I've got this one on the top of my shortlist. There were a few things that seem to have been issues before namely the vibrating and vibrating mirrors, roasting your thighs and balls in town or slow driving? How are you finding it? I also got the Z900RC on my list just because I think if I'm going to consider a retro bike this would be it. Others on my list are the Ninja 1000 SX and the Street Triple RS. I somehow swing between those bikes wanting the smoothness of the 3 and 4 cylinder bikes, the looks and styling of the Ducati and having all the bells and whistles of the Ninja, cruise control, connectivity etc, it seems to have everything whereas the others are missing something, the real question is do all those things really make difference, I honestly don't know but I do ponder over it. Or the agility and what seems like a lively responsive engine of the Triumph ... decisions decisions ...sure if I have the money I'd get them all or at least 2 but that's not the case.
I was set on a Street Triple but I am leaning towards this despite the price for the looks but even more importantly because you can enjoy it at moderate speeds with the sound. I think I would be a total idiot on the Triple 😁
I Have the Street Triple RS and its to stiff for our Aussi country roads, so like you I am trying to decide between a Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX and the 950SS next.
Yep, I'm that guy today... You might have a better riding experience if you can work your way through the revs in each gear and actually use the power of the engine - it appears that you're kicking up the gears prematurely and never really get the bike to work through its capacity in each gear, so the engine is lagging behind the gear changes ... [if it's annoying to read this, just ignore]
Are you kidding? It sounds like a putt-putt 4-stroke engine or Dad's lawn mower. It sounds nothing like the quintessential sport bike engine. Could never understand why Ducati uses those L-twin, vtwin engines as opposed to three and four cylinder engines. That Putt-Putt four-stroke sound is the one turn off for me on these bikes. Everything else about the Ducatis are absolutely beautiful

@@jamesdean2706 Thanks. That helps. I'm considering it for my next bike. Own a Harley now... I hope the vibrating mirrors don't come too much in the way of riding/visibility...
It's a Ducati. The mirrors are just for decoration. They are completely useless, but this bike is so sexy and so easy to ride fast I don't even care. Best bike I've ever had.
i test rode the White one, that was what i thought i wanted, only thing that put me off was once looking at one in the flesk, i thought it would be a harder bike to keep as clean, and it may be a one off, but saw a used bike in the showroom, and it appeared to fade a bit. That was my only reason. i loved both though. :)
I was all set to get a white SSS but when i went to the showroom the red just looks much better. Also, im getting tired of matt/satin paint, i want a bike i can polish. The white is a lovely colour but i wanted a red ducati so thats what ive ordered.

A red Ducati will always be a good looking bike
Thanks for a video. Can you share, what about the vibrations? Especially on the handlebar and mirrors. Thanks!

We have the same short list; and the same preferences. Small world.

Who said that the SS doesn’t like low revs!!! This video convinced me to buy a SS 950🤛👍

its called running it in guy..
I got the 950s yesterday it was an amazing bike, then i woke up
very friendly at low revs and speed
I bought this bike back in July and I love it. I also own 1 other Ducati's
I could listen to that sound all day, I am trying to decide between a Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX and this..

Thanks for doing this... so that I can "ride" the bike as and when I like it without having to own one... 😄
Thanks for excellent video ride!
Sounds great, even with standard exhaust.

@@JS-fb6ww Most motorcycle enthusiasts love the V twin sound, especially one that can pile on some rpm like the V2 Streetfighter or Panagale.
good video✌️
I’m actually thinking of selling my 2018 for a 2022 hyabusa. Never thought I would go back to Japanese but the bike fascinates me truly
Buahahahahah
Didn’t know the 950s came in red thought it was only in white
Nice bike mate ! Did you trade the Zed ?
No i've still got the Zed, traded on the Honda CBR500R. :).. the Zed is still the most beauiful of bikes.
Ah good . I have a Zed already but fancy a RS too
Sounds like dad's lawnmower.
New map ducati ... 🛵 CVT MODE... 😄..
.. GO GO GO! 🏍️🏍️🏍️🏍️🏍️🏍️
Is the key fob from Blade motorcycles by chance?
it certainly is. :)
What's that?
Does the problem of vibrating mirrors persist or has it been addressed?
Still there, i did have a test ride first and while not great, i can live with it. :)

The mirrors are terrible.

Does Ducati recommend to run it in like you do?
yep

You guys are driving on the wrong side of the road. Are you mad?
got mine 2 months ago and in love with it, what are your go pro settings, love the camera angle and settings
Sounds like a very old and used lawnmower...Nah give me Japanese quality thanks. Can't afford the parts on this.
Coming off my old Z900RS. I got to say the same..:)

Sounds like a putt-putt 4 stroke there buddy. Yikes.
how u drove bad. u must keep your RPM hight, it 's a double cylindres, isnt a japanese engine or german engine
Look at my comments Pal. I was running it in. Have to keep below 5k. :)
@@jamesdean2706 oh dear....I have this bike also in white. Suspension is to die for
