I think scratch perry means that bob want to be famous (god) and the cocaine thing is like a synonym for that bob marley get out of control because he grows bigger.

An artist/musician affiliated with deceased Joseph Hill of Culture, told me that Joseph Hill told him that Bob Marley took cocaine.
