I still have yet to do this and it’s so close to me. Damn dude you guys crushed them! Giant fish too. Also I finally found a nice fat brown trout. Might have to take you to my spot next time you’re available for it!

Question for you the rings for the reel seat do they come loose at all ? I see guy's use electrical tape,does Bloodrun have locking reel seats.
Most float rods, this one included come with two free moving black rings to hold the reel. I also put a few wraps of electrical tape under the rings and it's held the reel no problem.
Are you guys anchored there? Or just running the trolling motor?

I’m a local fisherman from Grand Rapids who been chasing steelhead and salmon for about 2-3 seasons and still haven’t caught one I don’t know much about catching them are there any tips or set ups I can use to enhance my chan
I'd look into double bead rigs, that's one of the most popular methods over by GR. Make sure to keep adjusting your float according to where your fishing, you want you bait within a foot of the bottom.

I hope they don't end up knocking down the dam like they plan on doing. That will mess up some great fishing for steelhead and salmon. "Restore the rapids" will destroy a world-class fishery that's an easy access spot for many.
