- A Georgia man is being retried for allegedly shooting and killing his friend, leaving her body in a park. This is the second trial against Austin Tybre Ford, 22. A judge had to declare a mistrial on May 1. Jurors convicted Ford of theft by taking, and one count of concealing the death of another, but they deadlocked on charges of felony murder and aggravated assault. They could not agree on whether or not he killed Tori Lang, 18.

There is a big difference between "suicidal thoughts" and being "suicidal"
If he’s innocent why did he tell anyone she killed herself
This defense attorney reminds me of a sleazy car salesman
Science already does not explain so much... how did she get blood on her thigh??
Why still did he throw the gun in the lake and drive her car away from the scene and NOT TELL ANYONE SHE WAS DECEASED IN THE PARK... but helped to look for her.. he gives me sociopath vibes... because of what he chose to do after... poor Tori either way...
He’s guilty of something but maybe not pulling the trigger. I was kind of upset with the mother’s testimony- I mean why wouldn’t you read all of the journals so you could know what your child was feeling? No way I wouldn’t have read everything before turning them over. Or at least made copies.
It felt like she was lying to me. Trying not to say she knew the girl was suicidal.
@@lauraschruba4046yes i agree
The police took the journals the day she was found. Police searched her room, found them, showed them to the mother. How was she going to read them all while police were standing there waiting to confiscate them?
Not being able to hear the lawyers is beyond annoying!
Especially when the witness says, "Yes" or "Correct" How am I supposed reverse engineer the question.
"She's more important than my wallet."
Really? He's 💯 guilty.
We will always support this channel. They're one of the best.
Did nobody do a GSR on the poor girl?
Exactly. This would solve so much.
This is the strangest case ever! Even if he did it they can’t prove it. Not guilty let him go. I hate she had all these thoughts and no one helped her.
What makes you say he’s “not guilty” ??
do you feel they proved it beyond a reasonable doubt?
There is NO WAY I could take this man's FREEDOM and life away on what they have presented. Idk if he did it or not, but the state did a very poor job and there is way too much reasonable doubt for me if I were a juror to say he did it. I'm glad the 4 jurors didn't budge. Let this man go. Did they even check for GSR on her hands? Idr them saying anything about it.
@@cyndilagasse991 absolutely not!
I have so many questions, did she have gunshot residue on her hand? Her arms could have been positioned after she was shot? Could the void in the blood have been her car keys?
If this ends up in another mistrial, would it not be better for the Prosecution to amend the charges to assisted s rather than m?
HE OMITTED MANY THINGS... LIED ABT WHEN LAST HE SAW HER ...WHY?....
Why NOT testify? Speak!!
Maybe he laid down beside her and she slept while he shot her, or they were looking at the stars and he shot her. Is that not plausible? Sure is…
This medical examiner is too friendly w defense counsel. Ive never seen a case like this😳. Strange to say the least. Btw he is so unprofessional. I gotcho I gotcho. Wtf🤯.
I think she liked the way he flattered her throughout her testimony.
STRATEGY...HE WANTS TO CREATE INDIFFERENCE OR FLIPPANCY FOR CLIENT.... DISCONNECT...NOT MY CLIENT
I'm the opposite....it is actually nice to see a medical examiner stand up for what she believes is the truth rather than just cosign the prosecution's theory. Too often they just go along with the theory.....that isn't justice.
I actually loved this relationship between both of them. Instead of a ME being on states side, she is wanting to show truth or facts. I like defense attorney too. He’s acting like a normal person.
@user-xt9qv2es8t 🤣🤣. I've watched plenty of trials. He is very charismatic but his gotcha got on my nerves. My opinion. Idgaf if judge said nothing. I've watched plenty of cases where judge should of and didn't! Point???
WHY DID HE LIE? GUILTY!
Yeah… his lies got me confused. I think he did something, but I think she killed herself. He doesn’t seem to have a reason to want her dead.
Let me tell you the reason. Think back in your life, have you ever seen a guy be friends with a hot girl for 10 years without being interested in more. Then when she comes over sends his girlfriend out of the house for his bff(girl). This guy got fed up of always being not good enough for boyfriend but good enough for bestfriend. when Tori asked him to help her instead of getting her mom involved and getting her real help he got fed up. WHY would he NOT dial 911 and say this girl wants to kill herself Im worried and why would he BURN her car unless he wanted to destroy evidence, WHY?
@@mandystone3005he didn't know for for 10 years her mother said about 4 he carried out her wished after she died but couldn't tell police in case they thought he killed her but he might as well have told the truth... As for him wanting more someone said she wanted more but he didn't...
In the first trial it was said they did date in middle school . This whole case is a mess. He lied about not seeing her. He lied to her mom when she called him and pretend to not know where she was. He set her car on fire. So even if she was suicidal he still didnt have to lie about the event and could of called right after it happen
Was there gun shot residue on her hand???
probably too late, she wasn’t found right away
never too late....
That’s my question, too?! Nobody thought to test her hands for GSR evidence?
@@belindavandyk6128 I remember hearing commentary on another trial a while back that, yes you need to test for GSR within a specific period of time to detect it.
This ladies demeanor is so different on the stand verses on her interview. She’s talking with an accent and sounds like a girl kinda flirting with him. She probably feels embarrassed listening to herself lol
Interrogators are actors
Adoring looks at the defense attorney?
53:05 Aaand there goes the state's case. If the jury is going to listen to one person this whole trial who has the experience and knowledge to know what she's talking about, it's going to be the medical examiner, hands down.
So what happens if they have another hung jury on the murder charge?
if she said that, why didnt he call 911? or her mother?
Why is there no talk of gun dot residue testing/results?!?! I don’t understand😑
Her voice is ridiculous. Sounds like a girlfriend or side piece questioning him.
I have second hand embarrassment for her lol
I think she is coming across as friendly. This only works with a good cop/bad cop interrogation.
why does this defense attorney sound like a little Chihuahua going all high pitched and yappy. That would get on my nerves.
Ah I see the .*love shack* is indeed open 🤣🤣🤣🤣
How strong was she physically...did she play sports, co-ordination, what she strong enough to operate the weapon.. did she know how? Otherwise an uh accomplice? . .. most suicides happen in isolation not in public open spaces where sound travels...also she loved and knew that her mother would have to see scene and condition ...this girl didn't do it to herself
So suicidal but able to hold out until she convinces him to do it? Oh wait that was his third story. He pushed gun away and went to hug her and even though she supposedly couldn’t do it herself she grabbed the gun and shot herself at some odd angle. Come on!!!
This detective a little too friendly in my opinion. If they had used a different approach with a different detective, they would've gotten more out of him 💯
Ford and Tori was dating? It sure sounds like it. Wonder if Tori was going to cut it off in the park under a tree?
Or she stole his wallet and he put a bullet in her. He kept bringing up the wallet several times
Again THE AUDIO SUX
@5:14:19 she couldn’t hear him because she steady asking him questions while he’s still answering the previous question. Also, terrible line of questioning, she’s confusing the conversation. Then the little comment about him being outside talking to Tori while the girlfriend was inside was inappropriate, she sound like she on the gossiping with a friend.
scoop refused to talk????
Why is police audio and video always trashh
Most of the time that’s correct. I wonder why they place microphones/cameras in or near the vent on the ceilings? That causes an awful noise which muffles voices.
Why are they doin a retrial ?
I don’t understand how they got murder charges on this guy. I hope he has not been in jail this whole time. Just goes to show you “don’t ever talk to the cops without representation!”
Your statement is scary. Clearly you must not be paying attention to ALL the evidence being shared… he lied for 8-9mo about what happened to Tori and there is video footage, showing him leaving the apartment with Tori in one outfit and returning in a different outfit… when tori and ford left, he didn’t have no bag or change of clothes. Someone brought that change of clothes and helped him clean up… I think his mom helped him
You really think he’s innocent? 🤦♂️
Manipulating the scene and torching her car tells me he’s guilty. I think he was sitting on top of her while she was on her back and he shot her. She was trying to get the gun from him or fight him off. This scenario makes the most sense to me.
HE SAID (HERESY) SHE WANTED HIM OR SOMEONE TO HURT HER?? WAS THAT THE TESTIMONY...HE MENTIONED THAT WHEN HE EVENTUALLY SAID HE WAS WITH HER THAT NIGHT
Good afternoon from the uk is the love shack up and running yet 😃
i want to see the pic of the void
After listening again to Austin's testimony, I finally found out why he would want to get rid of her: "she kept popping up", according to him. She was getting into his way. Scoop kept 'popping up' too.
Nah.
Wow! Sheila what were you thinking!,
Right? Taking pictures of the jury!! You KNOW why she was doing that!!!
Who was taking the pictures?
@@trixie4010 the defendants mother!!!!!
Like mother like son?? The rules of law don't apply to them? Man I hope the judge doesn't let her off
@@lisapully9274 she has an actual court date for Contempt ! I hope we get to see that too!!!!
It is a weak case. No surprise it is retrial.
I thght it was a retrial bc a juror asked to be removed bc of her husband passing and she thght she was going to be able to handle it. (At least that's what I read)
It's a weak case because ME can't say for sure about manner of death. His lies however determine he at very least helped her to end her life. He knew enough to lie and hide facts. He isn't guilty of murder IMO but he def helped her. So sad!!
Love watching these videos but the subtitles are pretty rubbish.
The medical examiner is brilliant. And I just love the defense attorney. He always says I got you I got you!!!😂 his voice is pleasant to listen to.
Was that an interrogation? I hope not! If so they need new interrogators. Reminds me of this new soft generation. Why tf would you coddle a suspect? Smh
he did it she was so pretty
Was the first trial televised?
Not sure
@@Schuch-jz7bq thanks for replying
Yes it was. I think he was found guilty on tampering with evidence but hung jury on the shooting. So he will go to jail for something
Yes it was
@@lindaaitken7679wow how did I miss it
love seeing the diversity in georgia's law enforcement and judicial community
What a ridiculous statement.
@@WhitneyBrock88 why?
Same.
So, what’s today?
lets get to important details - where was the gun found? fingerprints?? blood or brain matter on the gun?
This is such a super hard one because he seems to be telling the truth to me but I have some doubt. It’s going to be hung again I think. The jury will watch this interview again before returning for deliberations in the morning. Guess we will see.
i love dr terry
Surely this guy didn’t kill her over 300 bucks. Only motive I’ve seen so far.
They where hooking up and she threatened to tell his GF
I didn‘t knew this case before.
I just watched it now the last few days.. and it is weird.
Tori having those thoughts and telling him quite openly that he should shoot her and then she allegedly killed herself in front of him.
But then the way she was placed..
But he sounds quite chill and logical (for a traumatized guy if she did kill herself in front of him)
Her mother gave me also weird vibes. I don‘t think it was all sunshine and rainbows
In all the pictures I saw from Tori I kinda see her eyes just dead and sad and mostly a forced smile.
Well, not guilty. Free the guy
So she died of old age? Who killed her?
@@SpicyTexan64she likely killed herself
he's going nowhere. He's already been convicted of some serious crimes.
@@IzzyMarielwhat crimes?
@@tjohnson7811, he was convicted in the last trial for stealing the car and for concealing the death of another.
This should not have went to trial. If the prosecutor does not know “the manner of death” then the prosecutor does not know if this was a murder. Another way of saying “I don’t know” is REASONABLE DOUBT!
He was there and lied. Why is he lying is better question🤯
@@denisehoose5162 lying to the police and murder are two different charges. It is quite clear why one may lie about being present when someone dies. He is literally being charged for murder based off the belief that he was simply there regardless if he actually killed the person.
Plenty of murder cases don't know the manner of death. They still reach guilty verdicts.
@@LDiamondz there are plenty wrongful convictions too
@@exgamer07 Absolutely. It's a double edged sword, I guess.
He shot her... She was to scared to killl herself
She looked up at her god and he shot her
Hes innocent
Why didn’t he tell anyone that she killed herself than
@@muffy2849 Maybe he was afraid of being a suspect bc he would have said something too late. When u panic during the moment, u lose logic so u don’t think to call the cops right away
You allow child selling autopsy child phontos in your channel!!! 10 to Live to be on your channel!!! How sick is that ??? !!!
Huh?
@@itshrg2480 🤣😂😆 right
Wrong Channel lol.
It was Zav girl
That wasn't 10 to Life 🤦♀️
After hearing the phone call and the detective finding that Austin searched what guns he could buy for $300, could it be that he was supposed to meet her to buy the gun since she was strapped for cash, but he killed her instead and wanted his money back? I feel like they were more than just friends and whatever issues they had came to a head in the park that night. Such a sad case. I feel like he’s guilty but there was plenty of reasonable doubt due to the prosecution not presenting/charging the case as well as they could have. RIP Tori🥹🙏🏾
