  • Here is a video to show you how to set the T1® ToneMatch Presets, zEQ, and ParaEQ. You may not hear the differences in sound that I'm discussing in the recording, but follow along on your T1® and you'll be able to hear them in your environment.

    Thanks for the tips. I never realized you could use the Tuner to zero in on the exact frequency and now have a better idea how to use the Para EQ.

    T1 has very good features and amazing sound quality. Actually I use it with my L1M2 and to record podcasts and music to my computer too. Could be nice to have a T1 with more channels also with a couple of Bluetooth inputs.

    Do these T1 units still hold up today? Good life span/durability? (or is there a better option for the $..? ie $300/used) How do you connect/power this if you're not using it with the Bose PA? I read somewhere you need a special adapter / cable to power this thing from regular outlet.. Thanks

    It is my understanding that the delay should be in relation to the beats per minute of any song. Similarly for reverb. So is there a mapping available to determine what % of reverb of Delay relates to beats per minute setting? Please advise. I am using L1/T1.

    Can you tell me why there are no presets for sennheiser mics I have a 935 mic. I understand you can’t have presets for all Mic’s but sennheiser is a big name in the industry with Shure and Ev. Are you going to ad more mic presets.

    BosePro: After watching this video I started playing with the Tuner & ParaEQ to try to remove any feedback from my mic. Today I used the Tuner and discovered that my feedback tone was (I think) A#2. I went, just as you taught, to the ParaEQ and dialed freq to A#2 and turned the level down to -5.0, and the hum disappeared. But…and here’s my question…when I turned the Freq dial to other notes/frequencies…they were all -5.0. So, why does turning down the level on one freq affect them all? You said it was to adjust a specific freq, like a surgical blade. Am I doing something wrong? Is my T1 defective…? Thanks….

      I have the same problem, please tell me if you figured out

    • @pvmantra
      @pvmantra Před 2 lety

      No, it is still surgical blade like... If you chose A#2 and width of 1 Octave say, then your surgical blade is 1 octave wide centered at A#2 and reducing/increasing by the dB you set. If you make it 0.1Octave, then your blade is very sharp and only affects A#2 +/- 0.05oct
      Now, if you changed that A#2 to say F 2 - then you are doing such EQ at F, instead of A#2.

      @@pvmantra so the Para eq on the T1 is only able to surgically fix one issue and one issue only within the entire frequency bandwidth?

    • @pvmantra
      @pvmantra Před rokem

      @@altoidtinsurvival925 You can make the knife sharp or blunt - i.e. you can notch down (or notch up) a given width centered around a given frequency.

      I am shocked and dismayed at how little the manual's information is. I bought my BOSE about a month ago. I got the 8 channel mixer. I thought that the book was fairly large, but after only a few pages, it suddenly started all over in another foreign language! I HATE that!

    How many ParaEq frequencies can you modify on one channel? May you modify several frequencies and it keeps the ones fixed in the memory or is it just for one specifical frequency only? Thanks

    • @BoseProfessional
      @BoseProfessional  Před 6 lety +2

      Thanks for the question. On the Bose T1 ToneMatch audio engine (in the video) you have one Parametric EQ per channel. On the Bose T4S and T8S ToneMatch mixers, you have three Parametric EQ bands per channel.

    If the Para EQ level is set at 0db does that pretty much just turn it off?

    • @pvmantra
      @pvmantra Před 2 lety

      No, 0dB means it is not changing it at all.
      +3dB is sound power doubles
      -3dB is sound power halves

    Thanks for your informative videos. I have a Bose L1Compact with a Tonematch mixer, a Fender Princeton Chorus DSP amp, an SM57 mic and an MXL R80 Ribbon mic. I play a Fender strat with pedals (electric blues) and sing at a small venue, using my iPod loaded with backing tracks. I've been told to either mic up the amp directly with the MXL or ditch the amp and get an amp modeler instead (Line 6 Spider or Fender Mustang). Any ideas on a setup to get the best sound (comments welcome)?

    I had a few questions before I bought my L1 2 and T1. Is there a way to remote control the volume? The tech guy at Bose said yes there is a way. I ordered two of them spending serious cash to find out that there isn't any way to remote control anything. Unbelievable oversite and I'm really pissed about it. With multiple instruments, I can't sit in the audience and even adjust the master volume, what a pisser.

    • @pvmantra

      True but the beauty of the Tonematch range though is so much works out of the box. The presets for different vocal mics and instruments are awesome. The preamps are pretty sweet too. Sure if you have a very experienced tech with a good ear doing the mixing they can often get similar results but most people using the L1 & T1 combination are performers not sound techs.

    • @pvmantra
      @pvmantra Před 2 lety

      T1 is awesome, you can do a lot with it. The Only limitation is the number of channels.
      T4S and T8S are even better, but much costlier.
      To me, L1 Compact + T1 just does wonders. If I need more than 4 channels, then I take out my MR18
