- There has been some significant work done to the 2023 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships Downhill track in Fort William, Scotland. Some of the biggest holes have been filled in, which makes a safer track, there are new berms from top to bottom and a fresh wood section keeps riders on their toes.

Wow, major work done to Fort Bill, it's never been in such good condition, excellent job track crew. People will say it's been made too "smooth" but an insane amount of work goes into that and tracks do have to made slightly easier to ride for World Champs.
It wont stay like this for too long 🌦and 100% needed the work doing

World champs not on GNC+? Where can we watch the race?
I think GCN+ will broadcast it! but many other tv channels as well. BBC, Eurosport etc. depends on the country, check out the list on pinkbike.

3:18 did they really tape off the middle for being too fast/easy? was this a sort of 'safety taping'? near as i can tell EVERY rider is going to be pre-hopping that middle line and therefore 'cutting the tape' by an inch every run. i dont quite get it...

I don't know man, there are some jumps but it's even too smooth, it seems more like a bike park/Enduro trail, not rough at all and this way it become too fast...and I'd say even dangerous,. I hope that the pov is just flatting it out everything

@@user-iz7zy7rx9t I didn't watch the track walk before writing my post, but riders all said the same; even Bernard Kerr said that this year F.W. is like a Nascar circuit ... it could be hard to win but it's not what I like (maybe not only me) . Any POV of any track looks rougher than this (not only Val di sole).
