The best tuition and opportunity you can give to your children is your own time, your encouragement and a safe and harmonious home environment. No amount of money or external tuition can buy that or outsource that. I know, parents work hard and cannot find the time or effort to provide the three elements mentioned above, but that is what you sign up for when you decide to have children.

To frame a child to a certain stream, so young, is so wrong, they don’t do it in the West and their kids still does well at the top Universities around the world.

  • @KarunanithiNRamachandran

I don't think tuition is necessary for all children , not esp. if the child is intelligent and self disciplined .
They will be able to learn on their own through the internet which I didn't have when I was schooling but was unable to further my studies because my family couldn't afford it and it wasn't as easy as now to get scholarships or student loans .
Children nowadays are so mollycoddled and yet don't amount to anything , esp. when it comes to civil and social responsibility .

i have 3 sons and none of them had tuition. I could not afford it - single income supporting 2 households. My eldest graduated from SIM U and is now an auditor. My second son topped his JC and got a full scholarship at NTU. He is now a computer engineer. My youngest studied at Curtin Uni in Perth Australia. He is now a physiotherapist, currently working in Perth on a work permit. No, I don't think tuition is a necessary. The children can actually manage and devvelop well on their own.

Unlike the past, nowadays there are more distractions. Actually, by looking at the child's school results and his attitude towards his study, one should be able to know whether the child needs tuition or not. Is that a difficult question?

No. Don't waste money on forcing your children to do something that they will hate you for. Instead put it in an investment account and when they are older, you got the money to pay for Poly or Uni.

The British never taugh Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia to develop young generation playing sport like Australia, Canada, New Zealand . Why ? Sport will bring people all walks of life united together heart and soul for the country and it hard to control them . They taugh Australian playing sport and united against Asian and China. They dont even allow Singaporean migrate to Australia like hundred of thousand of Vietnamese.Thousand of Singaporean have to retire and give 6 figure salary job to Australian and British . I am so sorry Singaporean, nothing we can do for you. We can defeat the French and American, what chance British and Australian in Viet nam? No chance at all , The British empire collapse already, they just hang in there for left over. " curry flavour" we can speak your language very well, you be surprise kids
