Just wanted to clarify that these games are based on how we perceived the teams going into the game. For example, even though Baylor ended up being better than Iowa State in 2021, we did not know that was the case when the two teams played. Also, I did not take the betting favorite into too much consideration. Utah was favored over Oregon, but I think it would be ridiculous to not include that game in a biggest upsets video as Utah was ranked way lower and they knocked third ranked Oregon out of the playoff race. I apologize if you disagree with the way I chose what games were included. That being said, I’m not perfect so let me know if there’s any games you think I should have included that were left out!

Texas's own recruits filming and mocking the Longhorns while Kansas celebrated in their stadium was amazing.
There loss to the hogs was worse.

Western Michigan beating Pitt was one of the most surprising looking back at it

The Jacksonville State beating Florida State upset is honestly funny because the record showed J. State as 0-2 and FSU as 1-1. Should of been the other way around.

Seeing my North Texas Mean Green go from 1-6 to 6-6 and beating an undefeated team was pretty great, if only we could have gotten the bowl win. Our team was just one dimensional offensively, and we desperately need a good QB!

North Texas Mean Green The Alma Mater of Mean Joe Greene of the 1970s Pittsburgh Steelers Steel Curtain fame. As a Steelers fan since 1972 I thank you North Texas State for producing Mean Joe Greene. Fun fact Joe Greene was Steelers Head Coach Chuck Nolls first draft pick in 1969 to begin building the dynasty that he put together there in Pittsburgh in the 1970s. 4 Super Bowls in 6 years 2 times back to back.

As a Purdue fan getting to witness two top 5 upsets this year was amazing and I got to storm the field for the first time ever after the Michigan State win

@@bradenstewart6270 The rest of college football is losing parity with the big SEC teams. They recruit better due to proximity and lower academic requirements. As they win more championships, the recruiting continues to get better.
I'm glad you included UAB's upset win over BYU in the Independence Bowl. I don't think anyone outside of Birmingham, AL, picked the Blazers to upset a highly-favored Cougars team, but for a program that was terminated just a few years ago, I think they earned a bit more respect after that win.
BYU didn't show up with any passion, as soon as they lose a game or two they're an automatic bid for that bowl. Would've been sad if UAB didn't win

Man this season was the second craziest season right behind 2007 but the craziest I’ve ever witnessed with upsets left and right once Nc state beat Clemson it all started from there

I think the future's bright for Kansas.
The entire Big 12 was rooting for Kansas that day. KU has been getting closer and closer to beating the Longhorns these past few years and you were very loved that week. But as a TCU fan, we didn't love you so much the next week. ;) The second best thing from that game was Kansas fans shouting "SEC!" afterwords.

Thanks for putting this together. It is fun to be able to relive the college football season for a little bit like this. The way this season was with teams going up and down some of these in the end maybe werent upsets but like I said it is fun to be able to watch this video
My favorite part about these types of videos is seeing teams on both sides. That’s what makes college football so awesome. If you can do it to someone, that means someone can do it to you

Coming from a dawgs fan, here are the moments of CFB that made me think, “I forgot that actually happened!”:
Iowa was ranked #2 in the nation at one point.
Purdue continues to be that one team you don’t wanna play.
We all knew Clemson was gonna be trash.
Oregon fans were the most heartbroken out of any fanbase after going from #3 team in the country, to being upset twice, and losing their bowl game.

I was really expecting the Mississippi State vs Auburn game to be here too, but the fact that we had two upsets appear in this video showed how crazy a year we had.

11/27/21 was a great day for Michigan football, being apart of the crowd rushing the field, the snowfall and just seeing the replay of the end of "The Game " is so awesome.
This last season has got to be one of if not the craziest seasons since 2007. If Kansas had been able to pull off the upset of Oklahoma as well it would've been the craziest for sure.
The N.C State was one of my favorites this season such a good game and such a great throw and catch to win the game. Love watching the underdogs win.

I was at that Virginia Tech/ West Virginia game, never should have game down to 4th and goal, but... the loudest that stadium got was on the 4th and goal stand. Gives me chills thinking about it!! Plus it was the day Western Michigan beat pITT, all around GREAT day to be a Mountaineer!!

As a Clemson fan, that loss to NC State was tough, but with the way the team had played up to that point, I had already accepted the fact that it was going to be a rebuilding year. Still, the Wolfpack proved how good they were as the season progressed, especially in their season finale against the Tar Heels, so they earned my respect as a college football fan.
This season has been insane:
MSU (Mississippi) beaten about 5 ranked teams
Oregon beating Ohio State
Michigan finally beating Ohio state
NC state beaten Clemson finally
Kentucky football was 10-3 this season which was mind blowing
Texas A&M beat Bama
Georgia finally won their national championship
Arkansas is finally back in the football talk leading the season with 9-4
Texas and OU announce they will be going to SEC
Bowling green beating Minnesota
Pittsburgh won ACC conference championship
Ole miss being 10-3 which feels like forever since they were ranked and good.
Utah vs Ohio state was a battle of the year
San Diego was actually good stopping at 12-2
UTSA was fucking awesome at being undefeated majority of the season
Cincinnati being first non-power 5 conference team making it to the playoffs while being 12-0. Ranked #4 first time in school history.
Wake forest was fucking amazing this season being 4th time of the season that was unexpected 11-3.

Montana beating Washington
UC Davis beating Tulsa
Michigan State was scary this season finishing up as 11-2.
Purdue slaughtering ranked teams.
Western Kentucky breaking passing records with its QB.
Jacksonville beating Florida state

Nebraska went 3-9 while scoring more points than they allowed. I dont think that's ever happened before.

This isn’t true. In 2009 Cincinnati was ranked #3 in the country….
Now they should’ve been ranked #6, behind the two G5 teams in TCU and Boise State. It’s not even close - the G5 teams beat the Pac10 and ACC Champs in OOC. But they were in the Big East which was considered a Power Conference at the time, so they were ranked ahead.
2021 was definitely a wild year for College Football. It's definitely up there with 2007.
14:54 This was particularly hilarious because, as it turns out, this would be Stanford's last win of the season, against the then-3rd ranked Oregon Ducks. Both of their other victories were road wins, over Vandy and USC.

It seemed like there were a lot more upsets this past year than normal. It was also kind of funny seeing so many teams who won in an upset later losing in their own upset lol
Crazy season
I had to come back and revisit the 2021 season, cause it was sooooo wild & fun. I'm really surprised Texas at Arkansas didn't make this video; especially the way the Razorbacks dominated that game. No one would've thought that the Hogs were gonna do that in Week 2 against a Top 15 team, after all they had been through the 4 years prior.
As a UC Davis fan I found our season quite amazing especially the win over Tulsa :)

That North Texas RB pulled off some nice Barry Sanders moves to avoid getting tackled in the backfield and ends up getting a touchdown. That was some sick moves, not gonna lie.
You should have included Southern Miss' win over Louisiana Tech. USM beat them 35-19, this is an upset mainly because USM did not even have a QB. They used running backs the whole game. Pretty much was every play was in the wildcat formation. The Head coach called it the super back. They did run it just about every play, but did manage to throw a few passes here and there.

I know a lot of people disagree but an FCS team (not named North Dakota State) beating a Power 5 team should always be considered an upset in my opinion.

One upset that was very nearly had was actually in the FCS. Incarnate Word was one solid _inch_ away from taking down #1 Sam Houston State on the road in a 49-42 offensive airshow. It would've been their biggest win in program history, I believe.

Crazy looking back, a lot of these teams didn’t deserve those rankings even before the losses. Florida at 10, Iowa at 2 to name a couple. Those are laughable.
That UK vs. Florida game was so insanely tense. UK held them in the red zone for like 12 drives

Anyone who looked at Iowa knew they had some major offensive problems. How they managed to upset Penn St is beyond me. The only reason they made it to the top 5 is due to a weak schedule and a bunch of higher teams being knocked out. I was surprised they stayed unbeaten for so long.

2021 was such a year for college football.
Bowling Green over Minnesota biggest upset of 21. BG was 30 point underdogs and beat a team that nearly knocked off ohio state in week one and denied Wisconsin big ten title game appearance in regular season finale.
6:27 Oh, that was best moment for BYU. I am still surprised about how they finally broke the Utes' winning streak in the Holy War!

I'm a college football youtuber, and one of the things I do is give the LOCK upset of the week. One of the locks that I gave was Stanford over #14 USC and people were TRASHING me, saying "you're gonna cost people money"....NOPE,I knew USC was over-rated and Stanford was a bad matchup. So to see it on this list really makes me smile 😃 😁, it was a MASSIVE upset at the time!!
