Another Suzuki lesson, this one covering syncopation. This is a technique that happens when one or more notes are played “off beat”. i should start recording horizontal
Leave your bow on the string and move it slower if you need to stop to play the rhythm. Don’t add a rest where there is no rest. If it’s written tenuto then it doesn’t have to be marcato for it to not be legato. Then, ornaments and rhythm changes wouldn’t be accidental. It’s harder to do than you think it is. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the advice, its always nice to have some tips even for playing 8 years of violin (granted the first few, it was just something to do-going to lessons). These are all things that i hear a lot from my teachers and such, which is why i make sure to try include them in my videos as well as showing my screw-ups because noone is perfect and everyone can learn.
@@VLJ23 It should be more about listening back to your practice. That’s why it’s good. Do you watch the videos you make? You should listen to yourself with headphones?
@@shilohpatten3761 yes, its part of the reason i make these videos. I make them because i not only want to help others but to also motivate myself to practice. in fact some of the first videos i made was my own progression through my solo.
@@VLJ23 If you want, I can give you some virtual lessons, and then you can talk about what you’re learning and show yourself practicing, and then that will give me an idea of what you should learn next. I like doing it like that. I don’t charge for that. I just want people to know it works.
@@shilohpatten3761 i would appreciate that but i had one of my previous teachers do that before, but im a person who need a in person class for me to actually learn. thanks for the offer though
Good job buddy. 😊
Play with a metronome, not beforehand, but to make you take it slower to find the tempo of using all of your bow.
No vibrato until you learn the bow or you’ll feel the need to do the book again when it tells you to.
