- Created an 11 minute dataset of Vessel's vocals and trained my own model for this. Might add to the dataset and see how much better I can get it without studio quality multi tracks. Current model is at 500 epochs. --

Damn, what a tease. Sounds great. I'd probably save the "dream I die" scream for the second chorus and keep Vessel in the higher register aferwards to make it that much more impactful, but it may easily make it sound weird or plain bad. It's really beautiful how the occasional scream breaks the tension and helps the motif grow further. Great job!
Yeah I'd play with it more if I could but with the layers of Courtney's vocals often blending with the instruments, it makes for a pretty rough vocal separation at certain parts so I usually have to just do whatever sounds the least shitty at times.
What I do is run it through the AI at normal pitch, and then another one at +12 or -12 octaves depending on source song, and then when I get to a part that sounds shitty on one, I try the other, and if both sound bad, I just use the better one. Basically I just hop between 2 versions according to what ones works best for the part of the song.
Love the shift into a scream in the "Dream I die" line. Hoping we get a lot more vocals along those lines in their next album! :D
I've listened to this probably 10 times now and honestly can't get enough of it, I also took it one step further and played this and the original at the same time and was not prepared for how well both of their voices marry together.

I've tried a lot of stuff but I don't post a lot of them. Usually when I try stuff like that, the issue is that the cadence, accent, or just general tone of the vocal is so far from the ai model you're using that it just doesn't work. I only really post the ones that come out well but maybe I'll revisit that idea for ya

Haha, I'm glad you dig it. The only problem is certain songs have tons of vocal layers, and on top of that, the layers are mixed in a way that they blend with the instruments. Trying to convert those vocal tracks to an AI voice model gets really glitchy. You'll hear it happen at a couple points in this song. That being said, I'll definitely do a few more with songs that work!
