You can do the same thing using knitting needles that you already have. Wish I had of known this years ago....spent money on the coiling gizmo which is better than this twist n curl...by the looks of things. If only I had of know about the knitting needles would have saved my self money. I now use the knitting needles to make my own jump rings in any size I want.
I think the concept is cool but I think coiling gizmo would be quicker and the fact that the new one comes with a clamp attached to the bottom is a real advantage not to mention if you look around and find metal rod that will fit thru the holes on gizmo that is real long rod you can make long coils! I have and I love it tremendously....

A friend of mine does the same thing with the wrapped coil but when she sent me some (when I asked if she could make a few for me) there was no extra piece in it (the one that looks like a bar) that you wrapped it around
