You were so, so wonderful at your concert on the 23rd and when you sang this it reminded me of so many times my husband, Sam, was gone on deployment while on active duty for 23 yrs!! We missed so many Christmas’ during that time! It makes me cry to hear you sing it so beautifully! I’ll be home for Christmas will always remind me how Blessed we are to be together now!! Oh my goodness, dear Jonathan, I was brought to tears in the first minute of hearing you sing this beautiful song!! My husband was active duty military for 23 yrs!! He was gone so many Christmas’! When you started singing it, all those memories came flooding back…missing the man I loved more than any other was so very difficult, then as our 2 sons came along, it was hard beyond belief to see them missing Daddy! I’ll be home for Christmas will always be so special to me for these reasons but I must admit, hearing you sing it with your magnificent voice, brings it to a whole levelI I thank you from the bottom my heart for myself, but also for all those serving their country so far from home and loved ones!! It brings a piece of home to them!!
My husband and I are traveling to St Petersburg to hear you sing in concert! I pray I’ll be home for Christmas and Silent Night will 2 of the songs we hear you sing with your incredible voice!! Though I’m disabled, I hope to see you in the meet and greet!! It would be a great honor as you are so humble and kind with great wit and humor!
