Poor sons, didn’t know what to think. The father was evil and Evie maybe so ignorant with the ways of the world and never thought bad of anybody.
Please get rid of the so called experts, they tell us what we already know.
Why would they ask children what they thought of their parents' divorcing..it's an adult problrem, they just put a pressure on them.Children will almost always prefer their parents staying together anyway, then feel guilty after something bad happens. On the other hand, if they had divorced when they first talked about, Evie may not have had those ten "extra" years.
He had cancer how able was he to manouver all that.
