the first riff almost sounded filtered when you very first hear it, was an effect on or does it not have an effect until you click the pedal? Thanks, amazing stuff!
Nope no real effect besides some EQ and noise cancelation. I just go right into my interface now. I had some weird grounding issues with my strat lately so I rolled off more of the high end to get rid of the hiss. Probably not ideal but it doesn't really matter for this pedal (I don't think). Thankfully I figured it all out and don't have to worry about it now. Thanks for checking it out!
Awesome video as always. Question when recording a stereo synth to a mono pedal: do you just use the left output on the synth to the pedal? And do you use a TRS cable? Thanks!
Nope, I didn't have a big drop in volume. The sections around 1:23 6:33 7:47 and 8:57 show when the Crush is enabled... so that's what my unit sounds like. Have you tried just turning up the wet signal? I'd suggest making a short video recording of the issue and emailing Hungry Robot. They've got excellent customer service and will be able to tell you if there's a problem (and probably how to fix it).
@@aBunchOfPedals: I contacted HR and was informed that a 30% drop in Crush volume was within currently acceptable specifications (along with the new tap-tempo switch). You're the 3rd person who said they haven't experienced this particular issue, and, if anything, have actually noticed a slight boost upon engaging Crush toggle; must be something to do with latest versions. Mine was brand new, bought (and returned) last week; Crush was at least half the reason I bought it in the 1st place. I'm pretty bummed out because I really like the pedal, especially the way the Crush was implemented; it almost sounds like a fuzz/distortion, but that vol. drop is a total deal-breaker. -Guess I'll have to look for an older version. Thanx for reply.

Question: I may have missed it, but what does the right foot switch do? I presume it some form of momentary activation? Or is latching? I couldn't find it mentioned on the Hungry Robot site... (I preordered one of these, as there is enough going on I could see never touching it...)
I just go direct into my interface, skipping the amp. Then I’ll roll off the highs (which usually takes care of some noise). Do you think something might be wrong with it? I mean, it’s kind of a naturally noisy pedal….. but if you think it’s wonky then I would reach out to Hungry Robot, they’re a great company.

There is noise but mostly when I dial down the clock. I also don’t think it’s really meant to be a super clean chorus. So yea, I think the pedal is dope but I wouldn’t say the noise is unwanted.
@@winstonsmith8236 Yea, it's noisy when you engage that top row but that's kinda what it's for. I wouldn't say it's that noisy in general though. I've had some pedals that were like horribly noisy to the point of not wanting to use them. The latency is a lot better than the first one for sure.

Thanks! I would look at the manual for your specific synth. I just use a regular guitar cable on my minilogue.

Is it particularly noisy? That’s why I got rid of V1- that and the weird latency which seems better in this v2
