- Dragonball Z Burst limit. One of my favorite dragonball games of all time didnt just die.... it was murdered. and by that I mean this game clearly had more planned. Today we are going to dive into the early saiyan saga and begin our journey with goku and friends as we see what this game left behind.

This games story mode is really cool because instead of forcing you to lose they let you play as the person who wins
Or those games when you play as the character, just to lose in a cutscene. Burst Limit does this very well.

It was also the first DBZ game where Goku called himself "Son Goku" before DBKai in that fight. The speech during the Frieza fight in the game was really good. Again, before DBZ Kai.

27:41 Doto's quiet "oh my God..." immediately into a louder, dramatic "OH MY GOD!" Sent my sides into orbit. That had me CRYING with laughter! I could actually FEEL how DONE Doto was with having that happen to him.
As soon as I saw the title I was like “Is this about Burst Limit”? I love this game. Me and my friends used to play it all the time.
Fun fact, Vegeta actually did a move that looked a LOT like Final Flash against Recoome in the anime! I always thought it was an Easter egg, cuz Vegeta didn't name the attack yet, it was just a part of his epic crash out at the time.

I always thought the way the camera was used during combat to make it look faster was always a nice touch. They really should've been left time to finish this game. I'm glad nowadays with Sparking Zero they're giving devs lots of time to make the game

This was the best first time SSJ Goku in the video games
Honestly, I like the weightiness of attacks. I like the animations and the pacing? I'm not technical enough to know what exactly I enjoy about it, but I find this very pleasing to look at, despite the disappointment of it not living up to its potential
Burst limit was actually really fun. I had a blast playing this game and thought a lot of the mechanics were unique and cool. I still hope for a burst limit 2 where they complete the story.

I was SO excited for this game as a kid. It might've been the first game I've ever been excited for without knowing nothing lol
It was years ago I, as a kid, found a DB video in yt and in full japanese that looked like a game, didnt know what it was but the song was so sick, the animations were so sick, I couldnt believe the graphics were that good (I actually knew nothing about current gen games at the time, but it still impressed me). Some time after I discovered it was Burst Limit's promo videos before the game came out. For me as a kid that trailer was one of my favorite videos on yt back then lmao

I hate censorship, I really do, so whenever something is censored, I like to think of a way to explain why. So for example, the reason you dont see the holes on Radits and Goku is because energy attacks go through them like how a ghost goes through walls, but still does damage
Anybody remember "Shin Budokai" on the PSP? This game's combat system was based specifically on those games. I had some good memories with this game (and Shin Budokai), not gonna lie.

Burst Limit is by far one of the greatest DBZ games. Always bring this up when talking about the Legendary Budokai 3 as well

I loved this game while in Middle School, but I had completed it and gotten bored. One day, I met another kid who liked DB, and he had Dragon Ball Raging Blast 2. I, as a lover of New Dragon Ball games asked if he wanted to trade games. He agreed, and after 2 weeks I had completed it. After the 2 weeks, he asked to trade back, I agreed. The next day, I gave him his game back, but he said he didn't have mine and he sold it. He transferred schools next week.

I know it'll be super out of the norm; but Legacy of Goku series when? The first one was the hardest and I never beat it myself, but 2 and 3 OH MAN what amazing games!!!! My personal favorite DBZ games of all time.
Plus the DS game Attack of the Saiyans has Yamcha beating Broly I mean... Come on Doto I'm shocked that isn't your main video on the channel!

Ah I remember playing that game as a kid. Bought it, got really excited, took it to a friend, put on a all nighter, finished the story and never played it again.

This is that one DBZ game that deserved a sequel and I was mad that it never did because I thought the Shin Budokai gameplay on console was the peak of the Dimps era formula then, and some tweaks could have been made to fix up Burst Limit, like a less intrusive HUD and a button to skip drama piece animations but it never got one that they clearly planned for. Now Dimps just makes Xenoverse, which is just... eh, another arena fighter like Tenkaichi... and FighterZ is a 2D BlazBlue type game, and not a 3D non-Arena fighter game like Budokai, Tekken, Soul Calibur.
Whoever modeled Raditz hair deserves a huge raise, those physics are crazy

I was expecting this to a Breakers video. But I agree, Burst Limit was fun. I remember beating the story mode in 2 and half hours.

Burst limit was my introduction to dragon ball games and also introduced me to the Android and cell sagas
I only just recently played through Burst Limit for the first time in January as I had picked up a used PS3, and never being able to find a copy when I was younger.
Hironobu Kageyama's Progression has been on my playlists for years and experiencing the game for the first time, I was not disappointed.
It does lack in some areas but honestly this game feels like a Spirit Successor to the original Budokai.
It even addressed a complaint I've heard about the Bonus characters in Budokai, by having Bardock and Broly available.
Also this is the only game where you can recreate moments like when Piccolo saved Gohan, but swap the characters for hilarious results like Saibaman saving Yamcha.
This game's style and presentation is dope! It even has the old music that wasnt in the HD versions
