  • The Selle Français is the epitome of what a sport horse should be, athletic, strong with good bone and muscle, and intelligent with a tractable disposition. Primarily known for its excellence in show junping, the versatile Selle Français also excels in dressage and eventing.
Today's Selle Français is the result of generations of selective breeding in France, which has produced a horse of exceptional athletic ability, keen intelligence and willing disposition. This careful breeding program has proven itself time and time again, with Selle Français horses consistantly being among the top competitors.
In 1999, Baloubet du Roulet, a Selle Français by Galoubet, won the World Cup of Show Jumping for the second year in a row. In the United States, the Selle Français gelding, Twist du Valon, by Narcos II (full brother to Mazarin V) was the AGA horse of the year for 1998. Selle Français horses have competed on the Olympic show jumping teams of many countries.
