- On this episode of the TRC Invitational at OSW a new challenger steps up to call out Gordon's 1000+WHP Evo X. Jeff brought out his H-pattern Turbo Ford GT350, he originally lost to gordon at our TRC Street Kings race in December 2022 but he's back for revenge!

Dude I just met Jeff yesterday in my hometown here in southern Maryland. Struck up a conversation out of the blue and he tells me he’s here to grudge at MIR this weekend (6/8/24 so I asked him if was on CZcams and hey said look on TRC. I immediately cut him off and said “that racing channel” he smiled and said yup. What a cool fkn guy and an even more bad ass gt350. Can’t wait to see the outcome from this weekend in Maryland.
I’m glad they both had difficulties during the runs because it shows that it’s never a sure thing and and things can happen 👍👍

@@slowcars24 not close; he just runs even with a Plaid so you know exactly what his trap speed is; 150mph on a 1/4 roll. This Mustang is much quicker than that

I'm a Ford mechanic and I do love how they did the newer stangs! They look good perform good and so much better than anything in the domestic market! But I'm an import guy specifically JDM and dtm! So happy the evo one though it's not a 4g anymore!

Takes real skill to drive a rwd with 1400 hp compared to AWD...
At 1000 plus HP AWD or RWD don’t matter anymore since they both spin and could lose control. Of course AWD still has the slight advantage though.
Damn I really want to see them race again! Brings back memories of my youth racing on the street after work on the weekends.
The GT350 is one of the most underrated cars of this decade. Sucks that the Evo went under thoglugh, was an awsome build.
There's nothing dishonorable with taking a win like that but it's also an excellent excuse for a rematch!
The second run the evo had a car and a half and he stole the hit and barely held the 350 off but he's sandbaggin lmao! Go 350!

Its crazy the the evo motor lasted 4 years at high boost. Its definitely the most reliable 4 cyl.
The older Evo motor was stronger.

GT350 for the win. A small motor pushed to it’s limits vs a bigger motor making similar power with less boost 🎉. The Evo being that fast I knew something would fly out the engine bay sooner or later. Performance and reliability for the win.
As soon as I saw those sparks I knew. Damn man, its all good he'll be back and better than before!

Feel all this video has to offer. Think on the sounds, smells, sights, and feeling. Think on the brotherhood and community of motorsport. It transcends simply wining or loosing as the overall goal. The friends we make, and all the late nights in strangers garages as they become a friends garage. Why do we toil so much and struggle through daily grind to make funds that go directly to improving. Little by little inch by inch in a constant search for more power more traction more feeling, more friends more more more. Its a drive inside of us that seems to always be there. The vibrations from the road to the car to our brains and every single nanometer of space in between. The smell of oil of gasoline of methanol ethanol, of tire smoke. Why is it we grin from ear to ear when we hear our very first watergate flutter. The jubilee as FINALLY we see that gauge needle swing from vacuum to boost for the 1st time. The sound of a race motor as the boost changes the cylinder pressure and the exhaust note deepens and becomes alive and violent. Is it a machine? Or simply a physical manifestation of our souls welded screwed bolted and tightened together to create a living expression of everything we hold dear. ALL of this is THE reason internal combustion is here to stay. It will stay because it simply MUST. Stop trying to push an electric vehicle future. Let us hold on to our own souls just a little while longer. Because we don't make horsepower, or build our cars because we want to. We do it because in every single possible definition of the word, we NEED to. Don't let them fool you. We hear so much about cutting the CO2, gotta get rid of it right? Well, thats not the best of ideas since plants literally use CO2 for freakin food! The absolute greenest this planet has ever been was at the end of the Carboniferous period when global CO2 levels were 10x what they are today. Your Tesla is actually depriving plants and trees of the CO2 they need during photosynthesis. The reason they are trying to get everyone to drive EV's is actually very simple. Money and Power. Nefarious Politicians would just love to be able to flick a switch and render you with no ability to have freedom of movement. Do you really think Government will give up the trillions of dollars in gas taxes they make each year? Not to mention that every single thing Humans make has to be made from natural resource right? We aren't getting scrap resource car packages sent through some wormhole by a bunch of aliens. If we humans make something then what its made of had to come from Earth. Well, if its not made directly from a rock, metal, or tree then where did we get the raw material from? It ALL comes from oil. ALL OF IT! your Rx drugs, cosmetics, roads, plastics, contact lenses, go around your house right now and place your hand on anything you see. If its isn't a plant, or made from solid metal/rock, then its made from oil. Oil is what pays for the whole show. Every city looks and operates the way its does in 2023 because we are ABLE to use oil. A windmill gan generate electricity but it can't MAKE another windmill. So if you have actually read this far then I appreciate it. Its just that every time a watch a great TRC video, the hairs on my arms and neck stand up and I fall in love with horsepower all over again. However every single time I feel such joy, its always ruined by some scumbag person like Biden telling me to eat bugs and go buy an EV and how bad oil is. Oil is the reason we as a society have it as good as we do. Its the single solitary reason we can live in such comfort and excess. Its the reason we can have racing and building cars as a hobby in the 1st place. Oil should be freakin given thanks every Sunday in church. We should build shrines of love and adoration to crude petroleum. We should stand and give the freakin pledge of allegiance to the flag, and then immediately thank Jesus for oil. Yep you can kiss my a$$ EV's. Internal combustion is here to stay, and personally that helps me sleep that much better at night. Tomorrow begins a new day in the search for more HORSEPOWER!

The GT500 DCT is the problem and that's why people have been doing transmission swap.
Ford and their (often) ridiculous transmission choices. They build this DCT which functions really well in stock form. Tune it? No. How could Ford not anticipate the tuning market?
They use a manual with Chinese parts and become the brunt of class action lawsuits over the piece of garbage. So what do they do with the new S650 chassis? Run the same stupid Chinese guts manual transmission (with improvements). Meanwhile, "special" versions of the Mustang get the Tremec manual which has NEVER had issues from day 1.
All I can conclude is that there are moronic managers at Ford corporate who make decisions based on dollars and China instead of the domestic customers.
Meanwhile over at Dodge, they run a Tremec in all their manuals, and a ZF in all their autos. It takes abuse upon abuse and never breaks down. No issues.

I love the Evo but they seem to break or blow head gasket when you build them do they hold up if you build them up some what do you have to do to make them reliable and have a good amount of HP

I big turbo or smaller twin turbos it’s the same. Boost and nitrous are two different forms of force induction =two power adders

4 cylinder hell most engines can’t handle a shit ton of boost from a turbo and nitrous . To much cylinder pressure . That’s where higher engines help they can hold and handle more cylinder pressure evenly than a smaller engine.
