It conflicted with my real job and paid less than ten bucks an hour to start and the old timers stay around forever and get the best assignments, so by the time I missed work and had to drive, I couldn't justify it. Maybe it is different in Oklahoma and Texas, but they definitely need to tighten it up. These are kids after all.

Only one play was dirty, don't act like all of them are dirty players just because you saw one single moment of someone playing dirty. All of the other plays shown aren't dirty. They are just hitting hard, which is encouraged in football.

Our center had torn his acl the year before, and so this was his first game back and they holded him out until the second half. I went to this game, it’s Choctaw (my home town) and Stillwater which is one of if not the best team in Oklahoma HS football. 2 years before this game was the first time Choctaw went to a football state championship since the 50s and we ended up losing both by less than 20 points. The first game was against Bixby and was played on the same field. This game meant a lot to the small town of Choctaw and we didn’t expect to play as good as we did. That Stillwater team has Mike Gundy’s (head coach for Oklahoma St) son at quarterback that ended up signing to Oklahoma St to be coached by his dad, but got 0 playing time and ended up awkwardly transferring from his fathers team. This is a partial explanation.

Neither of those schools are rich schools. It's a State playoff game being played on a neutral field at the University of Central Oklahoma. The two schools (Stillwater and Choctaw) are rivals and always play each other tough.

At a certain point HC needs to have words with the ref about protecting the kids on the field. If the ref is too crooked or incompetent to see that time to take the team off the field, let video do that talking and make an administrative complaint so vicious the news picks it up.

I went to this game, it’s Choctaw (my home town) and Stillwater which is one of if not the best team in Oklahoma HS football. 2 years before this game was the first time Choctaw went to a football state championship since the 50s and we ended up losing both by less than 20 points. The first game was against Bixby and was played on the same field. This game meant a lot to the small town of Choctaw and we didn’t expect to play as good as we did. That Stillwater team has Mike Gundy’s (head coach for Oklahoma St) son at quarterback that ended up signing to Oklahoma St to be coached by his dad, but got 0 playing time and ended up awkwardly transferring from his fathers team. This is a partial explanation.
I can’t imagine any of the kids fitting in at the NFL level if this is the kind of team environment they’re fostering

This is in Oklahoma Stillwater vs Choctaw. What's interesting is they have limited contact to restrict physical play to lower injuries. I think they limit it to 3hr per week including game time. Its not as physical as it used to be.
