The RX2 RS belonged to my dad. Bought it from Dwayne Calitz. Still have a picture of it when hr sold it in 1979 as a roadcar. It was smashed by the new owner.

Awesome footage, great post. Trying to remember the cars and drivers - I think we see Geoff Mortimer in the Chev, Arnold Chatz's modified Alfa, Nico Bianco in the Group 1 Alfa, Billy Maloney in the modified Escort, to name a few.

Yes NG the little 1400 Datsun took some time to finish but the big V8 cars etc never finished. That little Datsun ran like clockwork.

For amateur footage it is simply stunning, some oke who should be watching soaps gave this a dislike ! what a chop !
