alastor and Angel.
Also “Insane” by Black Gryph0n and Baasik, it’s a song about Alastor and is sung by his canonical singing voice.

The tall moth guy in the start of the video is valentino, he is cruel and he is angel dust's boss.. He is an abuser mostly to angel dust because unlike the other "ladies and mens" who works for valentino, angel dust still pushes valentino away which is good but that just makes him angrier and more violent. That's much I know of

It's just a major coincedence that you pause at the one moment where you can see the sexual abuse that Angel had to go through because of Valentino.
Cherri is bombing everything that Valentino owns because Val keeps hurting Angel and she wants to be an overlord to free Angel from Val. Its one of the few things I haven't seen anyone mention specifically yet.
But yo DJ Paranoid makes a tooooonn of Hazbin Hotel songs that are all bangers. I have a specific Helluva Hotel playlist because of them!
When i heard this song, my first thought was Ke$ha would totally do this song. So yeah, your casting Ariana Grande and Ed Sheeran for it sounds accurate, too.

Pigs name is Fat Nuggets. Proof that Charlie was right, there is a rainbow in some demons at least - Fat Nuggets is a demon pig but is loyal and affectionate with AngelDust, and brings AngelDust a lot of comfort. So glad the hotel allows pets.
The covers of Addict are really good too. I personally prefer Caleb Hyles' cover because it is more similar to my preferred music genre but the other covers are cool too.

Cherri Bomb`s an Aussie demon, that`s why one of her lyrics includes the word "mate". When the pilot was being recorded, Cherri was cast with an American voice actress and it was too late to edit it. This was rectified in the main series.

You should also check out "VALENTINO" Hazbin Hotel Fan Animatic by Raphielle II which is /insaaanely/ good quality, and I may be wrong, but I believe it was made by one of the storyboard artists on Viviziepop's team
I honestly don't get why radio doesn't allow a few curse words in songs because this song would definitely work for radio but it would be better if it allowed the few curse words in this song cause it also sounds derpy when they switch out swear words for more appropriate ones
I LOVE this song and the accompanying video, I think both were INCREDIBLY well done. I also love how much you're able to appreciate the details of both the video and the song, as I feel like many people who react to it get too caught up in one to the detriment of the other.

ParanoidDj does some cool songs too, covers (there is an awesome animation of the Valentino one) and originals too. My personally favourite is "Use me Up" followed by "Smile like you mean it".
This song has absolutely no business being this damn good. This is seriously well produced and is absolutely a banger. It deals with really dark themes yet manages to be and upbeat song. Completely fan made and got so popular Viv picked it up and animated it out. Silva Hound is extremely talented. The drops are as good as any out there in the EDM world. The build ups are phenomenal. Melody shifts, instrumentation, the whole thing. If it weren't about drugs/sex/etc this could get radio play.
And that verse after the credits hits HARD. It puts the whole thing into perspective. It's all him saying fuck it, this is who I am, I'll let my soul burn and breath it in. Then we get him in the hotel acknowledging that he knows how horrible it all is. That it's eating him up inside. That he wishes he could stop. That he's being raped. That he wants out. God it hits hard with that half a second flash of Val behind him in the mirror. Changes everything. All animated to largely just light piano offsetting the horror.

Angel is my favorite character for so many reasons, and this music video only expands on those reasons.

Angel's not partying per se, I don't think. He's working, definitely. No choice. (Val's fuchsia Hell-cigarettes are very likely how he keeps his workers controlled--also notice Angel stubbing his out while he sings about life being maybe less terrible for a change.)

Also, I think this video does a really good job of portraying that a lot of Angel's self-destructive behavior is a trauma response. He's a junkie because he's self-medicating against all of the trauma in his past (we don't know exactly what his Earthly like was like, but we do know he was mafia) and the trauma he continues to suffer on a regular basis.
The "Stolas" guy is Valentino. We see him briefly in the Hazbin pilot and a little more of him in the Angel-centric comic on the website. He's Angel's pimp and he's definitely going to be a character we all love to hate.

The guy at the start is an overload of hell. So technically on level with Alaster. Stolas is a step up from that. Then you have the sins above that. Finally you have Charlie then Lilith and lucifer on top

My ace a** didn't realize what was going on in 11:45 for the longest time. I thought he was just standing creepily behind him. Until I watched another person's reaction to this and they said what was going on and I had to go be sad for him for 10 mins.

I absolutely love the way Silva Hound uses silences in this song.
There's another thing to notice during Angel's dance, too-there are three extremely rude gestures that he directs at Valentino that go by very quickly. 1. A literal Shakespearean "bite my thumb at thee," which is still very insulting in parts of Italy right now, 2:26- 2:28; a...um...m*sterb*tory crotch gesture (after which you can see Val's smile disappear *very* abruptly), 2:33, and a "kiss my @" gesture at 2:35. (The dancer who choreographed this has a video where goes through these in detail, in a much less speedy way!)
There was a Twitter user, an exotic dancer, who posted about this video and how parts of it were disturbingly true to life: That pimps like Val would entice dancers with drugs and promises, that it was very unsafe to be the last one in the venue or to get into a car with a "Val," risking assault and kidnap, and that it was important for dancers to look out for each other, and not be alone.
At the beginning of this video it is very likely that Angel does not yet belong to Valentino, or honestly he would not have had the guts to act this way. On the catwalk, we can see Angel's brief flashes forward into a future where he's unfortunately past being able to escape Val-Cherri can comfort him, but in the end she can't save him, as her blowing up Val's venues proves to be "only a dream."

I think the message (and this only my opinion) is that people we see as wicked are that way because they are a victim of something.
