You're lucky that you were able to be put to sleep during your endoscopy. When I was in Korea back in 2009, I had to get one done, but I had to stay awake. I was gagging and burping so much lol. Four nurses had to hold me down

I don't know if I have asthma but as a child I used to cough all night long.
Since then it's been a good 15 years and now I feel that even at rest I feel stuffy and short of breath.
I have all the symptoms of asthma now except cough because I don't cough now.
And there was no asthma in the family.
endoscopy anesthesia is so wild- the first time i ever had one, they told me before i was wheeled into the procedure room that young women often cry after as a side effect. i said i wasn't going to be one of those people and sure enough, i start crying right as im getting into the wheelchair to be rolled out after. it was funny tho and i was laughing through it because i succumbed to it. glad everything was okay!
So weird o.o Done this with anesthesia a couple times too (not in Korea tho), it literally feels like you slept for a bit, nothing else. After procedure laid down peacefully in a separate room until full y awake and able to walk etc, then doctors let you know the results and let you home

Going under anesthesia is actually so wild - no one really knows what exactly happens when one is under - like what if there actually is pain, but one just doesn’t remember?? My mind was blown after I got my wisdom teeth removed.
Honestly, endoscopy was the worst procedure I have gone through LOL 10/10 traumatized
Plus I was under no anesthesia, they don't use it here much when they do the procedure :(
