The HAIM girls have a unique singing style, often very staccato (like in this song). They are kind of great orators who accidentally also know how to make a fantastic tune. Their crisp voices don't do much harm to their performance either. There is a drawback though, and they probably can't do much about it: they're a bit too attractive. I always need to play their video's at least twice because after the first play I can't remember I've listened at all...

As well deserved, in a period, this song was playing several times every day, and on every musical station... The video is very good too.
I feel this song corresponds to the yearnings that are happening right now to many of us. It's very genuine. I really admire D-Rose; as the gent in this reminds me of him and and the romance I had with basketball in my youth. And so I'm taken to a sacred place in my memory. I guess that all my life I wasn't trying to get on a highway either since I often avoid driving--and growing up, (even though i'm working myself up to getting onto one of the side streets) and i'm still wondering which way to go with everything as well--with hopes, dreams, feeling lost, with broken emotional gps, but then I hear this and it takes me back to how it used to go--to back then, when I thought I'd be ok at this age.
