Possibly My Favorite Bridge Camera | Super Zoom Lens and Fast f/2.8
My Panny Boy bridge camera has been an amazing tool for travel and model shooting over the years. I have used it until it has started to wear out. It helped me to establish two CZcams channels and now is being retired. An amazing small sensor 1/2.3" 12MP 4K machine.
Just got a good deal on this camera for 150$. Been testing it for a few days, both pictures, video in 4k with external mic. Fantastic camera adnit covers all ranges with the zoom that i could possibly want. I know this camera is catered towards wildlife photography but i use it for street, architecture and Portrait.
I paid $170 with battery and charger no other accessories
I started capturing my adventures and this has been so great! No complaints!! Very durable and great features for “beginners” and beyond
I got a nice FZ1000 for $200. It's in perfect condition. I also got a brand spanking new FZ80 for $200. The FZ80 is for birding. The FZ1000 is for everything else.
Just bought one open box for 367 :). Cant wait to use it

I have just bought of these as want more control, and this give you that and adequate for 40cm2 image.
And the BIG thing with this camera is a not too long lens, which is very controllable with the even bigger plus. Is the f2.8 through the whole zoom range 👍
Hi Scott! Graham Houghton posted a video regarding zoom lever and mode selection dial problems with the FZ300/330 cameras and offers a quick fix that may work in some cases. This may prove of use to you or to whomever you've passed the camera on to. Graham is a bit of a "techie", but do persevere with watching the video - the potential solutions are quite simple and I hope they may be of use to you. Regards from usually not-so-sunny England.
Sony A7Siii, FX3, ZV-E1are all 12.1 MP still. So in that regards, comparable. Even the FX6 is 12.9MP total and just 10.2 effective.

Some smartphones are getting bigger now. The first 1" phone sensors are out now. The DJI Action 4 is quite a bit bigger. And there is a RUMOR that the new GoPro 12 is going to be 1".
@@cameracafebyscott But a smartphone with a 1" sensor is going to be more than a dedicated camera with a 1" sensor. Sure, one more thing to carry around. But, if I loose a cheaper camera, or it gets stolen, I won't be out as much money. I do use my smartphone in emergencies.
any tips using this camera ?
I am just getting into taking nature pics animals and landscapes. I was looking for a decent camera with a long range zoom. I picked this up on amazon for around 450. And it seems great i think i would like more megapixles. But from what i hear 12 is decent? I still have 30 days to return. If there is anouther camera that is better at the 500 doller price range please let me know? Because i cant seem to find one.
Thank you for this concise and informative video. I have this in my cart in an online shop, and true the price is why I haven't purchased it yet. I am nervous though to purchase electronic products used. Which newer camera do you recommend with these features at this price point.
Sorry for the late response. Honestly I've not found anything that truly competes with this at the price point, which is presumably why Panasonic has kept this as their offering in this space without replacing it yet. If I was looking for a P&S super zoom with small sensor today, I'd honestly still get the FZ300 I think. It rocks. At least in this price range. Or spend a lot more on a Nikon or Sony.
Actually $450 is reasonable for a 4K video camera. That is about half what a similar spec'd camcorder costs and there is nothing new from Panasonic that is better in that price range.
Did you have any issues with TSA bringing the FZ-300?
No, TSA rarely gives you a problem with cameras. They might ask to look at it, but nothing more. I travel with a LOT more than an FZ-300 all over the world and never have issues.

Is there a difference between the DMC-FZ300 vs FZ-300? Im seeing videos and google searches list both. Are they the same or there are 2 different models.
No. Actually its full name is Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ300.
It's the same camera. People refer to it both ways commonly.

Yes, it is. Olympus and Panasonic are the two M43 makers.
One thing is certain; there is no perfect bridge camera. for shooting video FZ300 suffers from very slow autofocus even in the best setting, resulting in nearly unusable in fast or sudden scenes/objects. pictures are very good but 12 megapixel result in too small square for todays standards. Also the top zoom lever is defective from factory, probably due to bad quality parts.
How come this camera does not have a port so you can quickly download to your computer??????????????????
It does have a USB port, not to mention you can just remove the SD card and insert into computer.
