What really expanded my opportunities to use guitars in my songs was you telling us about the Klevgrand Stark AUv3-App, which is really, really cool. Thank you for all your efforts. The tip for changing amps is fantastic. That opens up a load of possibilities. Speaking as a guitarist, I tend not to use this touch instrument. The glissando sounds unnatural to me. It is handy for non-guitarists and for trying out some chord changes when writing.
    It’s one of the things I love about GarageBand: being able to explore instruments you don’t play. I used keys on my #songtember song, which I probably wouldn’t even have thought of without touch instruments.

Or a Physical Acostic Guitar is best to play Guitar and Record....because quick custom playing lead in Guitar is also difficult in Garage band..... because we move very easily in Physical Guitar .... Hi Pete. Is the 4 options only on the new update? As you know I’m still stuck at 12.4.? Because of the sonic port issue. Also, have you noticed any odd behaviour since updating and, is GarageBand greatly improved over the previous version. So I know if I’m missing anything that would make a reasonable difference? Thanks. Great vid for the beginners and those with some experience🖌

    Question- in scale mode aren’t ONLY the light squares part of the scale on the fretboard? Or all the notes in between PLUS the light squares?

    • @PeteJohnsMusic
      @PeteJohnsMusic  Před 4 lety +2

      Thanks my friend and good question. The light notes are the root notes of the scale - like the C of the C scale. Each other note is part of that scale. Hope this helps. 👍

    • @CloudtheCommander

      Pete Johns man, that’s unfortunate. It does seem though that an electric guitar like the “wah”whatever it’s called has the normal scale like a normal string track does, so I guess I can still use that. It’ll take a longer time, but it can be done. Thanks!

    Hei I’m a drummer. And into black metal hehe. So I have a break from my drums atm I have not a pc only drum mics and a sound card but I don’t know how to put them up. I think I need a pc and more cables. So I can’t get the drum sound I want so for now I try to use the GarageBand and program drums but that takes sooooooooooo long time if I go into every detail and all my project getting half done. Anyway for guitar i use that guitar strings in the app. But i wonder can you tell me some cool chords I can add to that guitar simulator. I’m not a guitarist but I make pretty legit cold tremolo and chugging I sort of learn a little about these scales and try to find the best ones. But suddenly everything sounds the same somehow. You got some tips?

      Hi there. So, you can record directly in the GarageBand app, or you can output from the headphone jack, lightning port or use an audio interface to send the audio out to another device to record.
