- Thank you everyone in the last video for commenting nathan fielder breaking character momments! I used all of them and read everyone's comments. I'm so glad all you liked my video :) đ
"Wait, a ghost choked you in Switzerland?" has to be one of the most out-of-pocket things I've ever heard him say/write. The undisputed winner is "It's days like this I curse the Chinese for inventing gunpowder."
The ghost realtor episode of Nathan for You made me laugh as hard as any other show ever
When he presents her with the painting at the end
The Switzerland ghost story never fails, the way she just says "well when I was chocked" as if he knew what the heck she was talking about :''')
"chocked"
@@EyeOfThePhi đ
i think he's in character for most of these, he just breaks into a giggle but it's in line with what's going on. i will say that he seems to not play a character in finding frances. he interacts with bill in a very down to earth way and also with maci. i think it's the closest you could get to seeing him be "normal" and candid
Finding Frances was basically a rehearsal of The Rehearsal. He was very much deep in character.
A ghost choked you in Switzerland? That episode was comedy GOLD
The fact that the guys heavy breathing can be heard throughout the whole conversation makes it so much funnier
I thought at first she didn't believe in ghosts because she seemed shocked that 50% of people believed in ghosts only for her to talk about being choked in Switzerland lol
i forgot about "here i go, diggin in again" how are the dumbest things so funny in that show
Most of these arenât him breaking character theyâre just him laughing as his character. A few are though like the Switzerland ghost
nah thats in character the hotdog one and the romance scene smile were real.
@@recroomproductions3547 he said in an AMA that was a time he broke character, itâs not clear from this clip but he was like so dumbfounded he kinda chuckled in disbelief
@@scavengertag i still think the average viewer wouldn't think hes breaking character he acts confused a lot for comedy. I didn't see the chuckle but if Nathan said so i guess.
@@scavengertag i still view it as him in character both him and his awkward persona would react that way.
The heavy breathing
I remember accidentally hearing him be the real him on the Bill Simmons podcast and I was positively shocked that footage of that existed. Kind of broke my brain a little bit, because like everyone else, I had been so innately curious what he was like in real life, but once I had it, it was like the Ark of the Covenant.
Would you mind sharing the link pls? ATY
@@simplyher he was actually on that podcast three times!

Please, do you have any links? I really want to see that! Thank you
This was so much fun to watch. I think I'm now realizing that all those laughs in Nathan for You is what really made me a big fan of his work. There's this deep authenticity to everything he does, even when he's trying to parody it
not every one of them needs to be laughing...there's a moment near the end of finding frances when they are at her place, outside, in their car and Bill isn't going to go in and Nathan is encouraging him to go that feels just very natural and like a genuine moment of encouragement
alternative title: nathan fielder smiling
here i go, diggin in again...
You can't find much because he is an absolute legend and master of his craft. I wonder what he'll be like when he is 60 to 80 years old.
This is an insane comment
Yeah, but insane like a foxâŠâŠright? Or like bad insane? Because that would be bad for me, if I was just going around making insane comments and having no knowledge of it
what@@piemuggs
Exactly Doopo, exactly
Oh my God!!! I didn't know there's already part 2!keep it up. Loving this so much
2:14 is definitely part of the character
Iâm so glad you used the tent prank I always thought that was the most obvious break
Your first video got me to watch all of NFY and the rehearsal, I thank you
As a jewish person it seems like the only time he sorta breaks character, at least in The Rehearsal is when he can't stand the antisemitic comments and he makes it part of the show but you can tell it bugs him. Because people say a lot of stuff and he remains unbothered. Both with these two men and the Angela's satanist extreme christian antisemitism. He pushes back and it seems legitimate
I literally say "A Ghost choked you in Switzerland?" in my head once a week lol
hahahahahaha
I always need this in my life. Bless you, coffeebean.
I never realized Nathan Fielder was someoneâs scrunkly but after watching these videos I get it
What the actual fuck is a scrunkly?
@@autokrator_ âA skrunkly is something you love, hold dear, or otherwise enjoy greatly that is kinda- funky looking.â Itâs original meaning means something you think is cute and a little ugly or weird looking, but a lot of people just say it to mean something or someone that they like. Thatâs how I meant it as.
@@unicorncurry317 Fascinating. I'm going to decorate the walls of my bedroom with my brains on Jan 8th, 2023.
@@autokrator_ soo did you do it?
this comment and the replies are why i love youtube
Theyâve gotta interview Nathan on the Eric Andre Show
These make me so happy lol
He's been on the Comedy Bang Bang podcast a lot as himself.
Iâd give him top like a Hoover
these make me so happy
The episode where he marries the taxi driver without his knowledge by having it entirely done in Mandarin at a Chinese restaurant hes trying not to smile hard
SSKKD THANK YOU FOR INCLUDING THE HOT DOG ONE that I commented last time đđđ
How can you not f'ing love this dude?
HE IS SO PRETTY D,:
thank you for using my suggestion
1:59
Heer I gow digit inagainâŠ
Watched that on repeat and laughed every time!
wow so its really neat to know the head of the cbc is such a fan of my show
here I go diggin in again
That very last clip made me think of the comedy class in the curse Lmao
Where is the last scene from? I love love this compilation, love Nathan Fielder
Nathan for president!
Best part of this video is the note at the end.
Baldwin trying to be tough makes me laugh lol
nathan
He did a podcast with Bill Simmons where heâs real the whole time.
Would you mind sharing the link?
there was also an A24 podcast episode with him and Alexa Demie where he's his real self the whole time
@@simplyher czcams.com/video/FjuntnfIm9c/video.html

I think he also broke character when he showed his show on his laptop to that escort girl. it's in the last episode of the show, on 46th minute. And also the dance on 52th minute
"Here I go -- digging in again"
yessuh bruh bruh got right back to work preciated
1:37 Hailey Baldwinâs dad⊠charming
For those of you in this comment section unaware, his character is supposed to be deadpan. He is breaking character by laughing or even smiling. Its the antithesis of the deadpan style. If you love Nathan as I do, it's a pleasure to see a glimpse of the real him enjoying what he does. Thanks for the compilation.
The last one is actually him pretending to break character
Shocked that the grandsonâs pee scene from Nathan4you wasnât on here. Seemed like the most authentic reaction of the entire series.
It's in part 1
You forgot the scene when the one guy tried to knock the smoothie samples out of his hands.
A god
Aw come on, you really think that "AWWW, YOU GOT ME" at 2:38 was him breaking character?
glad you added the rehearsal jew reaction
1:26 what episode is George the war veteran from?
The ghost thing is staged, that's why it's so funny. No character break, just a great awkward moment as clearly she mentioned it before.
I think the first one is the only one heâs not in character đ
He could play Hannibal
So glad you found the Halafax Laughing Club clip. I was gonna suggest it, but "you got me."
A ghost choked you in Switzerland?!? I died
Heâs in character in like all of these these are mostly all from one of his shows
can someone please tell me what the show is where it appears he has a live audience?
are you talking about the first clip? its from the writers guild awards
@@coffeebean. no babe there are several clips throughout your part one and two where a live audience is clapping and laughing in the background, not at an awards show. one example is when nathan is interviewing another dude and he says, âhave you seen my interviews?â and the guy goes âyes of courseâ and nathan says âname oneâ and an audience is laughing as this is going on, itâs definitely a show but not one that iâve seen.
Itâs from âThis hour has 22 minutesâ a Canadian comedy show Nathan worked at before Nathan for you
Anyone knows where the 2:06 and beyond clips are from? : )
đ„đ„đ„đ„
1:25 WHAT episode was this from?
there is one missing, the one when he was talking to two brothers who used to share the same girl in bed. I think (dont remember pretty well) he broke when the brothers started yelling outside, in the middle of the night
How do you know if heâs âbreaking characterâ. Is he not allowed to smile as Nathan the character?
Dude why he kinda⊠0:46
I wanna know the context of this!
@@dorianlajoie9423 Iâm saying heâs kinda fine
@@dorianlajoie9423 czcams.com/video/fXNRtg5RLos/video.html
@@dorianlajoie9423 he was interviewing the TV executive or smt. And the TV executive was talking about how great Nathan's show was but it was very vague. So Nathan asked him to tell him what his favourite episode was. And the tv exec gave a very vague answer again. And that's when Nathan realised that the tv exec was just bullshitting Nathan. And hence the natural smile that Nathan has at the time.
He's very
if he let us see these clips, he was in character
nahhhhh in the situations outside of nathan for u / the rehearsal he was not in a position of power / influence to choose what goes on screen. the nathan for u and rehearsal stuff was produced by him so he def had creative control and allowed us to see these short instances of him breaking character, but theyre so quick that most would not notice. his attention to detail is almost psychopath level but he clearly is fine with us seeing him break character for a couple frames.
@@kg7219 itâs like Gilbert Gottfried. Heâs always in character. No matter where he goes, heâs that character. Itâs in his whole contract. If you bring him to YOUR project, heâs gonna be his character. You donât bring someone like that on if youâre gonna ask them to do something else
His best break is during the gas rebate episode when he's talking to the owner about drinking children's urine...

What happened in Switzerland?đ
Personally? I DID enjoy the compilation
who is this guy. i recognize him vaguely but like if some one asked me i would say pete buttigieg?
what is the video at 2:19 I canât find ittt đđđ
It's from Nathan for you, the gas station episode
1:36 did he say I'm gonna try a jab?
inaccurate title
THAT GIRL AT 2:10 IS FUCKING GORGEOUS!! WHO IS!!?
Most of these werenât breaks.
0:09 Imagine what had to be going through that woman's mind when she went to the tattoo parlor and asked for the non sensical, ugly tattoos be put on her arm.
Just make one single video. Y break it into parts
The 2nd part were suggestions I forgot in the last video or I didn't know about.
Autism isn't a persona/character fam
What?
@@coffeebean. Nathan is clearly on the autism spectrum lmao, that's the entire appeal of Nathan For You and the Rehearsal. The Rehearsal is basically an autistic person's fantasy of engaging with reality
it is if you aren't autistic fam
nathan is not autistic, fam. heâs literally a comedian/artist/genius
these vids are harmless, but i can't help but think back to when people thought daxflame was "faking"
1:50 That may be the most insecure man I've ever seen
The realtor having a ghost encounter is the first time I remembered him breaking
