WOW. All four of the guys really show off on this song. The guitar is chunky as hell and the bass is BIG! Tha drums are Bonham style while the vocals are...well hell, it's Freddie!!!
Queen is classic music that's why you see people still from his time and kids not even born when Freddie was alive Queen will always be a band people listen to love these guys
@@Anonymous-ss1ks This is far higher then that, there is an E6 note. The waaaaaa part at the end. It is the highest note on a Queen studio album. Freddie has sung higher live.
ThE ReBeL! the generation is irrelevant. Time is irrelevant. I'd like to get to live 200 more years and see that music from bands like Queen is still listened to and enjoyed, as classical music is now.
This song is so.....undescribable, this is something u crank up on a nice and easy summer day. It makes me want to remninsce but I don't know why.....BEAUTIFUL!
I've been listening to Queen songs for the past hour or so and my coffee has gone stone cold and I completely forgot to do my coursework which is already late as it is, perfect. Once again Queen is the excuse I'm going to have to give to my lecturers, hopefully they'll understand
Brian May you are a pure genus. You wrote this kicker. "It's late." We love you Brian, and the rest of Queen . Freddy may he rest in Internal Bliss forever. Peace, Rog
Freddie Mercury = The best frontman ever Brian May = A vastly underrated guitarist; his primary guitar is homemade and he has amazing guitar solos Roger Taylor = A vastly underrated drummer; just listen to "I'm in Love with My Car" John Deacon = Also vastly underrated as a bassist; he wrote some of Queen's biggest hits, such as "Another One Bites the Dust" and "You're My Best Friend"
This really is the only band that one could mention in the same breath with The Beatles and not be spouting musical blasphemy. Is it just my sickly pride? Love the duel out of phase guitars at the onset.
+J Sandells can i lol to your comment Freddy Murcury is amazing like i said We had the King of RNR Elvis and Freddy the Queen of R N R but truly King in his day in the age of his days
He is out of this world The gift of rythm lyric vibrations is mesmerising. He is telling All people the most important strory to ever be told .Watch and listen to the words in all his songs see if you can find the truth he is singing to us all.
The first Queen album is really great- it does not get enough (as in, nearly any) love, even on classic rock stations. I think that I heard "Keep Yourself Alive" on the radio once and was just happy thinking someone might hear it and get exposed to their early stuff.
You don't hear this on the radio do ya? What a shame it's such a great song!! They will never go out of style. I'ts got great lyrics, rhythm and I read lower down it is Brian the rocket ship builder who wrote the words?
No, this one's definitely one you don't hear on the radio. Oh wait, I did hear it tonight! Raymonde, you're not listening to the right radio. Shameless plug here for TheSoundLA dot com where you'll hear quite a few deeper cuts. Not consistently, but some really great ones pop up on occasion, causing pleasant surprise. Best thing is, you can stream the station on your computer. Love this song and was so happy to hear it on air tonight.
great queen song..but never hear it on the radio...our classic rock station here in Philly plays queen all the time, but plays the same 3 songs...they claim to have the largest play list, but they kill you with the top 3-4 songs of the same artists
probably great about Queen is that they liked classical music, especially Freddie Mercury :) and even if they did not major music, all of them had a decent musical upbringing and learning their instruments from early ages... to me personally Queen compete only with those old prog bands who had classical upbringing:)
Please get your facts right darling.. as much as I love them.. Freddie lived in Zanzibar through his childhood, he moved to the U.K when he was about 17, he met Brian and Roger later on. They all studied different subjects. Brian and Roger were part of a band called Smile, it was the "pre-queen" but it didn't work out, they met Freddie and that's how magic was made.
I love this song. One of my favorite Queens songs and also played in one of my favorite movies: Observe & Report. Ahh, Queen. What happened to today's music?
Brian is using that technique that he heard from another guitar player while Queen was on tour that makes a kind of yoddling sound. He mentioned that in an interview and it sounds really different and distinctive in the guitar section. Its the only time he tried this in a Queen song. Great song.
Great song!. I think is about a couple. But they arent in love anymore. And, in a figurative way, in the beginning of the song, fredie is playing the role of a woman. And then, he plays the point of view, of the man/ Is just a situation in the life of anyone. //Well, is just the picture i get after listening the song. LOVED IT.
@Korvinski um... Brain majored in astronomy, John majored in i believe engineering, Roger was studying to be a dentist, and Freddie went to an art college. But you're right about them being to only college graduates. That IS amazing!
good GOD that was so f-ing good.....May wrote these lyrics....Freddie made them his own though. Damn they worked together so well together. When everything stops and that guitar hits that groove again....the stucato POP of it...nice....I think I explained that OK for a non-musician....I have been aroung them all my life though Thsi music lives on...it ages well....like a fine wine
@Korvinski Sorry for my extremely late response. Thank you!!!!! That is so sweet! And you are absolutely right Queen is one of the greatest rock bnds in history, DEFINITELY my number one. I'm a little obsessed. My top ten as of now would have to include ELO, the Beatles, Van Halen, Boston, and Journey (just like you:P). Truth is that good, honest talent is so hard to find "these days" although I am not old enough to say I know what the 80's was like but man, do I wish I did know!!!
Man it's dope, u now rocking the gods, so sad man, miss u bad, for rest of the band please come back together and rock us to nirvana. This is pure bliss, I am in Eutopia.
It’s Late is a masterpiece. Thanks Brian May, for writing this absolutely brilliant song!
GOT DAMN IT ROGER TAYLOR KILLED THAT DRUM SET!!!!!!!!!!!
you couldn't be more right! one of the best of all time and I feel he is always skipped over because he didn't lose an arm or die of a drug overdose!
They all killed EVERYTHING...EVERY TIME!
taylor padilla and the Brian's guitar?
One of my favourite Queen songs. I like how the song doesn't want to end.
One of the best, most underrated songs of all time. My personal favorite song of all time as well
+KillerWalrus12 Agreed. Out of all the amazing Queen songs this is also my favorite.
+KillerWalrus12 Shouldn't be a deep cut for sure
It's definitely up there.
I agree wholeheartedly. If I was forced to pick one favorite this would be it
WOW. All four of the guys really show off on this song. The guitar is chunky as hell and the bass is BIG! Tha drums are Bonham style while the vocals are...well hell, it's Freddie!!!
RICK KLINGER
Funny you say Bonham style
Rogers inspiration is John Bonham
And I’m gonna be a drummer
My inspiration is Roger
amazing song, so powerful and moving. Freddie's performance here is outstanding
NEWS OF THE WORLD-one of the all-time greatest achievements in music
And one hell of an album cover & inside jacket, one of the best if not the best looking album!
i was blessed to see these cats 4X , best show, best band, ever.
Queen is classic music that's why you see people still from his time and kids not even born when Freddie was alive Queen will always be a band people listen to

I grew up listening to Queen; wish I'd been able to attend a concert. It's Late is my all-time favorite Queen song!
Great Song!!! Greatest band Ever!!!
The person that disliked this song is mad, this song is amazing.
This is totally one of my favorite Queen songs!
My all time favorite Brian May song ;)
Brian May the astrophysicist ( ;
One of the greatest Queen songs ever.
That's Freddie's voice - the highest note he reached on any studio album.
Oscar Johansson Also the show must go on
Also One year of love, he reached F#5

The wonderful letter from Brian May, and Freddie Mercury's interpretation does I love this song.
Good job catching every nuance of Freddies soul.
Absolutely amazing song!
BEST GUITAR SOLO EVER!
One of my favourite Queen songs, amazingly never a single in the UK.
I've been listening to Queen songs for the past hour or so and my coffee has gone stone cold and I completely forgot to do my coursework which is already late as it is, perfect. Once again Queen is the excuse I'm going to have to give to my lecturers, hopefully they'll understand
