    Cool job

  • @Dancing_Alone_wRentals

    That was cool.
(I like the sound of the parts being placed on the table. I was wondering whether I'm hearing the same knock each time. Very enjoyable edits). tHanks

I have a variable speed model. My one complaint so far is the base’s lack of rigidity. I can move the head up and down a total of .010” without a lot of effort. I think I’ll make an improvement with shims and maybe something like a couple machinists jacks in strategic locations underneath the unit and bolting to a rigid stand with at least the 4 factory holes (i might add a couple locations).
If that doesn’t work, i might give epoxy granite a try. Do us a favor and measure your current setups flex at the base of the column. I’m curious to see if you have comparable movement.

@@jaceksuchon4717 i didnt see in the video, but did you end up bolting it down at the 4 factory locations?

@@jaceksuchon4717 i’m in the process of mounting an electric hoist above the machine with unistrut. Hopefully that will help with adding and shimming supports under the base.
