During the national anthems for the match between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (aka North Korea) and Brazil, a player is seen crying as the emotion is all too much.
Regardless of the politics, must be a hell of a stage to walk out on for the biggest game of your career. - Sport
The player at 0:42, Jong Tae se, was crying because he was able to play for his country despite the fact that he lives in Japan. He is extremely proud of his country and even if you are against North Korea, you gotta respect that man...
Yet he got executed for losing 😂
Sorry but that is wrong he was crying because if they lost he would be killed
@@extee6921 he didnt get executed... he still lives in japan

He said: 'I'm impressed to be playing on the best stage in the world. I was impressed to face the best team in the world. Everything was like a dream, and tears fell.
HE LOVES HIS COUNTRY!!! WHAT IS WRONGWITH THIS?! HE IS JUST PROUD!!!

@@jasoncorr8875 Yes, it is.

He is a Korean who is in Japan (Korean nationality).

That's the true spirit of citizenship, they feel longing to their homeland.
A man without homeland can't have this feeling.
Those guys can be proud !
They aren't playing in Europe like the Brasilians or others.
They didn't have a contract.
They played with heart and soul.
My respect to North Korea
He didn‘t cry because of his „proudness“ and yk that
@@google-user3840 yea bro he grew up in Japan I’m pretty sure hes dead just like u thought
@@toxiccholo2544 he plays for a Japanese team
@@ryanyuen3017 yea ik I was mocking la coste
@@google-user3840 He did, he doesn’t live in North korea or play in a North Korean team, but he still plays for his people and country, so yes it was nationalism, not love for his leader or because he thought he was gonna die, he’s literally still alive..
I respect you, bro...
you love your country no matter what it is, whether it's like heaven or hell, your love for your country is the way of being loyal!!!!
North Korea!!!
@haidls back why not?
@haidls back he never lived there
The true winners of that match. They played for the love of their people and for the love of the game. They may have lost points-wise, but even one goal against the Brazilian juggernaut showed that they have the strongest willpower of any team in this World Cup. Here's to hoping they make it far!
There not like shush u prob just from Korea they lost 7 0 and ur saying there the true winners

"True winners" They literally lost bro. Stop trying to take down the merit of Brazil.
1:00 flag upside down
Oh shit... They are going to be beheaded lol
someones getting shot with a heavy artillery gun lol
Well that was 10 years ago
And the man on the side warns him that the flag is in wrong Position!
North Korea vs Brasil = David vs Goliath, Koreans can feel proud of their game and the score, hope they make it to final stages of the World Cup
44 years is a long time to wait...it was very emotional for them...i have to say im proud of what north korea did today. they fought hard and they deserved that goal. even though Iran (my country) didnt qualify, good for korea! they proved the critics and all the spectatrs wrong!

He’s been playing in Japanese Top league for a long time. Still famous and great player. He’s really famous for his great personality. As someone mentioned in the comments section, he was born and raised in difficult situation. When he joined North Korean team in his young age, nobody tried to be friend with him since his father is S.Korean and he raised in Japan. Once I met and talked with him at stadium. He was so gentle and kind. Japanese people all respect him.
Chong Tese ... He is a Korean living in Japan who is shedding tears during the song of the national anthem. After spending school life at a Korean school in Japan, he became a representative of North Korea from 2006 to 2011, with the cooperation of various people.
Currently he is active in Shimizu S-Pulse of Japan.
I applaud people who feel strongly about thinking about a country like him.
I met him 2011 in Frankfurt, i even spoke with him some worda
I would cry if I was playing in a world cup with my country and singing the national anthem
beautiful song
This national anthem sounds is awesome ...
A man who really loves his nation and land
He isn’t North Korean he is Japanese and he lives in Japan but I think he’s now dead
Kim Jong Un definitely reward him for crying
Crying player,Jong Tae Se was born and grow in Japan. You call such Korean born and live in Japan Zainichi(在日) in Japanese. Zainichi is discriminated in not only Japan but also Korea so they sometimes lose their identity as Korean but he could play as member of his country's national team and was moved. I hope Zainichi and Janese do well each other in the future.
I cry when I hear the star spangled banner and I'm most definitely not alone. Nationalism isn't bad, only when it's forced.

A great man to be quoted 😂😂😂
me too,, I am Indonesian and the star spangled banner is so powerful
I cherish The star spangled banner and My Country Tis of thee 🇺🇸
The Star spangled banner is the most awfully boring anthem I’ve heard, and it doesn’t say anything good, it’s just a song about this nation that is becoming more of a mess everyday
North Korea
Chairman Kim il-Sung
Kim Il-sung the country you found. I just wish your grandson can bring peace to North Korea 🇰🇵. All hail general Kim Il-Sung. May your grandson make peace
It is called the DPRK, not North Korea.

the coach said jf they lost they will get excecutef
He is japanese korean, and he participated in this match as North Korean player. That's why he was really moved emotionally.
However, he doesn know the reality of North Korea because he usually lives in Japan.
True
a great player, the scene is so emotional.
Yes
"Respect players!".......
In what's been a dull World Cup thus far, this will undoubtably become one of the highlights of the tournament once the ball is kicked and the final whistle in blown. Great moment!
respect from Greece too! From an amateur footballplayer. North Korean players represent all of us who love the game without being paid. Their dream become true. Now for those who propagate things about north Korea system, just take into account that people from an "embarged" country love their homeland and cry during their final anthem. The primadonas of the capitalistic west countries never do that. West civilization proaganda and arrogance are blinding us more and more every day :(
respect for him, because he see the real freedom..he imagine his people were free and all can watch football in the stadium as these in the future..thats why he cried..
Thats the beauty of sports..after all its just a game but the passion and emotions can get better of you sometimes...
I would cry too, if i ever hear my national anthem in a world cup. El salvador.
Doubt it
They fought hard to qualify for the World Cup. Bravo to them 👏
Great respect to Jong Tae-Se and all the players of the DPRK team! They might have lost but they showed great moral strength and dedication. Something that most players of other countries can only dream of. They even regained their honor with their goal and they showed the "World Champions" with very tough play. I will support North Korea untill the end.
First time i see this. My respect to the team. They fought hard today.
Lembranças dessa copa linda
They will be punished for losing
That's what I call Pride

Thank you, FIFA, for giving me a different face to associate with North Korea other than that of Kim Jong Il. I rooted for them all along.
GREETINGS FROM SERBIA !!!!
he is Jong Tae Se
I would cry if i was on a World Cup and singing my anthem
Where did that audience come from?
Mostly Zainichi Koreans like Jeong
aww bless him, he had a pretty decent game to
He was born and raised in Japan.
He has lived in Japan entire his life. But his soul represented North Korea.
R.i.p. the North Korea Football Player who got Executed 😞
I wonder what happens to them after the match...
@Hectovr
why do you live in america and support mexico? that doesnt make sense.
I hope the tension will decrease... many respect to that player..
0:28 When you realize that you will die if you don't win the match
The worst part is he is gonna face Brazil
nope
They were dead after that match
0:31 cry
Maybe he didn't know the national anthem.
Esteban Valenzuela in the other two games he was singing the anthem
Two extremes could possibly make you cry, in most cases sorrow does and for some joy. It was joy for this playe3 possibly being at this stage of the tournament, possibly this chance not coming again
Imagine being from a country that’s always looked down upon and never in any international stages, and you represent that country standing in the stadium of an international event.
that was sad
When U know the truth
The name is Jong Tae-Se.
Apparently that guy was born and raised in Japan
Big respect from a new Serbian fan....
is Jong Tae Se is one of the goodest North Korean player?
He is born and raised in Japan I thought. And he also plays in Japan.. so I think its very emotional for him to play for North Korea :)
These guys aren't playing for earning contracts and have lavish homes, they're playing for their nation and its making me respect them.
Y'all know that the guys from northkorea got executed after that for not winning😶
Some ppl said they got executed when they got home, dont worry guys they only got a public shaming, i think they cried bc they had to return back to that prison
LOVE IT!!!!!!! I cried tooo!!!!
I cried too
Guys u really don't know ?
Respect to that guy man 😢
The crying one was actually South Korean living in Japan but he went to the only Korean school in japan which was a North Korean school and when he was older he got to choose his nationality so instead of choosing Japan or South Korea he choose to play for North Korea
There are many north Korean schools in Japan man, he went to Aichi Korean School specifically
I can never forget this event … though nothing as big as us eventually winning the World Cup under the guidance of our beloved leader.
Kim Jong-Un later got the title “The best Football manager ever” after this, Kim Jong-Un has the ability to win every match if he feels like it. Truly a legendary leader!
Cant wait to see my country in wc i would cry too
Wow😭❤
What emotions...
Player was ethnically Korean but is from japan (Zainichi)
Why I am crying
Yeah why ate you crying.... ??? A regime that kills thousands of its own people.

@azndragn12 yeah thats very true, too sad they got in such a group with brazil, portugal and cote d´'ivore, they have almost no chance to get to the finals, but wd be great if they do
@hindsighter he's just proud of representing his country, which is something you'll probably never do.
