Do not try to understand what Jesus was saying by thinking of what you have been told by religious teachers. They can only repeat from the scriptures and have no personal knowledge of the Kingdom of God or Heaven. God is not contained within any one place but is everywhere, as are the heavens and air above you. The Holy Word spoke truly when it says: in God you live, move and have your being. For the Kingdom of God is above, around and also within you - and you can enter the Kingdom of God. But what is it? It is a state of mind and heart which is fully possessed by God - our Father. When you are in this state, the Father is the head of your body and directs everything you do and all of your life. How can that be? It is possible to be so emptied of selfish desires, enmities, angers, jealousies, greed, and vindictiveness that only God is left in control within your mind and heart. What happens then? Then you enter into the State of Being which is God-directed. It is altogether beautiful and glorious. It is Love, it is generosity, it is caring for other people as you care for yourself, it is non-judgmental since you accept other people exactly as they are, knowing that they too are God’s children and are equally in the Father’s care. It is happiness beyond measure, beyond description, it is joy in the beauty of the world, it is life unlimited and increased energy, it is health and it is the fulfilment of your every need before you even know that you have such a need. You suffer because you do not understand how you have been created, and the true purposes for which you were born. You were born to be sons and heirs of the Father, you were born to enjoy all that the Father is in Himself, and all that He can give you. But you turn your backs on all the glory of the Kingdom and try to find pleasures in earthly things. While you do this, you will never find the Kingdom of God; nor enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. How shall we enter the Kingdom? Jesus has already told you. You enter the Kingdom of Heaven when you repent of all that you are in your heart and mind. When you take your evil to the Father and ask forgiveness and pray for the strength to be cleansed of your evil thoughts, words and deeds, and you finally get rid of them, then you may be sure that you are about to find the Kingdom of Heaven. When you have accomplished this, you will find that your attitudes towards others are changing, for the Father will be doing His Love Work within you. You will be free of the chains and thongs of evil desires and deeds which previously bound you and made you a captive in the world. More than this, you will find that the Father does satisfy your every need.
Many religious leaders (though few compared to the entirety of them) have the True teaching of the Kingdom of God, because many are Born of God and have the Truth of God's Kingdom abiding in themselves, just as Jesus does. Anyone who has the Spirit of Christ belongs to Christ. And whoever has Christ Jesus, has the Father also. So don't be too quick to ignore ALL religious teachers. God has taught me much about His Kingdom thru Christian teachers and men that are walking in the Way of Jesus.

Because religious teachers have no personal knowledge of God - they must read from their "Holy Book" - the words of holy men spoken a thousand years ago - and tell themselves what the words mean. But all religious teachers speak is drawn from their own little minds which are imprisoned in the comforts of their lives - sunk in the expectations of what they shall eat or drink or what apparel they will wear to impress people. Religious teachers know nothing of the inspiration which gave birth to the words spoken by the Prophets or by Jesus all those centuries ago. Neither do religious teachers know whether those words are what we really need to hear at this moment - for times have changed. Believe me - religious teachers are strong in imagination and do not want to be moved on from all that they regard as "secure" and "everlasting" in their traditions and observances. Any deviation will disturb the foundations of their religious beliefs and therefore of their lives - and so religious teachers build mental defenses against the inflow of the Power of God. Religious teachers too - get sick - and they - in their own way - know misery as do non-believers.

Brothers, we're missing a very important point of the matter... The Lord Jesus is revealed on Matthew's gospel as the Messiah, The True King of Israel and He came to establish His Kingdom here but He couldn't because the reject of His people to be He their king (John 1:11 and Luke 19:14-16) so the establishment of His Kingdom (1 Corinthians 15:25) was delayed after the period of the grace and after the judgment of God over this earth (the tribulation and the great tribulation) and after that He will come as we see in Matthew 24:30, 25:31, 34, John 19:37 and He will establish His Kingdom with Israel, and those who accepted the gospel of the Kingdom, for 1000 years as we profetically see in Revelation 20:4-6 and 22:1-4 and in the Psalm 96:6-10, 97:1, 98:2-3 and 99:2.

There will only be one government over mankind, God's Kingdom government, Daniel 2:44, and it will rule forever! In order to receive everlasting life and the blessings that God has promised we must worship the Father with spirit and truth, John 4:22-24. Pray for truth and understanding of God's Word, God answers sincere prayers from humble hearts! James 4:8; Isaiah 42:8; John 17:3.

What is any kingdom ? It is, in essence, a GOVERNMENT. It has a king, laws, subjects and also co-rulers. Jesus is the king of God's kingdom. His rulership is heavenly, not earthly. He has those who will rule with him. They will " reign with him for the thousand years as kings and priests " Revelation 20:6. That they act as such, shows that there will be subjects of that government here on earth. Jesus while on earth, gave an illustration about a man of noble birth who traveled to a distant land " to secure kingly power { or to become king ) and then return." Luke 19:12. The man in time returns and asks an accounting from his slaves but also orders the execution of his enemies. Vs.27. Jesus is, of course, the man in the illustration. Daniel 7: 13,14 shows how the Son of Man would be granted a kingdom that would "rule over all peoples, nations and, language groups". That he would have those who rule with him is evident in Vs. 18. In the 2nd chapter of Daniel, this kingdom is shown destroying all other kingdoms or governments here on earth. It alone will rule. Vs. 44. So we have a government, or a kingdom, that has a King, Christ Jesus. He has those who rule with him in heaven. It also has earthly subjects of that heavenly government. It has laws that it will enforce and it takes action against it's enemies. What is being described is obviously not just a nice, warm feeling in the hearts of believers. It is God's government, with His appointed King, Christ Jesus ruling from heaven. It will crush all other forms of rulership and fulfill all of God's promises. Now is the time to find out what is required to become a subject of that government.
Israel was waiting for the Messiah (the Anointed One), i.e. a king. Jesus came and said that the kingdom is near because he was God's chosen. Instead of being crowned king, he was crucified and that resulted in the kingdom not coming. Therefore we pray that it will come. Kingdom now theology has mistakenly replaced Israel with the church and suggests that the kingdom of God is here now, which is a bizarre thought when you look at the world. Jesus himself said that "they (Israelites) would not see him again UNTIL they say blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord" (it was Jesus who came in the name of the Lord). So Jesus will not come until Israel as a nation sees Jesus as the King over Israel. The "mystery of the Kingdom of God" is that a part of Israel was given hardened hearts so that the Gentiles and jews who believed would be a part of Gods family by faith, but only "until the Gentiles reached their full number" then ALL Israel will be saved. There will come a time when God has full focus on Israel and it will happen through the tribulation when the bride of Christ has been caught up.

WHAT JESUS MEANT BY SOME PEOPLE NOT ENTERING THE KINGDOM OF GOD (PSST…NOT HELL!) Most of the Jews of Jesus' day believed in an imminent Day of Judgment-- a large Citizenship Court Hearing, that a new king, called the Messiah, would conduct following his arrival to oust the Romans from Judea. For those Jews who had been faithful to God, the Jewish prophets promised citizenship in this coming kingdom--the new, independent, theocratic, Jewish government the Messiah would set up, beginning in Jerusalem and, from there, eventually, spreading to all the rest of the earth! To be clear, this "Kingdom of God," was not some pie in the sky, but a real, earthly government, with a lot of people working in many of the administrative positions, and all the perks that would go with them, like nice places to live! This new state of Israel was the "inheritance" God promised the Jewish people once they repented of their sins. But it was obvious, especially in Jesus' day, that not all the Jews were living according to what the Law of Moses and the Prophets said they should, but just doing whatever they could get away with under Roman rule, to live it up, even at the expense of their fellow Jews! These errant Jews were called "sinners," and the ones thought to be the worst sinners were the "publicans," those who collected taxes for Rome by defrauding their fellow Jews. The faithful Jews, however, believed the Messiah would grant citizenship in the new Jewish government only to the observant Jews, and the "sinners and publicans" would be exiled and regarded no better than all the other Gentiles, if not worse! Jesus of Nazareth spoke about this coming Citizenship Court Day, but he added another element to it--that many of those who were claiming to be the most righteous for all their outward piety would actually end up worse off than the "sinners and publicans"! He said they would not only fail to receive some of the really good jobs in the new government of the Messiah, but would not even get citizenship at all! In fact, he said the Messiah was going to look at all their phony good works as if they are just a bunch of dry sticks and have them (the fake good works, that is) all "burned up"! Then, they'd have to leave and, in effect, be thrown out into the "cold" of exile from the kingdom and, as they're leaving, they would be crying ("weeping") and their teeth would begin chattering, ("gnashing") from the metaphorical sense of "darkness" and "cold" they're going to feel when, in complete contrast to all their expectations, they'll end up being the LAST ones to ever get their citizenship! However, it's not that Jesus said anyone, not even the self-righteous, would NEVER get their "green card" in the coming kingdom of God. He did say the "sinners and publicans" would get theirs beforehand! But let's be clear, it's nuts to think Jesus' many warnings to the self-righteous and fake pious people of his day would result in, themselves, getting burned alive in some spirit world after they die! It was only due to a real misunderstand of Jesus' teachings about fake good works getting "burned up" by later Greco-Roman converts to Christianity who thought he meant to say the exiled would, themselves, get burned alive! The Kingdom of God is heaven and the overall heirarchy of angels and ascending beings. The church is nothing. All churches and temples and all religions mean absolutely NOTHING to God and the universe. Every Jewish and Christian religious leader was NOT a religious leader at first. Jesus ALWAYS had the power and authority over this universe but long ago angels had been assigned to certain jobs. Lucifer was in a high leadership position over the angels. Before Jesus could relieve Lucifer and other high level angels from their leadership positions Jesus had to experience primitive life. This is one of the reason Lucifer started a rebellion. He knew his time as a leader of the angels was coming to an end. It is happiness beyond measure, beyond description, it is joy in the beauty of the world, it is life unlimited and increased energy, it is health and it is the fulfilment of your every need before you even know that you have such a need.
You suffer because you do not understand how you have been created, and the true purposes for which you were born.
You were born to be sons and heirs of the Father, you were born to enjoy all that the Father is in Himself, and all that He can give you. But you turn your backs on all the glory of the Kingdom and try to find pleasures in earthly things. While you do this, you will never find the Kingdom of God; nor enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.
How shall we enter the Kingdom?
Jesus has already told you. You enter the Kingdom of Heaven when you repent of all that you are in your heart and mind. When you take your evil to the Father and ask forgiveness and pray for the strength to be cleansed of your evil thoughts, words and deeds, and you finally get rid of them, then you may be sure that you are about to find the Kingdom of Heaven. More than this, you will find that the Father does satisfy your every need.
Many religious leaders (though few compared to the entirety of them) have the True teaching of the Kingdom of God, because many are Born of God and have the Truth of God's Kingdom abiding in themselves, just as Jesus does. Anyone who has the Spirit of Christ belongs to Christ. And whoever has Christ Jesus, has the Father also. So don't be too quick to ignore ALL religious teachers. God has taught me much about His Kingdom thru Christian teachers and men that are walking in the Way of Jesus.

Religious teachers are at ease in their own comforts of positions of authority. Religious teachers have no need of anything beyond their own imaginations. Because religious teachers have no personal knowledge of God - they must read from their "Holy Book" - the words of holy men spoken a thousand years ago - and tell themselves what the words mean.
But all religious teachers speak is drawn from their own little minds which are imprisoned in the comforts of their lives - sunk in the expectations of what they shall eat or drink or what apparel they will wear to impress people. Religious teachers know nothing of the inspiration which gave birth to the words spoken by the Prophets or by Jesus all those centuries ago. Neither do religious teachers know whether those words are what we really need to hear at this moment - for times have changed.
Believe me - religious teachers are strong in imagination and do not want to be moved on from all that they regard as "secure" and "everlasting" in their traditions and observances. Any deviation will disturb the foundations of their religious beliefs and therefore of their lives - and so religious teachers build mental defenses against the inflow of the Power of God. Religious teachers too - get sick - and they - in their own way - know misery as do non-believers.

Brothers, we're missing a very important point of the matter... The Lord Jesus is revealed on Matthew's gospel as the Messiah, The True King of Israel and He came to establish His Kingdom here but He couldn't because the reject of His people to be He their king (John 1:11 and Luke 19:14-16) so the establishment of His Kingdom (1 Corinthians 15:25) was delayed after the period of the grace and after the judgment of God over this earth (the tribulation and the great tribulation) and after that He will come as we see in Matthew 24:30, 25:31, 34, John 19:37 and He will establish His Kingdom with Israel, and those who accepted the gospel of the Kingdom, for 1000 years as we profetically see in Revelation 20:4-6 and 22:1-4 and in the Psalm 96:6-10, 97:1, 98:2-3 and 99:2.
Jesus told Christians to pray for God's Kingdom to come and for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, Matthew 6:10. These are the last day's of wickedness and soon God's Kingdom government will bring beautiful changes to the earth. Jesus will make sure that God's Will is done on earth as it is in heaven. There will be no more death, pain or sorrow on earth, Revelation 21:4,5. No more wickedness on earth, Psalms 37:9-11, John 3:16. Jesus will do on a grand scale what he did when he walked the earth including raising those who are asleep in death, John 5:28,29. Earth will be cultivated into a Paradise like God intended in the beginning, Genesis 1:28; Isaiah 55:11. Only righteous hearted meek ones will inherit the earth and live forever on it, Psalms 37:29; Matthew 5:5; Proverbs 2:21,22. There will only be one government over mankind, God's Kingdom government, Daniel 2:44, and it will rule forever! In order to receive everlasting life and the blessings that God has promised we must worship the Father with spirit and truth, John 4:22-24. What is any kingdom ?
It is, in essence, a GOVERNMENT. It has a king, laws, subjects and also co-rulers. Jesus is the king of God's kingdom. His rulership is heavenly, not earthly. He has those who will rule with him. They will " reign with him for the thousand years as kings and priests " Revelation 20:6. That they act as such, shows that there will be subjects of that government here on earth.
Jesus while on earth, gave an illustration about a man of noble birth who traveled to a distant land " to secure kingly power { or to become king ) and then return." Luke 19:12. The man in time returns and asks an accounting from his slaves but also orders the execution of his enemies. Vs.27. Jesus is, of course, the man in the illustration. Daniel 7: 13,14 shows how the Son of Man would be granted a kingdom that would "rule over all peoples, nations and, language groups". That he would have those who rule with him is evident in Vs. 18. In the 2nd chapter of Daniel, this kingdom is shown destroying all other kingdoms or governments here on earth. It alone will rule. Vs. 44.
So we have a government, or a kingdom, that has a King, Christ Jesus. He has those who rule with him in heaven. It also has earthly subjects of that heavenly government. It has laws that it will enforce and it takes action against it's enemies.
What is being described is obviously not just a nice, warm feeling in the hearts of believers. It is God's government, with His appointed King, Christ Jesus ruling from heaven. It will crush all other forms of rulership and fulfill all of God's promises. Now is the time to find out what is required to become a subject of that government.

Israel was waiting for the Messiah (the Anointed One), i.e. a king. Jesus came and said that the kingdom is near because he was God's chosen. Instead of being crowned king, he was crucified and that resulted in the kingdom not coming. Therefore we pray that it will come. Kingdom now theology has mistakenly replaced Israel with the church and suggests that the kingdom of God is here now, which is a bizarre thought when you look at the world. Jesus himself said that "they (Israelites) would not see him again UNTIL they say blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord" (it was Jesus who came in the name of the Lord). So Jesus will not come until Israel as a nation sees Jesus as the King over Israel. The "mystery of the Kingdom of God" is that a part of Israel was given hardened hearts so that the Gentiles and jews who believed would be a part of Gods family by faith, but only "until the Gentiles reached their full number" then ALL Israel will be saved. There will come a time when God has full focus on Israel and it will happen through the tribulation when the bride of Christ has been caught up.

The kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of God are not the same thing. Michael Pearl at the door on CZcams has a great teaching called eight kingdoms. It helps you understand the whole Bible.

Jesus taught the kingdom of God. He, Jesus was the messiah, the king to rule the whole world. He was speaking to Jews who understood the rule of God through the imagery of the rule of David. Because Jesus hinted that he was the messiah, he was the coming king, it bought persecution from the pharisees who expected a warrior, earthly David. But in the New testament the apostles taught the rule of God by using the term LORD. Jesus is lord. He is the ruler. Caesar is lord, caesar is the ruler was the gentile concept of absolute lordship. So the aposles taught Jesus is lord, and for this they were persecuted.

WHAT JESUS MEANT BY SOME PEOPLE NOT ENTERING THE KINGDOM OF GOD (PSST…NOT HELL!)
Most of the Jews of Jesus' day believed in an imminent Day of Judgment-- a large Citizenship Court Hearing, that a new king, called the Messiah, would conduct following his arrival to oust the Romans from Judea.
For those Jews who had been faithful to God, the Jewish prophets promised citizenship in this coming kingdom--the new, independent, theocratic, Jewish government the Messiah would set up, beginning in Jerusalem and, from there, eventually, spreading to all the rest of the earth!
To be clear, this "Kingdom of God," was not some pie in the sky, but a real, earthly government, with a lot of people working in many of the administrative positions, and all the perks that would go with them, like nice places to live!
This new state of Israel was the "inheritance" God promised the Jewish people once they repented of their sins. But it was obvious, especially in Jesus' day, that not all the Jews were living according to what the Law of Moses and the Prophets said they should, but just doing whatever they could get away with under Roman rule, to live it up, even at the expense of their fellow Jews!
These errant Jews were called "sinners," and the ones thought to be the worst sinners were the "publicans," those who collected taxes for Rome by defrauding their fellow Jews.
The faithful Jews, however, believed the Messiah would grant citizenship in the new Jewish government only to the observant Jews, and the "sinners and publicans" would be exiled and regarded no better than all the other Gentiles, if not worse!
Jesus of Nazareth spoke about this coming Citizenship Court Day, but he added another element to it--that many of those who were claiming to be the most righteous for all their outward piety would actually end up worse off than the "sinners and publicans"! He said they would not only fail to receive some of the really good jobs in the new government of the Messiah, but would not even get citizenship at all!
In fact, he said the Messiah was going to look at all their phony good works as if they are just a bunch of dry sticks and have them (the fake good works, that is) all "burned up"! Then, they'd have to leave and, in effect, be thrown out into the "cold" of exile from the kingdom and, as they're leaving, they would be crying ("weeping") and their teeth would begin chattering, ("gnashing") from the metaphorical sense of "darkness" and "cold" they're going to feel when, in complete contrast to all their expectations, they'll end up being the LAST ones to ever get their citizenship!
However, it's not that Jesus said anyone, not even the self-righteous, would NEVER get their "green card" in the coming kingdom of God. He did say the "sinners and publicans" would get theirs beforehand!
But let's be clear, it's nuts to think Jesus' many warnings to the self-righteous and fake pious people of his day would result in, themselves, getting burned alive in some spirit world after they die! It was only due to a real misunderstand of Jesus' teachings about fake good works getting "burned up" by later Greco-Roman converts to Christianity who thought he meant to say the exiled would, themselves, get burned alive!
Thing is, there are false preachers and teachers who are perpetuating this mistaken idea as if it were really true!

I am no theologian but having experiences, do agree, the kingdom of heaven is God's kingdom or also called the kingdom of God. Not just His rule or reign. According to Paul having at least three levels.
The kingdom of God and the kingdom of Heaven is where God is known to Live with His Chosen and reign. Where Christ and the law of Christ, the everlasting covenant, also known as the law of faith and the law of love, is the supreme rule, only the born again can see or enter.
It is an actual spiritual kingdom within you, just as The Lord Christ said. Very different from what the carnal mind can conceive or even imagine. You feel nothing but love, peace, honor, integrity, faithfulness, kindness and all things right and proper there. being full of faith and feeling the love, joy and power of God permeate every cell and fiber of your being. Having the upmost respect and reverence toward The Father and Son. The greatest experience one can have in this life by far.

The Kingdom of God is heaven and the overall heirarchy of angels and ascending beings.
The church is nothing. All churches and temples and all religions mean absolutely NOTHING to God and the universe. Every Jewish and Christian religious leader was NOT a religious leader at first. Moses was not a rabbi and the ideas he gave his people were different than previous beliefs. Jesus was not a rabbi and the ideas he gave the people were different than previous beliefs. God, Jesus, and the angels do not work through primitive human religions.
God's purpose for the world is not to save a people. God doesn't even know the earth exists. The purpose of the universe is so God can experience love and to provide a learning environment for His children.
When Jesus returns it will not be because God or Jesus fixed humanity. It will be because we evolved and became gentle and we learned everything about how God and the universe really work.
When Jesus said that the Kingdom of God is at hand He meant that HE is from God. Jesus is a descending being, from heaven, whereas primitive humans are ascending beings.
Jesus did not come to be crucified. Jesus came to the earth to experience primitive beings. He CHOSE to allow Himself to be crucified to prove to the rebel angels that He is not a privileged coward, as Lucifer was claiming, and that angelic law (do no harm to primitive beings) is to be followed, even when the primitives are irrational.
Jesus ALWAYS had the power and authority over this universe but long ago angels had been assigned to certain jobs. Lucifer was in a high leadership position over the angels. Before Jesus could relieve Lucifer and other high level angels from their leadership positions Jesus had to experience primitive life. This is one of the reason Lucifer started a rebellion. He knew his time as a leader of the angels was coming to an end.
You primitives always think it's all about you and that God and Jesus are just going to fix everything for you so you don't have to do anything. You haven't earned anything yet.
