I just installed the Curt 13316 trailer hitch on my wife's BMW X4 and made a DIY tutorial video. It will take 2-3 hours and you will want to make sure that you have a rivet gun that works on plastic rivets before starting. Overall not a bad job to do.

Thanks. I just ordered this for my wife's 2017 X3. I bought the rivet gun and nylon pry bars from Amazon. I appreciate your filming. The removal of the bumper (clips) looks like a pain but oh well. I'll post again with my results later (should be 3 weeks as I am waiting for the hitch to ship - just ordered it today).

Nice job! Those plastic snap pieces always seem like they’re going to break. Did you consider the stealth hitch?
can't get the passenger side most rearward side clip to clip in. The rear ones do, and the most car forward ones do, but the one in between right before the fascia turns the corner to those clips will not clip in to save my life, so it looks "lifted, or sweller " in that little area. Help!!!
The kick door opener sensor still working after installation?
I have question...Is this fits with 2020yr X3 too??
