The tone of these excerpts remind me of what Dude says to Walter in Big Lebowski
"You're not wrong. You're just an asshole"
Spot on. She(or should I say her writer) make fair points but, damn if it doesn’t come off as a mix sour grapes/better than you attitude.
@@jamesd4223 She was treated like shit by WWE the entire time she was there, while they also made the dumbest possible decisions they ever could have for her character. There's no reason not to speak strictly negative about them.
@@derpderpin1568That doesn’t excuse her for treating Alexa Bliss like shit. She thought that she was bigger than wrestling when she wasn’t. It made her relevant again after her UFC career ended in a fart.
@@derpderpin1568 If it was a one-off I'd say sure, but she's been like this everywhere she's gone. It's her M.O.: when things go her way, it's all thanks to herself and you won't hear the end of how great she thinks she is; and when they don't go her way, everyone else is to blame and she bails. Who is the constant in these situations? To quote Raylan Givens: if you meet an asshole in the morning, you met one asshole -- if you meet assholes all day, you're probably the asshole.
Jim is 100% correct, Ronda shitting on valets in the past like they were irrelevant or not over is bullshit. Sherri or Mizz Elizabeth > Ronda entire legacy
The funny thing is Sherri was probably a better worker than her in the ring.
@@theboxingboy7422Sherri was better in the ring.
Ronda was talking about the treatment of women in wrestling with men in positions of power
@@rogerday664 it's a work or doesn't she know?
Do not ever mention a useless potted plant like Miss Elizabeth in the same sentence as Sherri Martel again!
What an insult!
The problem with her whole argument about the demeaning of women is it happened BEFORE SHE WAS THERE....if she had an issue with it then why would you sign. And if you do you just admit you are a money grubbing hypocrite. If this was someone of that era and she did it because she needed a job like Victoria that would be one thing...or if you were making a point that it has changed fine....but you cant say this sucks and then say but I dint care and worked there
That goes for anyone who ever worked for Vince. Too many people are comfortable jumping on and off their high horse when dealing with Vince.
@@chuckles9767I mean technically there are a ton of other sources of oil ...albeit almost all from countries with issues like Russia, Colombia or the US lol
@@rl318Yeah it kind of is. This is not shocking behavior in that he is a sexual man and had women did horribly degrading things. Its not like people are jhust discovering Vince was a cannibal or something
@@jfdrac For a person like Rousey, all of these revelations about someone like Vince sound naive and maybe a little hypocritical, especially since she also worked in the UFC for Dana White, who has some issues with women, is explorative, and just comes off as an all-around dirt bag.

She's so full of herself!
In all honestly, when WWE signed her she was already damaged goods. After Holly Holm made her, her bitch. She was nothing special any longer and in hindsight we learned she's got a bigger ego than Hulk Hogan
UFC fans saw first hand Ronda Rousey's delusionalness and immaturity when she coached on The Ultimate Fighter season 18 against Miesha Tate back in 2013. Here we are 11 years later and nothing has changed.

That and then Nunes squashing her 'comeback'.
Holly destroyed her mystic and exposed her. Nunes ended her career, u could tell she was not ready for that fight and got beat down. Nunes just landed bomb after bomb to her.

She also bragged about getting dicked down before every fight to pump her up. 😂
She had no problem taking his money. She would be in obscurity if it wasn't for Vince.
Your first sentence is true your second comment is a complete lie I don't like Rhonda Rousey either but she's a ufc hof for a reason
I love Brian having to point out "That's not true!" and "No!" when Cornette goes on his promo tangents
I love their dynamic as well.
Best part of the ad reads. Many try to replicate but they knock it out the park everytime
They have real Bobby/Gorilla energy.
Ronda Rousey fears Holly Holm
certainly rearranged her headspace in less than 6 minutes.
Fuck, she would fear Page Vanzent (for those not in the know, she a crappy UFC fighter)
I can believe Ronda had a concussion after Holly's kick to the head.
Rousey fears any decent striker TBH. The game passed her by and she was too arrogant and incapable of evolving beyond imagining herself a "world class striker" (Which was laughable) to keep up.
Hope she enjoys obscurity because she's going in the "Where Are They Now?" file as soon as the hype about her bad takes in this book dies down.
Hope the books sell better than her fights.. Holm starched her and nunes erased her.. dollar store brock with a quarter the talent if even..
My question is, why is she saying all of this NOW? Yet she’s the one who knew about all of this and felt this way but returned to the company multiple times. So that makes her just as bad as everyone for knowing and saying nothing about it then
And she’ll be hailed as a “brave survivor” by other dumba** women that would have kept quiet exactly like Ronda and Stephanie if they were in their shoes and getting all that money. All women are hypocrites that would jump at the chance if offered
She's done as a personality. She's riding the wave of Devil Vince to come out on top as a fighter for women's rights...
Money. Wwe is hot at the moment and she's going to try and make money off that not realising that no one cares about her.
To sell her book, controversy creates cash.😉
@@GhostofKittyKatDawg Exactly 👍
Nailed it, when she was presented as the superstar, main events, all the focus, pampered , she loved it. Fans turned on her ( welcome to wrestling) and she resented it. Returns to see her star power is gone, fans not thrilled to see her anymore and treated like every other performer so her ego couldnt take it. Her whole second run could she she was so disinterested in being there. So being fair like to read timeline and full context, was she forced back for her contract, was anything actually happening to her to be told or just you're not the star anymore , you dont get same treatment.
Didn’t she go to Saudi?? Interesting she’s got something to say about when she participated in shows over there
And cashing that sexist misogynistic money too...
Rousey talking about stuff that took place way before she got into wrestling which she knows very little about. She's a former MMA athlete not a journalist or historian. Weird biography 😅
Ronda complaining about women being in bra and pantie matches. Didn’t she do a photo shoots on the beach where she wore next nothing?
I’m no WWE apologist BUT this is the reason Jim always speak on the wrestling business used to be and still should be hard to get into. Back in the territory days it was easier to get into the MAFIA than the wrestling business. WWE let anybody in now. I mean didn’t they have a Latino Pop star beat one of their top guys? 😆Ronda should have never been allowed in the business especially since it seems like she’s not the most mentally stable person. It’s WWE own fault 🤡
Yep, look at Maxine for example. Sure she is a nice woman and everyone likes her backstage but does she truly like business or wants to be on tv?
Well if they did, maybe we woulsnt havr Logan Paul, also nah Rousey was an ex UFC star, Old days or no, her former career would uave netted her an in
@@dwlc4288 I think she wants to be famous I remember back in a interview she was talking about wanting to get into the fashion world and start a clothing line or something like that.
@@tyyrreekk9005she's already doing that as a side hustle. She was obviously hired as strictly a valet, but she's also making the effort to try and earn her spot which for what it's worth is commendable. She at the very least is giving it an honest try instead of cutting and running when presented with a change in her status from manager to performer.
Ronda Rousey would have gotten into wrestling even in the old days because she was an MMA fighter. Shooters always were able to get in to Wrestling...
Not taking away from her mma skills cause she is definitely the pioneer of women’s mma but they also played off her being attractive back then. She was doing nude photo shoots with only the belts covering her up now she’s bringing up looks. The hypocrisy
Facially she's nothing great to look at, Jim's right on that one.
Gina Carano paved the way for Ronda, she's not even a pioneer.
@@gmac673 Gina and Meisha both were getting some buzz and fellow pioneers but they did not have the impact Rhonda had. Rhonda is like the hulk hogan of women’s mma.
@@thewholefnshow and yet Gina had a better TV and movie career than Ronda.
For the record, I didn't say anything about Ronda not having the biggest impact, but if it wasn't for the success of Gina Carano in women's MMA, who knows if Ronda would have even got the chance to take it to the next level.
And how much money did she make at WWE? Didn't seem to have a problem with the environment when she was main eventing Mania.
She probably did since she didn't win.
The most painful thing, at least with my ears, to ever happen involving her career is voicing Sonya Blade in Mortal Kombat 11.
Her performance was so terrible, they reused her voice lines for the DLC character introductions. Oh, and she didn’t voice Sonya in the ‘Aftermath’ expansion.
She was horrible. When Ed Boon revealed she was voicing Sonya he said "We've got a 'real badass' voicing a badass." My immediate though was, "Yeah, sure Ed, never mind the fact that she's always been a dogshit actress, and is in actuality a fake badass with a fagile ego."
This reads like a Wikipedia entry Ronda looked up on WWE's history with sexism. I don't disagree with her, but I hope she has more specific stories about the same in the rest of the book.
💯 about how she just looked all this stuff up on Wikipedia. She is not going to have any specific stories to tell because she had no friends in the locker room to confide stuff like that to her.
Sexism doesnt exist
Rousey thought she could show up to the WWE and get her friends over and once that wasn't going to happen she wanted to leave
Because her friends Jessyman duke and marina shafir were absolutely terrible. They were in developmental for three years and didn't improve at all so they had to cut there losses and get rid of them.
💯 and the WWE pumping into her head that everyone would like her and etc from the jump
Shayna Baszler is her friend and she is far better than Rhonda Rousey. Better at wresting and talking.

@@carloscjr23 some fans of women's wrestling are so hyperbolic. Rousey is the sole reason a Women's WM main event ever happened. JR, although not there at the time, said as much. She's the biggest star they ever had, yes she was shit at the end but she was instrumental at the start.
Smackdown vs Raw 2006 had a "Fulfill your Fantasy match" where there's a giant bed in the ring and you spank and hit your opponent with pillows to build a Fantasy meter or something 😅 to win the match

She's such a crybaby.

Rhonda: "...IF I ONLY HAD TIME!!"
She definitely sounds full up to HERE with it. Whatever IT is….
If she had a problem with how the women were treated back then, why would you even join the company.
And if she thinks it was bad back then she would have loved the nineties. Or even the eighties. Just ask Wendy Richter.
Elisabeth was far from a footnote. She Outshined most people and she didn't take cheap shot
Ronda actually is borderline illiterate. Thats no joke.
Ronda Rousey stated that she suffered a concussion from a slap from Stephanie McMahon, of all people.
Her ego is as fragile as her head.
Steph also knocked out a commentator when she slapped him with her ring on
I would've had to pop the mess out of Stephanie if she slapped me so hard she concussed me. She is worse than Shane, they never pull back on their punches/slaps.

Amanda nunes kicked her head into a different state lol
No. That was Holly Holm that head kicked her. Nunes got the tko with punches... @@frankwhite7878
Seems to me, her ego has never truly recovered since Holms gave it a darn good bruising and Nunes laid it to sleep.
There, there, Rhonda. I'm sure you will always remain notable......in your own head.
So… Based on these quotes, Ronda wrote a book not about her own experiences, but the experiences of other women in the industry.
So is she sharing profits of the book with those women, or is she just a POS making money off the stories of other women?
I find it hilarious Rhonda being so outspoken but never responded to the mma fighter who brought up her receiving a brand new luxury vehicle that Vince surprised her with prior to a Wrestlemania she was in. Not certain which mania the fighter was referring to.
Brian couldn’t get Jim off this topic fast enough
She couldn't hack it in the movies, so she thought wrestling would make her more beloved not realizing that fans can see through her a mile away compared to fight fans.
Ronda is just piling on. All those things she complained about in the WWE's past didn't deter her from signing for some reason
Holy sh*t, so much going on in the thumbnail Travis. 😂
"It was still clear that the organization placed more value on a women's physical appearance than their physical ability"
Brings Lex Luger and The Warrior and The Great Khali to mind.
Why is she talking about a time in wrestling before she was even famous to strengthen her argument lol?
I don't watch much live shows but from what I can tell, the women wrestlers are highly respected these days, probably more than some of the male talent.
Its funny Rhondas on her high horse about sexualizing women in sports but forgets when she was UFCs prize fighter she did swinsuit photo shoots for ESPN
it gets even worse when you look at how many women in the ufc get mocked for their looks and get ignored by media, while ronda got so much attention imagine how fast she would have quitted mma if she didnt have her looks
This book seems so weird to me, I thought she was going to talk about her personal experience and things she’d seen. She wasn’t there for any of these things and she was given everything a woman could ask for in wrestling, I really don’t understand why she’s upset
It's quite obvious now that it was mostly her decision to put over Bayzler in a "shoot" match that absolutely sucked & they let her because they knew it would fail & that something was coming down the pipeline.
Ironically, young Ronda was a looker and it played a big part in her getting pushed over other women’s MMA athletes like Cyborg who…weren’t conventionally attractive.
Imagine if Dana had mocked Ronda like he did Cyborg , im sure Ronda would totaly have had all those opportunities handed down to her due to merit /s
I love how Rhonda/the ghostwriter basically rips on a woman if she wants to just be a manager/valet. Not every person can go in the ring full time nor should they have to if you can make some money off of them in other ways. Sherri Martel was an amazing manager and entertaining from things I saw of her in the later 80s or 90s. She was a personality and she'd take bumps but not wrestle.
The part that gets me, as someone who’s worked around copywriters and authors, is that whomever wrote this, wrote it EASILY a year ago, well before the massive names were released in the lawsuit. The way she’s like “I want to talk about these specific people but the publishers said no” being in there BEFORE the lawsuit definitely raises some corroboration alarms.
Wow, she got handed everything there ... Being bitter, if they buried you, I can understand. But if they push me to the moon (and even in the first ever female Mania main event), then why being angry??? What else does she want??? She is never satisfied.
I remember when ronda was first being teased around 2019. Everyone was basically saying how she wouldn't be able to handle when the fans turn on her.
And look where we are now.
When wwe fans turn on you you got two options.
1. You can do what anyone else would do. Turn heel. Not all heels are cheered for. At that point the boos are the entire point. That's what most companies/superstars tend to do when a face starts being hated by the fans.
2. Pull a john cena and play into it. Of you got a 50/50 split in likability like he did then you can try and play into both side.
But this is ronda rousey we're talking about. Not suprised she took her millions and then ran her mouth because in the end she got what she wanted.
Mick Foley exposed the business for every biolography by a wrestler: they're all ghost writers 😂 Thanks for the call out Jim 🤣
Mick Foley, Edge, and Bret Hart are the only wrestlers who I can think of off the top of my head who actually wrote their own books and didn't use ghost writers.

Not exactly world shattering revelations
Pat Patterson ran a casting couch too
I always enjoyed Ronda's matches because that was always my cue to go get a snack and use the restroom because I knew I wasn't going to miss anything interesting.
Bra and panties matches actually got eyes on the women. If they brought them back they would actually get more eyes on the women.
The day she got booed in her hometown. That was a disgusting UFC knockout punch to her ego that thought she was seriously on legendary status. She was never the same after that night.
The hypocrisy is sick how do you take millions and then have the nerve to try and write a tell all. Dude this is sad AF.
This sounds like another former disgruntled employee of the WWE
Omg I can't wait to see where the picture makes sense!!
Despite WWE being such a supposedly sexist company that occasionally held events in countries where sexism is mandated by the state, Ronda certainly didn't have a problem making multiple spotlight appearances for the company and collecting millions of dollars. Her words might have more integrity & power to them if Ronda didn't like the money & attention that it gave her. Even if she does have a point, Ronda is totally *not* the person to be acting like a whistleblower in the industry when she was waist-deep in it and didn't find it objectionable until now.
Everything she says is exactly correct....and it DOES suck......BUT....as others have so astutely pointed out....she knew this going in! Why become involved with such a detestable company (which it most certainly is)....if she is so offended by them. That's like saying "Playboy is disgusting and misogynistic" after posing nude......cmon...
Ya know, I always love to guess at the context behind seeing these awesome thumbnails before hearing about it first!😂.. it's quite fun.
Remember at Wrestlemania V when Rowdy Roddy Piper won his “talking in the ring” match by ripping the “skirt” off off Brother Love, stripping him down to his red panties and watching him run a quarter mile back to the dressing room, stumbling and bumbling the whole way?

Why is HER book going through women’s history in wrestling when she wasn’t there for any of it….? When you’re so salty you’re taking shots that have nothing to do with you and wasn’t even there! (Insert bulldog voice)
Talking like she invented the female wrestler and they were just strippers before her… 🤦🏻♀️
She actually makes a lot of good points but she is a hypocrite
I think she might be talking about certain wrestlers when she mentioned "powerful men" having "casting couches." But then again, does she want to be sued by name dropping?
She just wants to paint with broad strokes to get Twitter mobs active. She’s still speaking in 2017 Me Too phrasing. But what she’s really doing is tainting the image of a lot of people who did nothing wrong by being so general. She doesn’t have to name exact people, but she does need to give more because with her written verbiage, it just sounds like she’s saying “all men are power hungry degenerates”, which is the statement of an uneducated teen.
Jim Cornette has that usual wrestling fan "The Entire Business isn't just WWE!" response, except by a factor of ten because he also worked for TNA, ROH, WCW, NWA, etc. while being a wrestling historian on top of it.
I'm going to have the unpopular opinion of course.
I feel like Rhonda has a lot of valid points.
Obviously by legal standards, she can't name names. But I suspect there's more involved end scandals then Vince
and his partner. I suspect Dutch is right. Probably more involved.
Love how Jim says bra n panties matches were goofy and demeaning for wrestling but not the actual women involved in them. Him and all his arse-licking marks in the comment sections of his videos are part of the problem.
I remember the Miss. Elizabeth vs. Queen sherri feud was great. They didn't even have to have a match. I women with a sharp tongue can cut deeper than any blade.

Ronda did topless photo shoots for Maxim while fighting for UFC before she went to WWE. And in Strikeforce, she was cutting promos about how Miesha Tate looked. Furthermore, WWE having events in Saudi Arabia opens the door for those fans to see American culture and change their ideas.
