- This is a LiveEdit recreation of Netherlands' "Europapa" entry in Eurovision 2024 by Joost Klein.
LiveEdit is the software used for automatic camera switching during the Eurovision broadcasts. In previous years (2013-2023), CuePilot was used instead.

My favourite eurovsion act ever. Thanks for this interesting insight!
2:18 this part always gets me. The super fast switching of the cameras really works well!
Is that programmed?
@Alec15 Yeah I think all the camera switches are programmed. Poor operator if that isn't the case 💀
@@Alec15Yes, it's programmed. See the video explanation.
Something that went unnoticed in the end was the blue bird falling flat 🥀 while the piano man was rocking the guitar! 🎸
It would be cool to make a video talking about the location of all these different cameras and any info you might have about the video process.
Very interesting to see how the camera system works, thanks for showing!
It's always so interesting to see how they make all the setup for the cameras for this events. All the unsung heroes behind scenes deserve recognition too!! Thanks for sharing this!
Europapa mijn nummer 1
i find these videos so interesting thank you for posting!
my respect for the editors and all the producers is like up above the clouds
Thx!
❤❤❤
Hi, do you plan uploading such video for Finland? I am really curious about it.
Could you do windows95man
Could you do Luktelk please? I would love to see that
What a song! Such a shame that the organizers disqualified it.
What happens if one of the cameras fails for a reason, are you going to switch the cameras live?
Yes, the director can manually override this
LiveEdit connects to Producer to control compatible switchboard (look up Blackmagic ATEM Constellation), in case any camera is going to fail, it'll be overridden by button on that particular switchboard.
Europapa the real winner 2024
you should do Silvester Belt - Luktelk
where did u find the camera angles?
could you do one for isaak?? thanks
not really how CutPilot are used. The cus are for notes not camera despriction. That is what the numbers are for.
I know that, but I think it’s obvious that I’m not in a position to guess what these notes (shot description) actually write. For songs that I know them I have added them (Switzerland and Croatia). For the rest as you pointed out I’ve used them to explain to viewers which camera is which (I think it’s better than leaving them empty) :)
@@DimitrisSartzetakis they are public on the internet.
@@ZiconMast I haven’t found any information on the shot descriptions for songs other than Croatia and Switzerland
Where do you get the shots from?
Eurovision is televised all around europe, he probably sourced the video from the youtube channel of Eurovision.
can you do one for zari lol
It’s boring 😂 half of the video would be camera 18
@@DimitrisSartzetakisSurely would save a ton of work though
Btw spidercam most the time is referred to as 2d cam
It’s not 2D though as it moves in 3 axes, unlike the past two years :) even on the production’s LiveEdit app was mentioned as “3D-SYSTEM”. So I chose the term spidercam as it’s most widely known to describe 3D cable cams
@@DimitrisSartzetakis ah, OK, I see now
